  1. I know all of these, except those last 2 from dubaidave! However, I had heard of Thunder Mountain from a former "friend" who visited that region. He massively exaggerated it, though. Edit: Okay, so here's my submission: http://www.rcdb.com/id1259.htm They don't even have pictures of it at the RCDB! It's an Ultratwister with a twist and dive replacing the transfer tracks! Edit 2: I may not be the biggest credit whore, but I probably am the biggest coaster geek. Look what I found: http://drkssk.fc2web.com/zekkyou/rusutsu/ultra/ul.html It's pictures of the aforementioned ultratwister! They were a real pain to find!
  2. Scorpion at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. I went over to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay right around closing, and headed straight for Timbuktu. The park was crowded, and I knew that was my best shot of getting in coasters. So, I was able to get Scorpion three times, and Cheetah Chase once. I was hoping to get 2 on Cheetah Chase, but the line closed right as I got to it . I should have ran. Whatever. On Scorpion I got on the last seat twice, the first seat once, and the middle () once. All were amazing though. Scorpion was actually running more forceful than I remember today. I'm guessing it was the heat, and the large amount of riders. In every seat I got thrown around a lot by the forces, but the car protected me (most of the time). However, I still got hit a few times by the ride and theming. I was able to miss it the first ride, but every ride after hit me, and always in a different spot. I'm definitely getting too big to ride this thing. Not only am I getting hit, but the lapbar can't make it over the stomach! Whoops. I think that means I can't ride Intamin rides . Meanies. I can still ride Schwarzkopf rides though!
  3. Although I actually DO agree with this. Look at how successful the Paramount kids areas have been based on all the current cartoons. I don't think kids really look as much forward to "Bugs Bunny Land" when they go to a park as much as they all seem to LOVE the Spongebob ride and 3D movie! --Robb You want them to get rid of Bugs Bunney?!?!
  4. Yeah, that's bad too. Actually, it's all bad! Sell off land instead of devoloping it, bringing in fast food, getting rid of the liscences, etc. I think, really, this is going to make Six Flags worse of a company! He just wants to take Six Flags even more in the wrong direction!
  5. He wants to get rid of Looney Toons? What?
  6. A Dragon Wagon? Hmm, well, at least they got the best model! If I were starting a park with a kiddie coaster, though, I'd at least go for a Rollerskater, or one of those "Instant ACE Classic" kiddie woodies, maybe even a custom one. A Dragon Wagon just makes it seem like they aren't trying! It is slightly better than a Wacky Worm, however.
  7. That's kind of sad. Somebody should rebuild The Beach Coaster! If only I had a few million...
  8. I use a Mac but I don't have this... :? Hmm... weird. It's always been there for me...
  9. "DUME" by Adult, from "DUME".
  10. "Transatlanticism" by Death Cab For Cutie, from "Transatlanticism".
  11. Shiekra isn't made up. It's even on Wikipedia, with a picture (here)! Anyways. The layout picture is sort of wierd, and so I'm waiting for a clearer picture, or more construction, to make up my mind. Although, all of these rockets looks good (except the top-hat and bunny-hill only ones.) As for the name, well, most rollecoasters have awful names! Speed Monster just seems to be a false statement, considering that it's actually pretty average speed for a large steel coaster (100kmph, or about 62mph).
  12. My favourite work of art is "The guitar lesson" by Balthus. I love it because it's shocking. Too shocking to post here, most likely. My favourite artist is Odilon Redon. All of the attached images are his, and in the collection of MOMA. The window. The windmill. The trees. The teeth. The masque of red death. The fight of the centaurs. The fairy. The eye, like a strange balloon, mounts towards infinity. The eye flower. The accused. Silence. Christ.
  13. Here are all the major themeparks 2 hours or less away from me, according to Mapquest: Busch Gardens is 5 minutes. Cypress Gardens is 1 hour, 12 minutes. Sea World is 1 hour, 12 minutes. Walt Disney World Resort is 1 hour, 12 minutes. Universal Studios is 1 hour, 17 minutes. These times are Map Quest's, and aren't very accurate...
  14. That was awesome, although I sort of wished Oscar did more of it, instead of those "other" stuffed toys. Although, Pal Mickey did get my favourite caption: "Pal Mickey does Mickey."
  15. "Rainbow's end", by Modern English. They're the band responsible for "I melt with you", and lots of amazing songs people have never heard of. This is not one of them!
  16. Thanks! I know it's a long drive, but I enjoy long drives, and there's so little there we can easily drive both ways, and do everything at the park, in a day, so it's not a problem.
  17. Temple Terrace / Busch Gardens area.
  18. With a wooden rollercoaster you have to go through the ride and check every bolt, beam, etc, every day, replacing them as nessecary. Without a catwalk all the way around the course it would be a complete pain, and without handrails it would be dangerous.
  19. That depends. Most Diet soda is the same as the regular soda, without the sugar, and I prefer the normal. The exception is Diet Coke which is actually Diet New Coke, or, in other words, New Coke, without the sugar. In that case, I love both equally, because you can't really get New Coke any other way, and both Classic and New Coke are awesome, equally.
  20. Actually, the names Frank Zappa gave to his children fit their personalities pretty much perfectly, even though they seem odd. Maybe that will happen here, too, and maybe the parents really do know best. Or not.
  21. Either Dueling Dragons, or Gwazi, or both. Both: I'm cranky, conflicted, twisted, messed up, awesome (imo), and live in Florida. Dueling Dragons: I'm both quite cool (again, imo), and fiery, and I'm a dragon in the Chinese zodiac. Gwazi: I get meanier every day, am poorely maintained, and I'm a lion in the Greek zodiac.
  22. Macintosh people don't need a toolbar (although, it is available!). All you have to do, in any program, is click on "Edit" in the toolbar, and then "Spelling". It even has different languages, and dialects. Of course, I never use it, although I probably need to. Oh, and I just spell-checked this post, and found no errors.
  23. The videos, and, trip reports, and, um, that's it, frankly. It's why I came here, and why I eventually registered, and why I stick around. I still need to order those DVDs, though...
  24. I think Apple is a nice name! Kal-el, though, is a bit much...
  25. I need help! I have 3 sets of directions! 1 takes me down the state, then across. 2 takes me across the state, then down. 3 takes me down-across the state at the same time. Which is better? Have any opinions?
