  1. Excellent work on the station and entry plaza--Parc Asterix has themed this ride well.
  2. ^Yes, that can be rather exhausting.
  3. I think a marriage on Manhattan Express would be grounds for divorce. This video can't be of Fuji Q--there were two cars on the course in one shot!
  4. ^Translating it would be of no use.
  5. DisneySea is the best theme park in the world. I've said it, and I stand by it. It is the one park that not only lives up to its concept art, but surpasses it. Is it time to go back to Japan yet?
  6. I'm more enthusiastic about X-Flight after riding Wild Eagle at Dollywood last weekend--very good ride.
  7. It doesn't look as painfully insane as Eejanaika at Fuji Q, at least. ^I thought that was a bit odd, too.
  8. ^The old Lethal Weapon theming in the queue was fairly elaborate, although I think it makes sense to go with a Batman motif for this ride (being as they already have Superman and Green Lantern coasters). I'm glad to hear that the new trains are an improvement.
  9. I think the Q-Bot makes more sense for guests and for the park--keeps the Express entrance from getting slammed and slowing it and the regular queue down even more.
  10. The "patient processing" desk and the cop hanging from the ceiling are nice touches. Most of the theming looks like appliques they just plastered to the walls.
  11. So far, so good. Looking forward to riding Verbolten next month. Unless this is just a cruel April Fool's joke.
  12. ^A movie about a giant, killer anaconda slithering around on the WDW monorail track would, indeed, be awesome.
  13. I'm sure everyone will want the contact info for your hotel, and your unlicensed taxi driver. This has been one of the more interesting TRs I've seen here.
  14. I, too, am intrigued by this attraction. It's pretty audacious to rip off a Disney concept and include bats, a mummy, and a dinosaur.
  15. I confirm Larry's skill and stubborn determination when it comes to Skee Ball. I'm a fan of the Morgan Hypers, even though they are like "mine trains on steroids." But my favorite attractions at Spaland were the Bob Karts and the haunted walkthrough.
  16. ^They said during the Hard Hat Tour earlier this month that they had been testing it successfully. I was at the park for a short time last weekend, and there were water-filled dummies on some of the trains.
  17. ^Maybe you pass out while watching a documentary about ancient Egypt in your hotel room, have a nightmare, walk in your sleep, then step into an elevator shaft? Or maybe they just took a random 3D flick and put it on a drop ride? (I love the random dinosaur.)
  18. So, they put a pair of large Frog Hoppers in a building with a 3D movie projector?
  19. Hi, I'm Chuck Campbell, and I'll be Coasting for Kids at Kings Dominion. You might be wondering why. I've been living in Virginia since the mid-1980s, but I grew up in Patterson, California--a small town in the Central Valley. I was lucky enough to have parents who enjoyed visiting Disneyland, Knott's, and Universal as much as their kids. So, every other year or so, we'd make the pilgrimmage south down I-5 to enjoy a few days at the Magic Kingdom. I have fond memories of opening and closing the park on summer days and nights--back when Disneyland was regularly open until midnight or 1:00 am! Yes, I was very fortunate growing up--and to be able to travel the world to visit parks with Theme Park Review and all the great friends I've made here. This is why I find the mission of Give Kids the World so inspiring. It's the perfect chance to help others who are less fortunate share some of the good fortune I enjoyed (and still enjoy) as a kid. GKTW has never turned down a child in need--and never will. But fulfilling their mission, and even improving on it, needs all our support. So, please donate! It doesn't matter how much. Help Give Kids the World make sure that seriously ill children and their families have a chance to take the vacation they've always dreamed of. Thank you. My donations page: https://www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/chuckcampbell/KingsDominion Yes, donate to Give Kids the World! Snoopy and Charlie Brown want you to!
  20. Let's see--a theme park about Spain in the highlands of Japan. Well, why not? Parque Espana is a great park.
  21. ^Yeah, I don't think Potter's "staying power" in much in question, whether you love or hate the series. (Hell, Lord of the Rings has been around a lot longer, and it wasn't even a big hit when the books were first published.)
  22. My pet peeve is large groups who stop in the middle of a path to check a map, look at a cell-phone picture, etc. If you need to figure out where you're going, just step off to the side and let those who know where they're going pass through.
  23. I like how the commercial is in classic "anime" style, rather than CGI or Disney-style animation.
