  1. ^ Glad to hear you are enjoying the Wii U. I have yet to play one, but tomorrow Little Big Planet 2 is releasing an addon for Vita and ps3 cross controller. You can use your Vita to control the game on your ps3. Looks very similar to how games are being played on the Wii U.
  2. Pleasant Maverick: When Maverick first opened I remember reading reviews that it wasn't intense and a good family coaster. I was very surprised that was not the case when I rode it opening year. I still consider this my #1 coaster. Comet at Hershey: I almost skipped this ride, but glad I didn't. Very fun and chaotic ride in the back. Great airtime with only the buzz bars. Hydra and Talon at Dorney: I wasn't expecting much from these rides because of the reviews I have read. But I really enjoyed them. They are very fun rides and can't wait to go back to Dorney. I guess you can say Dorney was a pleasant surprise as well. Demon Drop: I always heard this ride was rough and hurts when you go on your back. But the free fall feeling mixing with the sensation of turning on to your back was very unique. Quickly became my favorite flat at Cedar Point. If only Dorney was a bit closer. Unpleasant Vortex and Anaconda: I'll be happy to never ride them again. Wildcat at Hershey: I was really looking forward to riding this. I don't mind getting slammed around or some jack hammering on wooden coasters. But this one had very intense vibrations around some of the bends. This was the first coaster that gave me a headache during the ride.
  3. I don't think I could survive 2 weeks at parks plus bus rides. Usually 3 days in a row at a park and I'm ready to relax for a few days
  4. Doubt I'll ever make it on a TPR trip, but really want to attend one of the TPR bash events.
  5. At the time I was upset when Kennywood announced the removal of the Steel Phantom. Just the thoughts of riding it now make me cringe, same with Drachen Fire. But my favorite ones would either be Big Bad Wolf, Wild Cat, or Disaster Transport. I enjoyed all three and was sad to see them go.
  6. 2010 - 16 2011 - 0 2012 - 16 Only been on 80 coasters, hopefully hit 100 next year.
  7. When the lap bar doesn't put your thighs into a death grip, there is no discomfort during the ride. My first ride in the back the lap bar never got any tighter. My second ride in the middle the bar got tighter after the first drop and after the first turn. It was uncomfortable rest of the ride, but I didn't mind it. My friend found the second ride to painful and refused to ride it any more. This was before the modifications. I hope they can figure out how to prevent the lap bars from getting tighter. Is there any other coaster with a floorless type design that only has lap bars?
  8. I've done a few Early Entries in the Summer, and the lines for Millennium and Maverick can easily get to the 1/2 hour mark or longer within that hour. Always felt bad when the park opens to the public and people run all the way from the front to Maverick, only to be greeted by a nearly full queue
  9. I rode the back on Fahrenheit last Saturday and it had a pretty bad rattle. Waiting in line you could hear the rattle on the turn before the airtime hill. Even hear it in the people's voice when they were screaming/yelling around that bend.
  10. On Saturday both trains were running on SDL when I rode. This was my first time riding it, but the sudden stop coming into the brake run was there as well.
  11. Space Spiral isn't leaving the park without a fight
  12. I made my first trip to Hershey on Saturday and had a great time. Got to ride all the coasters except for Sidewinder and the Wild Mouse. Average wait for the rides were about 30-40 minutes, minus the hour and 40 min wait for Fahrenheit. Rode Storm Runner, Skyrush, and Lightning Racer twice since those 3 were my favorite at the park. I won't go into to much detail about Skyrush since most of it has been covered. But if you want a more traditional coaster ride, sit in the middle seats. The winged seats really turn the ride into an out of control experience. I sat on the left wing seat for my last ride of the night, and it was a wild experience. It felt like my body was all over the seat trying not to fall out The mix of strong airtime followed by getting pulled down into a turn really felt like I was trying to get yanked out of the seat. The twisty airtime hill, my body kept wanting to go up, but the ride wanted me to get pulled down for the twist I don't remember reading anything about this, but there's a bump in the middle of the first hill. It's noticeable in the POV how the camera jerks. Guess it was intended to make you eject out of your seat even more?
  13. Hershey's website mentions minimum height of 54 inches, but no max height. With shoes I'm fairly close to 6'5, guess I'll see what happens on Sunday. Looking forward to my first visit to Hershey
  14. Skyrush, the first coaster to induce red outs Hopefully the 6'5 height limit will only be for the winged seats. I remember when Sky Rocket had a height limit of 6 feet just for the 4th row. Can't wait to start reading peoples experiences on this ride. Looks like a really fun coaster.
  15. Wildcat was a fun ride but would only ride it when there was no line. I'm not surprised they are removing it, but figured they would announce it near the end of the season so people can get one last ride in.
  16. I went to KD Friday and Saturday, and the Fast Lane was handled better then I was expecting. Dominator and i305 have the people merge into the station. Volcano the Fast Lane people were seated first, but they were denied the front seat when they tried. I can see complaints with Volcano if the line is full and Fast Lane users keep riding it. I'm not sure how the other rides were handled, but it seems like you can't get the front seat with the pass.
  17. I'll be going to KD this Friday and for a few hours on Saturday before heading back home. And will be going to Kennywood's opening day May 5th
  18. Started playing Uncharted 3 again to get the platinum trophy. Crushing difficulty wasn't bad, only had issues with the fights on the ship. Also picked up a ps vita spontaneously, and I'm loving it so far. Been playing Hot Shots Golf, Uncharted, and downloaded a few demos.
  19. I've been having a lot of fun with the new Twisted Metal. My only complaint is that you can't coop the story with someone online, just with split screen. Meatwagon and Outlaw are my two favorite vehicles so far.
  20. I've been playing Dead Space 2, Rayman Orgins, and got Demon Soul's for Christmas. I picked Dead Space 2 up when it was released beginning of the year, but lost interest in it. So I'm determined to beat it, currently on chapter 11. Rayman is a great game, been having a lot of fun playing it with my friend. I forgot how hard platformers can be. I decided to get Demon Souls since I loved Dark Souls and wanted to see what I missed out on. So far I'm loving it.
  21. Kings Dominion Kennywood Cedar Point Waldameer Had plans for Hershey and Six Flags Great Adventure for my birthday, but the hurricane ruined those plans.
  22. I've been playing Dark Soul's and Uncharted 3. For as hard as they made Dark Soul's to be, I was hoping for the game to be a lot harder. It starts out rough, but gets easier as you learn how to deal with certain enemies. Currently on my 3rd play through for the platinum. Has anyone played Rocksmith? I have always wanted to learn how to play the guitar, but never had the motivation to.
  23. Maverick's ejector air is so much more enjoyable and comfortable compared to Magnum.
  24. On the bright side, atleast you can ride Millennium Force and check out the dinosaurs for free
