  1. Well look at it this way... How long have they had Transformers in the plans. So a 2010 youtube page to set this up ... makes sense to me. This is Universal Hollywood, their marketing team is not going to be a group of last minute thinkers.
  2. I wonder if they are turning one side or both sides around backwards. They won't need OTSR. The Lap bars will be just fine. In my logic... if people were able to ride Chiller backwards through thoughts zero-g-rolls with just lap bars then anything is possible!!! I think this is a good move as it will bring back attention to a great ride tha twas built in the 90s. I'm sure that while they are at it they will give the dated themeing some TLC too and restore the ride back to its prime.
  3. Here is the link the the Rocky Mountain Construction website about Topper Track. Should give you a idea from the souce of what is it the type of ride it designed to give.
  4. I still wish I knew what happened to the holding drop. I was at work and it was working just fine, the next day i had the day off, I remember there being a storm that day, I came to work the next day after being off and my ride was down. All kinds of stuff program stuff was messed up and they said it had been struck by lightning and had to program the ride to bypass the holding brake because it wasn't functioning properly and caused the ride to fault every time they tested it that morning.
  5. Its the angle at which you are looking at the track in that photo combined with the direction of the roll... thats why it looks different to the eye. Still same kind of element.. I'm sure you will see once the pov comes that their the same besides the different direction.
  6. They are not different(other than direction)! There solved it! So anyone think that they have fixed V2s Holding Drop! Been down since 2008, the year I worked it.
  7. A new video has been posted ... I love S&S launches, seem so intense. The caption says a full video will be uploaded soon and that the ride will open in June 2012.
  8. Yeah that where I am confused because today is the first I'm hearing about such details of the ride. So why would Latimes throw TPRs name in it. Someone is leaking info to latimes (starting to wonder if latimes is paying someone for the info). I am surprised a mechanic would jeapordize his/her career and leak key details. While I'm excited for the new ride. I'm kind of tired of the ruined surprises. I mean we haven't even started the 2012 in full swing, better yet LLDOD isn't even finished, and 2013 details are already leaked.
  9. So I take it someone just got fired at the park for talking to the enthusiasts and leaking these details. Does this mean latimes got the info form TPR.
  10. So will the splash effect on Shambhala end up getting riders on Khan wet as they come down the first drop?... Or will the end up doing more of a controlled splash (i.e. Manta in Orlando)
  11. I recall Chris Gray and I believe S&S commenting on the process of installing a ride in China and the guidelines they have to adhere to etc... completely different that here in the states. I've seen the ride in these videos and looks like it made complete test runs, theme looks ready etc... I was just wondering. Again I hope to see a pov soon. Just like I was looking to see if there were videos of the trains racing through the High 5 element in wuhan.
  12. Looks like they went with a dark red color (like raging bull support color) instead of black... and it compliments the orange very well. Love the colors
  13. ^ok i think you took me to literal. I just think of my own design inspirations. Sometimes I take things that work well and integrate them into newer and improve upon the design. I'm simply just making an observation. Taking in account sequencing... Looking at the large hill/drop, crossing airtime hills both preceeded and followed by low to ground high banked turns. Thats all! Just saying Sky rush shares similar sequencing. No need to go as deep as track design, GP persepective, and such...
  14. Looking at Superman, I am reminded out Skyrush from some reason! Perhaps it inspired ...
