Hey stop picking on my baby V2 lol!!!! V2 better not be going anywhere! It just needs some TLC... remember Batman and Raging Bull were looking like crap awhile ago and they repainted them and they look great. V2, to me (now that Iron wolf is gone), is the next ride that needs some TLC. I love V2, hell I love impulse coasters in general. As far as PR ... I think it was a poor choice to advertise new seats yet when they have nasty looking restraints like that. Someone was not thinking!!! They could've easily taken the picture of a "yet to be installed" seat cover and adverstised that. Unfortunately they said V2 is ready to go so I doubt that there will be anymore TLC for this year. As for a thought for the future... Could the new blue seats suggest where they are thinking about going with the color scheme if and when they choose to repaint the ride. As far as a ride rotation program... I am reluctant to believe that V2 is in it.... The park just gave up Iron Wolf.... But if it were... I gladly adpot this ride at SFA in Two Face's spot!

That last video with the 3 angles .... OK so ... WOW.. its like night and day compared to the POV and first videos. It ate those camelbacks even that large one like it was nothing... I almost dare say B&M ejector air on that return camelback. Also that first turn just screams intense... So I hope they keep it ike that... and not trim it down to what we saw in the first pov. -

^ Well I mean its a waste of film when half you video is the lifthill. Let me be clear though, the journey to the top is well worth it for whats to come as I think the ride has a great layout (even though on the short side), but At least unlike Steel Dragon 2000, you dont climb all that way for a very long, overdrawn, ride of blah. For Leviathan, I think I just hoped that half the ride time wasn't accounted for by the lift! I do agree the cable lifts are add to the thrill aspect! Leviathan looks to be great but I am beginning to doubt that it will be better than Behemoth. Just because this ride has a little less than a hundred feet more in height doesn't make it all that better. Guess we have to reserve final judgement upon riding but just my prediction. -

I wish it was a RAW pov ... I laughed because nearly the whole first minute of the video is lift hill (half the ride time). That said... I love how you can see the dummy lifted out of the seats for the entire crest of the air time hills. I love how B&Ms pick up speed during every descent..... Other than that.. don't see anything special about Leviathan that Behemoth doesn't deliver if not delivery more of. -
I hope so! I mean the areas look too open to give off the forest feel. Trees that block the ability to see segments of the ride yet to happen or block the view of people on midway help immerse the ride experience in my opinion. Especially the beginning of the ride as you wind down you can clearly see the exit from the even building... there should be trees blocking the view of the ride's track entering the building from the track exiting the building. Also the space beneath the brick tunnel facade should be filled in because it doesn't go down to the ground so shrubbery or such would fill in that space well. The hill under the bridge could use some more adult trees also. Other than that... the ride is SPECTACULAR LOOKING... I can't wait to ride.

I have always loved looking at videos of that ride... I wish a park would build on in the states so I could ride one. Yes. Looking at the video it just seemed like the ride is begging for more "UMMMFFF", more juice, more speed. I feel like those launches could be faster and the whole relative dueling maintained but at a faster speed. The way Ride moves seems like a child put on ritalin but it looks awesome! Would love to ride it. -
I love these Aerial pics! X-FLIGHT looks great! The color really pops in the area. Also adds some height in that section of the park thats been missing since the old DejaVu cobra roll used to stick out near the midway. Also looking at the old Iron World Station... I couldn't help but think that wow, sky rocket would fit right in there with little to no trouble (but unlikely due to capacity)

I can assure you that this is no longer how the park does the Flash Pass System. This past season it worked like any other six flags park for the most part. Gotham City worked on a merge system. Those with flash passes had their own entry way and we merged into the queue. However on very light days (when there was litterly no line) to atleast give flash pass guest some value added experience they would be allowed to enter through the exit. All other major rides (I.e. Wild One, Mind Eraser, Roar). These rides the operator held the gates and allowed the flash pass guest to board the train first and then opened the gates to fill the remaining seats. Each time this happened the operator would not put focus on the guest with flashpass but instead would market the opportunity for other guest to upgrade to the same perks by getting a flashpass as well. This system worked however sometimes I think flash pass created more problems in this park than fixed them. Due to the short lines, a flash pass users experience could vary based on PERCEPTION. I never felt the need for flash pass here so imagine how someone would feel who bought one only to find very short lines. If there hardly a one train wait at superman, merging would only place you behind the other guest because there's no line so on such days the park tweaked the sytem. I think that this is one six flags park that could do without it and run just fine. Afterall KD did along with the other CF parks before now. This waterpark/ dry park Qband might work as guest should see the value when in the water park and if the dry park is markerted as an extra perk this could work. We will just have to see.

^ That can't be... the holding break is still used on Possessed and Steel Venom. Possessed is technically older than V2. I was just riding it in October. I was the lead in charge of the ride the season we stopped using it. I saw the engineering talking about by passing the rear holding break to prevent the ride from faulting as it was that morning after the storm. That day V2 opened up late. I didn't come to work the day after the storm and hear maintenence talking about structural problems. Intamin added extra support on the spikes years prior and that hasn't created any additional structural problems that I'm aware. I'm pretty sure its more the cost of replacing lims on the spike and the hardware you've to bring in to install them (need a tall crane) vs structural.

Volcano at KD?
vacoaster09 replied to CoasterT98's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Awesome ride, fast rush, two lauches, straight up out the volcano but I cannot stand waiting for this ride. If you don't hit this ride first you will regret it. I always wished I could get a roll back on this ride.
