Thanks for all the responses! Update Year 49 HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERYBODY!! The park was busy today since the week will be somewhat shorter with the park closing for the Hotel Hellvetica premier. The new boat ride has been mildly successful. Yo quiero Taco Bell! FlyUira was voted "Best New Ride" of the past year. Even though it opened the year before... Egg turn! It's a busy place. Walk of the 50! 50! The new logo is all over the park. Storm looks great at night. HHE looks great at dusk. More soon.

2008 has been great so far for me! (better than '07!) HAPPY NEW YEARS!

Update Year 49 Announcement They really pushed this announcement to the last minute! The park is already open for the 49th season! Storm - They really squeezed it in here. It might not be the biggest or baddest, but its a great family-oriented attraction. The rock wall took me by surprise - wasn't expecting it at all. You brush over a small hill and then it's right there in your face. The final helix is intense, especially in these trains. The park will close early on Friday for the premier of the Hotel Hellvetica and I've been invited! I hear it's gonna be good... but what it has to with Hawaii I have the slightest idea. Someone's making some money, that's for sure. The park finally filled in Peregrine's old "drop" hole. It was about time. Storm is almost like a sister coaster to Surf. (they have similar taglines: Ride the Wave/Ride the Coast) Tantalus has become a classic in the park. I was waiting in line while I heard a parent say to their child, "I rode this when I was a kid!" Makes me realize how old I am! The volcano has gotten a new 50-year logo. Postcard shot! More soon.

Yeah and last time I went by the park it was one of the few rides still standing. I guess there's hope someone could still pick it up.

Ah it's alright, now I just gotta go from channel 34 to 35.

Libertyland had everything going for it but the management became corrupt and began to have a different venue in mind - the Mid South Fair... and it was all down hill from there. I was surprised as they listed Zippin Pippin going at just over 20 mph? That doesn't seem right to me, most places list it at going at least 40 mph.

Great trip report, they're really hauling some dirt for that connector!! I hope they do something to the back of Mystery Mine because it'll be strange to see a huge brown wall while you're on River Battle. Mystery Mine is a skinny ride. /random

Thanks for uploading these Libertyland shots! I had never seen most of them. Brings back alot of memories from the park in the 90's...

Update Pre-Year 49 The park has released a promo shot for the newly-improved "entrance walk." Looks like its going to be a great three years! More soon.

Looks like a cool park, but the end was a bit creepy with the abandoned entrance plaza, haha. Great trip report.

Rockbottom Plunge is gonna be an awesome ride!! I like parks that are all crammed in together, so it's always interesting to see how they fit it all in. Does anybody know if Timberland Twister will be repainted? Two orange coasters might be a bit confusing, but then again, Nickelodeon is orange!

Update Year 48 Preparations are being made for the Year 49 addition! They're using one of the last big chunks of land they've got. This whole area could look very different come next year. I'm not so sure where else a large addition could go... I belive the boardwalk is now packed. I guess they could try to squeez in a small attraction near the parking garage, but it would be difficult to get to. Especially with this above you! FlyUira has almost become a family-oriented attraction. With its modest height and speed, I'm surprised the park didn't go that route with marketing. Even the egg turn near the waterfall isn't too intense. I wish more parks would go that route, makes the rides easier to re-ride. The waterpark has been doing great business. I'm surprised they haven't added one new attraction since its opening. However, they don't have too much room to expand upon. More soon.

Great video as always. There's been so much content over the past year I didn't notice the hiatus. Good to have new ones again.

^ I believe the addition of Panda Express, (the detail aspect of it), shows that Cedar Fair still has that family quality in them afterall. When your up against Disneyland, I guess they see the coasters as the way to go.

Here's my miniature dachshund, Heidi: Here's the story. Last year she went into ALL of the presents and drug HERS out. There was no marking, no way she could have known it was her's. This year she did the same thing about five minutes ago! She skipped over her sister's present and got her own! Here's the pics: My bro holding the suspect. It's not what it looks like. Then she starts tearing into it! Use that nose. If you moved towards her this was the look you would have gotten. What is it!?!?! Little sister's not happy.

Panda Express looks really nice. I can't wait to see track so I'll know what color it's gonna be.

The fire chief believes the fire that caused the explosion was due to faulty wiring. Most of the remaining guests were still inside the hotel when the explosion occured.
