  1. ^^ I rode Manhatten Express, or Roller Coaster, the first time I went to Vegas. I'm glad I rode it only because it is my only Togo credit so far. And, I knew what I was getting into. I braced myself and actually had an ok ride, not worth dishing out the cash for a re-ride though. Get the credit then head to Circus Circus and Stratosphere.
  2. I remember riding this when it was nightmare at phantom cave at Darien Lake. It was a fun ride. Six Flags removed it and put a Batman show in the building. When Six flags sold the park and Parc started managing Darien Lake the building was turned into the Galaxy Theatre. Home to a circus show and later, sea lion splash...
  3. Unfortunately, the mass media is infamous for broadcasting stories filled with scandal and fear. Forget the facts, remember the ratings. When this is all said and done, I believe that there will be a more negative view on nuclear power... At least in America where nuclear power isn't widely used. Also, I believe that a lot of people are ignorant when it comes to nuclear power. When news broke about the hydrogen explosion, some friends of mine believed that there was a nuclear explosion. I explained that a reactor isn't like an atom bomb. I'm sure there are many more as confused about nuclear power as my friends are.
  4. My five would be... Intimidator 305 El Toro Tornado (Särkänniemi Amusement Park) Maverick Stormrunner I would name this park "Intamin setting."
  5. Predator gets my vote. Although the trains from Voyage helped, predator is still a chiropractic's dream. I swear every time I ride that thing I want to get re-adjusted. In fact, Darien Lake could make some serious cash if they replaced the slushie station with a spinal adjustment booth. Anyway, some topper track or a match could seriously help that ride.
  6. All I have to say is, bummer. Speed was the best coaster in LV. Although I only got one ride in 2009, I remember really enjoying it. I do remember the 15 min launch increments though. I stayed at the Stratosphere and would just watch the strip from our hit room. Anyway, just wish I would have ridden it twice.
  7. Love the trains, another example of how much detail BGT puts into their projects. This coaster is going to be a complete experience. It is a beautiful work of art. Hopefully in a few years when I'm done with college and have some extra cash I can take a trip to BGT. Until then, I will roam TPR and dream.
  8. The suports are one of the coolest things about this coaster, so beautiful to look at. Awesome photo update by the way. The ride looks like it is coming along very nicely.
  9. I actually havn't kept tabs on this project for a couple weeks. But I'm so excited to see trains on the track. And those trains are looking pretty good, never thought camo could look so good.
  10. Chat is working well for me. Only took a couple seconds to log into chat. Like Fire2box, I'm getting that TPRbot socket error, but other than that everything is good in the neighborhood.
  11. After winning a big blue ball at the Santa Claw I decided to try my luck on the claw game outside of the supermarket I work at. Nobody usually wins at this machine but I must be on a roll or something. I scored myself a cheap toy motorcycle. It was awesome. I'm going to try to get back in line tomorrow. Can't wait 'til my big blue ball comes in to keep my toy motorcycle company.
  12. I'm cautiously optimistic about this. Darien Lake is my home park and I would love to see it brought back to its former glory. Then again, compared to the years of Six Flags management, I didn't think that PARC was doing a bad job. To me the park was just... meh. Anyway, I wonder what changes, if any, we'll see this season.
  13. Just scored a big purple ball, too bad they only send you one. It would be good company for my blue ball.
  14. Just got back in line as DougMJr, two behind "Robbisacriminal." Hopefully I can wake up for my turn.
  15. I just won a GIANT blue ball! It's kinda sad how excited I am about this. I can't wait for 2-3 weeks!
  16. I doubt we're going to hear anything from Knoebels about Flying Turns until they are ready to open it. Part of me really wants to know more about the status of the project. Hopefully we'll get a little belated present and see it open this season.
  17. After a week hiatus, I'm finally back in line as duggl.us. 6hrs 38min to go!
  18. Having ridden Motocoaster at Darien Lake, I'm glad they are getting Steeplechase. It's a good family ride with a kick at the beginning.
  19. ^That train is looking pretty awesome. Sometimes I'm more excited looking at refurb's than looking at a new project.
  20. Martin's Fantasy Island, FUN... WOW!
  21. So excited for this! Unfortunately I wasn't able to make it to Fantasy Island last summer, but there is no way I'll be able to stay away from this. I'm going to be thinking hard for a name that fits this... besides ZomgCrazyScreamMonster PhD.
  22. I agree, these trains would look awesome on Rev. oooh aaaah
  23. ^ I think the logo is good, but a tagline contest could be fun.
  24. ^Yeah, I think the Tagline could be better... maybe Robb could create a tagline thread?
