Legoland Florida Discussion Thread

Oh, yeah.... shame on Merlin. Seriously...these pictures make the park look the BEST I've seen it in 20 years....and you're bitching about a pond? Be grateful they kept the gardens. Be grateful the park is open at all. It could be a Wal-Mart. Exactly. I'm just happy the whole place wasn't leveled for another failed strip mall which are overtaking the area. And it is actually built on a REAL lake and lakes sometimes have algae blooms and not so "pretty" water. While it may not be Disney perfect, it is perfectly normal. -

I completely forgot about the boomerang ride op at Great Escape. At least it was comic relief for what was yet ANOTHER boomerang on the trip. -

Today I learned that Jenn lives in the Mansion across the lake at Legoland. I wish! But it is only about 10 minutes away from my house. I know the park well. Hell, I was even a Southern Belle for a day when I was younger! Filmed a tourism commercial for Japan that day, that was interesting. -

Wow....the park looks great! Thanks for the update. I'm actually really looking forward to the opening, especially since it's in my backyard! -
This may be one of my favorite stops on the trip when I consider the night before at Uno and the hotel (with the drinking and video show) and the day in the park. There was so much I enjoyed about this day at Great Escape. Comet was a fun little wake up that morning, the park itself was a pleasant surprise, the pictures of Piers looking like he wants to vomit on Comet still make me laugh, they had a S&S tower themed to Sasquatch, which Steve and I are, and the horribly bad skycoaster which hurt like hell for me....the day was just perfect. Oh, and they had a cat with a fish on the carousel! Fun way to end the trip with some of my new favorite people.....Kim, Neil, Phillip and Ian!

Night ride on Cheetah Hunt a couple of weeks ago. Was hoping to be on one in NJ tonight, but alas Irene kept me in Florida. -
With the hair piece that someone was 77", without they were the lucky 76". Obvious choice was leave the hair in the queue. You should have done the same. And I would say the inconsistencies in the height policy really were the mind boggling part of that whole Bizarro experience, which really was a nightmare.

I would be ecstatic if I saw SheiKra operating that fast. It may have in the past, but I haven't seen anything close to that in my many visits over the last year. I can't say much about recent operations at BGW, but the limited times I've been the Griffon crew was on top of their game. I hate to hear that may not be the case recently.
