  1. I haven't been to the UK since 2006, but my favorite coaster there was Alton Tower's Nemesis--a great, old-school B&M with excellent theming. Steeplechase at Blackpool was my second favorite.
  2. ^Well, there's no such thing as a "bad" seat on Phoenix.
  3. ^Another excellent choice--much better than the old dark ride it replaced.
  4. There there is the question of the "magic seat" on Phoenix, which I think is the second seat from the very front.
  5. Even though I never had the chance to ride it, I'm going to say the Rocket Rods at Disneyland. This sounded like a great idea at the time--a high-speed trip through Tomorrorland; then budget cuts and technical issues slapped Disney in the face. Now they're left with an ugly track and no Peoplemover. They did reprofile Drachen Fire, but too late--the damage was already done.
  6. St. Bernardus Christmas Ale This stuff and Hardywood Gingerbread Stout are the best Christmas brews ever.
  7. How about this one at Splitsville? My arteries are slamming shut, and I'm just looking at it.
  8. When I was there last Friday night, the line was barely out of the station; then again, the temp was 39 degrees F.
  9. Kinda feel like most everything you said right there was hearsay. Superman never got reprofiled, just new trains and started running backwards. When it first opened it was one of the most covered roller coasters in the world because 400 feet/100mph was unheard of back then. The issues started when SFMM got cheap and stopped running it at full speed. I'm still surprised that I305 doesn't have a longer wait time for KD, it's certainly not the MF homerun in terms of popularity but still a great ride. Although I'm not a fan of Kingda Ka, I disagree with this list. I305 does, indeed, intimidate many people, but it was still sporting some long lines during Haunt this year.
  10. I agree with this (for the most part). I have no idea what was going on in Space Fantasy, but I really enjoyed it. Thunder Dolphin is just "meh," but offers great views and looks cool. Powder Keg is very underrated.
  11. "Amazing Hot Dogs" was one of the funniest photos I've ever seen on TPR.
  12. ^This was the first time I'd encountered a parking garage using this system. Seemed to work quite well.
  13. Just got around to watching Inside Out, and I liked it quite a bit--Pixar's best flick since Up.
  14. I imagine there are three reasons for this: Harry Potter, Harry Potter, and Harry Potter.
  15. Ended up seeing it with some friends over Thanksgiving. I agree with your assessment.
  16. ^Excellent choice. C: Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter
  17. ^I like having the decorations up for the whole month, as they really brighten up the house in the evening; however, Christmas lights after January 1 just look sad to me.
  18. ^Very nice idea. This is a pretty cool tree, too.
  19. Thunderbolt--Luna Park (Coney Island)
  20. Go figure.
  21. ^I think Disney Springs is coming along very well. I was even rather impressed by the new parking garage, which has sensors to tell you if there are any open spaces in a row. Morimoto's was excellent, too.
