  1. This is some good news to hear. It'll be the park's first coaster in nearly a decade!
  2. Update Year 50 Solar Flare's line was almost non-existant today. It's not the most popular ride in the park anymore. Hershey's Kissing Tower was down for most of the day. I don't really like this area of the park. I think it's because of Kaena Point Fall's supports... Leopard towers over this area of the park. The Great Voyage looks nice in its new location. This whole part of the park has really transformed over the last decade. The area has received two big-buck attractions. Both have turned out to be quite successful. They've done what they were built to do - bring traffic to the back of the park. Even though they might not get as much ridership as the rides in the front of the park, they're still great attractions. More soon.
  3. ^ No comment. ^^^ Yeah, I'm real sorry. I hope it's not a slap in the face, but I'm trying. I'm sure I made several mistakes. I'm taking Honors Spanish II, but I'm only halfway through it. I think I will become bilingual for the rest of the updates, haha.
  4. Hola! Como estas? Hello! How are you? Trabajo a Kindom de Disney! I work at Kindom of Disney! Este parque nueve va a ser bueno! This new park is going to be great! Voy a traer noticias y picturas de el parque. I'm going to bring you news and pictures from the park. Este es donde vas a entrar! This is where you will enter! Mas pronto! More soon. Kingdom de España will begin March of 2008.
  5. ^ Does Universal have the room to move it on-property?
  6. It's about time! It's great to finally see the track.
  7. Update Year 50 Year 50 is going strong here at Hershey's Hawaiian Escape! Surprisingly though, attendance levels are not as high as projected. Leopard as it approaches the final dive. It's a huge rush as the trains roar into the brake run. Which side will win? It's a great ride and has been well-received with the public. It's getting pretty crowded over there! The waterpark was the place to be today. It was at capacity so they set up this waiting area outside the entrance. Grab a ticket! They started calling numbers! I heard the wait was over an hour. This is why they can't add more attractions, the capacity would likely plummet. I never can be here at the right time! I haven't heard if they're going to leave these up after the season's over. I wouldn't mind if they did. One thing that hasn't changed: The Hawaiian Escape Volcano! It's had some different signs and some rides towering over it, but its still the same old piece of fake rock that it's always been! Which volcano do you think is better? The original of the newer Volcanic Resort Hotel? There's been talk of Mt. Hershey Rapids closing for a new family coaster... I wonder what it would be? Rollersoaker? More soon. Surf/Impulse Update - We can put this to rest! There's been so much talk lately about the removal of Surf that the park actually released a statement: There's still talk that the ride was shipped to Hershey's warehouses across town where all of the new track goes to. Now the question is, what happened to it? Any ideas?
  8. They both look awesome! It looks like Hornet has two lifts. Both of them could fit in greatly at a number of parks.
  9. The biggest mistake in Nashville was the closure of Opryland. Hopefully they can try again with this park!
  10. I gotta say that looks crazy awesome. This ride might be a sleeper hit!
  11. Update Year 50 The sun was setting as soon as I got to the park, but that's alright! This place has the best ice cream. The Hershey chocolate makes it that much better. They really squeezed this place in. I rode this dino ride that's been at the park since Year 1! Hey, people are riding this now! The view across Grande Bay. Zhambi Sidewinder is great to ride at nighttime. It's more disorienting at night. You can get some great shots of it from the entrance to Hotel Hellvetica. Bright rides everywhere, and some Taco Bell. This is the best spot in the park to relax. More soon.
  12. Looks like this park is headed in the right direction! The name's not the best, but it's better than half of CF's new names!
  13. The only roadblock here is that Bass Pro has until January 31st to create a third binding letter that will make things more official. Don't get me wrong, Bass Pro is an awesome place! But we already have a (new) great one here. Second off, would you honestly go visit some place because of a Bass Pro? They've also left other places hanging (Buffalo, NY I think) for years without doing anything. This park is a much better deal.
  14. The group has released a more in-depth website: http://pyramidharbor.com/
  15. Update Year 50 The 50th year of Hershey's Hawaiian Escape is here! The park started out as only a small attempt to have something new to do in the great state of Hawaii, but it has now turned into one of the biggest tourist attractions in the state. We've seen rides come and go, but we've seen the quality and feel of the park stay right in its place. I thought I'd start off the first of many Year 50 updates with all Leopard shots! The ride is in the "overgrown" Great Outdoors area of the park. The launch track is surrounded by trees. The new ice cream shop looks great. You can get a great view of the train leaving the station from under the railroad crossing. The train enters the overbank and provides some great picture ops! The ride roars across the blue sky at blazing fast speeds. The ride is better on the left side, I think. Leapord's "pringle" element is directly in front of Excavation's entrance. The helix is the most intense part of the entire ride. More soon. [i did the best I could with the supports.]
  16. Happy birthday, Robb!
  17. Update Year 49 Here's to the last day of the Year 49 season! It's been a big year with the addition of Storm and the Hotel Hellvetica premier! Hotel Hellvetica - The Ride is coming close to completion! I hope the attraction will be able to transform into a new attraction once the Hotel Hellvetica rush dies down in a few years. Overview of the ride. The former spot of the Skyway station is being converted into an eating area for the new Hotel Hellvetica eatery. Work is coming along pretty quickly. The path to the area has been widened. That's a tight fit. Good thing the park's adding some rocks to alieve the closeness of the path and Tropicana Tower. I think it looks great. The new eating area opens up this area of the park. It's better than the old closed down gift shop! Land clearing has begun for Leopard. It is believed that it will open later in the next season. More soon. Update - My "insiders" are telling me that the mega-impulse might already be in Hawaii being stored! I'm being told that the park had purchased the ride right before the "Tigre" incident and decided not to build it but to keep it in storage. Guess we'll have to wait and see on this one.
  18. At least there are a few variations and they're not all painted the exact same color. (Track, supports, and all) I think this ride will be a success, despite the smaller design. As someone brought up earlier, Furius Baco had a short design and that person said they were glad it wasn't longer. This might be the same case.
  19. ^ They come with one of the expansion packs. (can't remember which) They might even come with the standard game but I don't think so.
  20. Hey at least the colors aren't what they are in the concept art...
  21. Looks awesome! I wish some parks over here would look into the mini-hypers more. Not sure why, but I could see one of these at Knoebels.
  22. Them naughty flapper girls could've kept you entertained! I don't even remember what went on during this part... and that's sad considering I rode it less than a year ago.
  23. Update Year 49 Year 49 is still underway but the construction is really picking up! The old giftshop is coming down! The base of the ride isn't too big. Can't even tell there's been a premier here! There's been alot of talk lately that says Surf might be on its way out. I think the talk is being fueled by Intamin and Hawaii's recently rekindled relationship with the announcement of Leopard. Most are saying that they'll be unveiling the world's tallest impulse coaster. I'd be surprised if they did. Surf is too popular of a ride, especially with that "family" age range. I returned to the park later last night... Surprisingly, the park was somewhat empty. The ferris wheel was closed as they were working on some of the lighting on the ride. The old skyway station will become seating for the new Hotel Hellvetica eatery. More soon.
  24. ^ Great photos. What all was there in Spongebob's spot before Nick came in? I heard it was Mystery Mine something but what exactly was it? I wonder what they'll do for expansion in the future...
