Haven't heard anything which is unfortunate. For a park getting it's first coaster in 10 years I would think they would provide more updates to keep the excitement going. Marketing is going to be key this year to bring in more attendance and spread news of the new coaster. I love when parks let you follow along so I hope SFA kicks up the energy and posts more to let us follow the construction with more consistent updates!!!

^ Well, I think the No Loose Article policy helps and you can't fault SFA for upholding, by entering the park, you go in understanding the rules. All Gotham City Coasters have lockers, no you can do the trade up thing where you have someone in line hold while you ride, but nothing can be left on the platform and nothing can be brought with on the ride unless its secured. There are Souvenir bottle holders on all plaforms. Minderaser, Roar, and Wildone have cubbies. ^^ Superman is a decent mega coaster. The speed it good and the last 4 air times hills are Awesome. Back Seat is the best! (so is the front). Batwing you are good, I find front row middle seats to the best, (not the outside seats). The middle seats on any row give a decent ride though. Wild One - classic and just all around goodness, good pops of air and laters in the end helix Roar - Least favorite right at the park, even less than mind eraser. The ride is not re-rideable in my opinion. I don't know how people withstood it during the Stride-a-thon, ridding non-stop for hours.... I hope the end up retracking. First drop is good and then all hell breaks loose starting at the first turn around.

Has nothing to do with Electricity! Moreso with the ride programming. Computer gets the ride up to a certain speed and then lets up... So not all Lims are used on every launch. However you can have it so that all lims fire no matter what... called a "Hot Launch". JJ is programed for a certain speed... and if it goes too fast it will fault. Outside conditions dictate how fast a train travels on its own. It can be pretty hot in TX. I love Jokers Jinx! It's second popular ride to Superman in the park.

I am impressed as there is only one other ride of this type in the world. So I'm all for it especially since this has a coaster section. I am just shocked at the price tag for this ride! Why does it cost so much? Must be the technology (i.e. lift system) -
Exactly, I think it would look better if they were boomerangs were facing each other. Right now it looks like Father and Son trailing behind. If I was in the park, I would not waste any time and wait in line for flashback. If I were general public I would say "Its the same ride" and on a hot day I would bother waiting for the smaller of the two. It just doesnt make sense. As unique as this situation is, I think that is all that sheds light on this stranger sight of two boomerangs. The coaster lover in me knows that the two ride experiences are completely different. I am excited for a new coaster at SFNE. I'm just saying that my eybrow raises at who ever made the decision out of all the rides being rotated to put this ride in this exact space in this orientation.

The Hell is in that last picture? Looks like the Spider Contraption from Wild Wild West Movie Starring Will Smith LOL -
All intimin Impulse coasters are equipped with a "Light Curtain", a strip of photoeyes that line vertically along both sides of the station track. (Almost as if creating an invisible wall) If this "curtain" or wall is flagged by anything, it automatically shuts down the ride. The brakes engage and the train is slowed to a stop. While it does not prevent the possibility of an impact, It atleast slows the train automatically. It would suck if anyone jumped when the train is coming down from the rear spike because there's hardly any time for the train to engage any brakes.

My latest responses in this tread were basically trying to say that SFA shouldn't be singled out as if its the only park with needs for improvement. This park has done a complete 180 especially since 07. I love the park and staff. I spent everyday this past summer at the park, literally. Folks SHOULD give it a shot. Guest Service is the best it has been in years! I am looking forward to the new addition to the park and the good to come down the road.

^Years. Honestly, I believe old six flags would've left them. They were previously walled up around perimeter. I truely think that once the new CEO Jim Reid, made his visit to the park early this season. When he passed by (because its impossible to walk down main street and not see them) that it put it on his Radar and he made the decision to revive the slides. I really don't know what the old six flags was thinking out how they thought such was Ok, but im glad this new management took notice.

Six Flags is working on this park, but it first had to work on the interior. There is alot of new management, most of the big wigs at the park prior to 2008 are gone! This park had to restructure and start rehabing, before it could rebuild. The park is coming back. I have full faith. Many, including myself, have had horrible experiences at this park, but just alike. All my visits to the park have been great this season. Actually, I ended up at GR at KD because operators were just playing around and talking about inappropiate things and playing jokes. I mean but let Sfa do something wrong and its the end of the world. But like my experience at KD, I have to forgive and hold faith that the park will improve. Sometimes it seems people bash this park and haven't been recently at all to justify their claim. It still might not be the greatest but its definitely not the worst! (Dorney and KD I think didn't impress me nearly as much as SFA did operation rides. At dorney and KD, those parks' rides did most of the work. AT SFA I love the high fives, I love that the attendants talk to you, greet you, actually engage you, just give me all around attention. There may be a few bad seeds but the Good outweigh the bad at the park finally ....in my opinion)

^Is that a serious question? -
Wow, thanks!!! So basically its a ride attached to a extremely heavily weighted footer that would be near to impossible to pick up or tip over to geometry and mass. My only concern was becasue of the hurricane the the area gets. Seen buildings destroyed and wondered how this ride would withstand and hold up to their claim. Even Lazer had this (didn't know)... wierd that it rests on wooden blocks. Couldn't such a set up (i.e. the wooden blocks) be blown by hurricane winds?
