Looks like there was some very interesting stuff at the show this year, and I haven't even had a chance to watch all the videos. Thanks for the great coverage! -

So, you think they did what ever it was you're trying to say? And to answer someone else's question, no, you can't see the yellow track unless all the lights are on. These other "yellow" spots you're seeing could merely be reflections of the work lights on the track. -

I'm always pleased to see ride manufacturers trying something new--pushing the boundaries a bit. "Gimmick"? Maybe, but time will tell. -

I enjoyed the story about GCI unearthing an entire truck and a "big ball of rebar" when they were preparing the site for Thunderhead at Dollywood. I think an evil object dug up by a coaster company is a natural subject for a SyFy movie. -

I tend to prefer the "twisty" Intamin launched coasters to "Kingda Ka" types, too. Heide has a great assortment of coasters, and the Krake walk-through sounds like fun. -

Hmm . . . this reminds me of how they handled stuck coasters at small parks in China while TPR was there this year--only it would be just two park staff, at most, with a bamboo pole as a tool. -

That's exactly right. TGG designs the ride. MVR makes it a physical reality. Not all TGG rides are built by MVR, though. Thanks for clearing this up--I'd wondered about who did what, too. -

Well, PT Barnum said, "There's a sucker born every minute." Maybe Huss figures they'll get lucky. -

That's the thing. I was looking forward to this rode during the 2012 TPR Mid-America Trip, but it turned out to be a rather bone-jarring, painful disappointment. (Perhaps it's too big for its own good.) I agree that the potential is there for something great, but I think the ride will need plenty of TLC to keep it running well after this big overhaul. Is Mt. Olympus up to it? I guess we'll know in a year or two. -

That simulator model is rather intriguing. It looks like it might be more versatile than the older, "Star Tours" like system. -

There's definitely been some interesting announcements (for example, inversion for Hades), along with some amusing drama (Zamperla v. Golden Horse). -
Even though I had a great time with TPR in China, I was very much tempted to go on this trip. The Italian parks look very intriguing (and, in some cases, just plain messed up).

Interesting that they had a sign for "intellectual property complaints" ready to go. -
Watched The Amazing Spider-Man last night. On the plus side, I think Andrew Garfield was a better choice for the lead than Tobey McGuire was in the Sam Raimi flicks, and the web-slinging sequences looked more realistic and less cartoony. On the negative side, the Lizard wasn't one of Spidey's more interresting foes, and he did look a bit cartoony.

^Eh, not really. It's more of a nicely themed queue for a coaster in a box. (The old pre-show was fun, though.) I guess what I mean is that I'd like to see them take this concept up a notch past Flight of Fear.
