^ Haha! That was supposed to go in here... Update Year 47 Announcement The ride will feature a straight dive rather than a twisting one. The ride's turnaround will serve as a great photospot. With altered colors, it's better to get an idea of the narrow layout. The park had to design the ride to fit into Oronga's old spot. Construction so far. More soon. There will most likely be one more Year 46 update since the season hasn't even ended yet!

Great trip report. Glad the rides were open, because while Fire-in-the-Hole is an awesome ride, I'm not sure its worth a whole day.

Update Year 46 THIS WILL BE THE LAST 'CURRENT' UPDATE UNTIL FRIDAY WHEN THE YEAR 47 RIDE IS ANNOUNCED! Look for some "retro" updates in between now and then. The hotel is looking great this morning, one of the last mornings of the season! The waterpark wasn't too crowded today for some reason. Sadly, Solar Flare is beginning to show signs of aging... The launch is getting rough but its nothing unbearable. Ridership has somewhat decreased. But it's still a decent ride. The trees are really growing up around the park. Mine Mountain: Excavation's name might be shortened to just Excavation since many of the guests are upset at how little the ride resembles the original mine mountain. I couldn't care less either way. Zhambi Sidewinder... with only one guest riding. More soon. BREAKING UPDATE: Dark blue/purple B&M track has been spotted. I repeat, B&M TRACK HAS BEEN SPOTTED.

That last shot should be the official postcard for the park! Great update.

Update Year 46 Yo quiero Taco Bell! Here's the view from the other side. I spoke with the worker in the Hershey store at the end and he said that the park is planning on redoing this side of the boardwalk sometime next season. I see something in the sky! The ferris wheel adds a nice backdrop for the boardwalk. It's a long one! I wonder what will replace the skyride when it closes this year? I won't miss the ride, with it's grey supports... Baja Blast is now the tallest (and the fastest) at the park. In other news, there isn't much going on. But there's talk that next year we'll see something "unique" to the park. I don't know what it's gonna be, but it's supposed to be a coaster. More soon.

While on the VAULT Icee subject... Are they low on calories or something? I've never had a vault before but I like almost any Icee flavor so I'll have to see if my Target has them.

AH this place is gonna be awesome! I'm surprised it's taken this long for a spongebob-themed ride. I hope they repaint Timberline Twister though so there's not two orange coasters.

^ I believe they are... What "geaugalakeinexile" said says alot. 119 years of business... 119. I know Seaworld helped but they weren't there all along. I understand that it's a business decision, but it seems that we're so obsessed with preserving our history, I wish the parks could have a share of that as well.

Update Year 46 Welcome to the park's 46th season! I see something new in the skyline! Welcome to Grande Bay Boardwalk! First stop on the boardwalk - Taco Bell! Grande Gifts is also now open. The entrance to Baja Blast. Across the water, the anticipation builds. Folks, that's a long way up. They've really expanded upon the tiny island that was once here. Just checked Six Flags Great Adventure, Six Flags Great America, and Six Flags Fiesta Texas and all showed up in Google Earth. Sounds weird, though. I was looking under layers to see if maybe it was some odd layer that was causing the issue but I couldn't find one.

Update Year 46 Announcement BOARDWALK TO BE GRANDE SIZED NEXT SEASON AT HERSHEY'S HAWAIIAN ESCAPE. Taco Bell will be the first thing guests see as they enter the new boardwalk from the Zhambi side. Baja Blast will be the centerpiece of the new addition drawing guests in with its sheer size. A view of the Grande Bay Boardwalk from the opposite end near Kaena Point Falls

Great update, any themepark with boobs is a good themepark in my eyes. Blue Fall helps, too.

Just curious, (this is for anybody), when did the park begin to decline, in your opinion? Update Year 45 THE YEAR 46 ADDITION WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON FRIDAY! The Year 46 season is well underway and the park has already begun making preparations for Year 46, which is said to be a big year for the park. Whatever it is, I think it has something to do with the boardwalk area. The park will be shutting down the boardwalk for the rest of the season tomorrow. Some construction walls have already gone up. Looks like something will be going up in the middle of Bay Lake. Delusion is still holding up well, the lines haven't been too long because guests still are having a hard time getting all the way to the back of the park. The park's really got a unique skyline now. More soon. Happy Thanksgiving to all of those who are celebrating tomorrow! I'll see everybody on Friday for the massive announcement for Year 46. Alot of people are gonna be pleased.

I'm with you on Thanksgiving. I can actually lose a pound or two because I don't eat that much since I hate half of the stuff we have. I wish I could have McDonald's instead, haha, but I guess that's not traditional enough... Great job on the weight lost.

Update Year 45 Delusion soars high in the sky. Yes this would be the 140 foot peak. A new food stand accompanied the addition. Two in one shot. It's a grand view across the bay now! Nothing but air... How close do they really come??? If only it could block the blinding sun... Standard view right here. This small piece of land makes the park seem more spacious... they should keep it. Wish upon a giant rotating steel star... More soon.

Update Year 45 Delusion is completing its testing today! The ride will hopefully draw more people back to The Great Outdoors area of the park. The ride comes pretty close to MM:E! It takes up alot of space, but now its in a better spot so it's no longer a waste of space. It's gonna hold alot of people! The other rides in the park are gearing up for another big season! Will anything ever replace Oronga's old spot? The entrance plaza is looking great as usual. I've almost forgotten my favorite invert once stood here. Hershey Grove is also looking good. Mine Mountain: Excavation soars over The Great Outdoors area of the park. But the ride did shut down for the first time today, the crowd doesn't look too happy. More soon.
