  1. I'd love to see someone at Disney with 24 kids on those kid backpack leashes. The most I've seen is 7. Yes, one guy with 7 kids on leashes like they were poodles. Hell, they could just hitch the little buggers up to a wagon like a team of mules.
  2. Gentlemen, Enough. Let's keep this thread from devolving into a gripefest about which park has the "most negative fans," OK? As for me, I've had two good visits, and one bad visit, to SFA over the years. Maybe I'll fianlly amble up there again this season to see how things are going.
  3. I sort of agree with this, but I've always thought that Silver Bullet was "too much coaster" for Knott's when it comes to its location in the park, anyway--at least Ghostrider fits the theming of Ghost Town better.
  4. ^Yep--Disney has been milking their characters for a lot longer than Universal, but they've also done a better job of marketing their characters to the public. Whether you like Harry Potter or not, I think the franchise has legs and will stay "relevant" for quite some time. Just because the movies are finished doesn't mean that the fanchise is "dead."
  5. ^^No beads for Minnie? I guess she wouldn't show'em for Mickey.
  6. You might want to try searching first: http://themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=26127#p26127. There's aready a thread devoted to this topic. I recommend reviewing this old thread, then coming up with more-specific questions to ask. I've locked your topic for now.
  7. This is no guarantee that they haven't made a mistake. That being said, I wish them well on their new endeavor, and have no desire to see them fail.
  8. Even though I'm not a Transformers fan, I'm gald to hear that the ride is great and look forward to riding it myself someday. Maybe it'll make me a fan--who knows? The Singapore Mummy definitely sounds like an improvement to an already great ride.
  9. ^I think that was a wise choice. Florida's Mummy is a great ride, but the whole "Brendan Frasier's cup of coffee" ending never made any sense to me.
  10. I was going to guess Firebaugh, California, but I've yet to see a picture of that city's iconic water tower. The trademark of Firebaugh
  11. ^Straight down, because it looks like your plane was shot down with a missile!
  12. Yet another clue! The game's afoot! Wow, we are STILL on this plane??? Must be a long flight! Or two... Or maybe three???
  13. The talking e-Trade babies are the best argument for contraception that I can think of--not "cute," just creepy.
  14. Notice how much easier this is to read it when you use proper spelling, punctuation, and capitalization. Please note that TPR's Terms of Service require members to write in proper English (although we do give some slack to members in non-English-speaking countries). Occasional typos are OK (we all make those), but consistent misuse of the language is frowned upon. Thank you for showing your work, though.
  15. The theming on that tower-and-slide complex looks pretty good for Mt. Olympus.
  16. I've never been a fan of the Transformers, being as the toys were a little after my time and I never bothered with the movies. However, I do think the new ride looks great, and I'm looking forward to checking it out.
  17. Come to think of it, I've never been in IOA after dark, either--thanks for a look at it. Is it wrong of me to say that the new mini-golf course is what I'm looking forward to the most at Universal?
  18. I agree with your views and would like to subscribe to your newsletter. Looks like a great, if somewhat eccentric, park.
  19. ^What's Illeana ("She's usually worse") Douglas up to these days? The park could bring her in for the pre-show. I'm very curious to see how different the trains really are.
  20. Verbolten is looking better and better. It's good to see the park trying something different (as Tampa did with Cheetah Hunt). And with the differently themed "cars," it looks like I wasn't far off here.
  21. Thanks for the report, Adam. Disney may have come up with a good answer to Harry Potter here. I wonder if Animal Kingdom and the Studios have any sort of "Sorcerors/Kim Possible" game in their future?
  22. You know, I don't go out to the movies as often as I used to, but even I'm sick of the trailer for the re-release of Titanic in 3D. This should be their tagline: "Watch them all die again--this time, in your lap!" I mean no offense to anyone here, but I think Cameron's Titanic is the most overrated movie of all time.
  23. I think dealing with the history of UK roller coasters would be more interesting, but you could easily do a half-hour on Blackpool alone. So, maybe this is the question you need to answer: "Which topic can I do properly in just 30 minutes?"
  24. That's "MISTER Backund." He might just "procure" his crossface chicken wing on you for that!
  25. ^Well, part of the theming does involve a rental-car company--maybe you can get an optional upgrade to a Taurus, or something.
