  1. SFDK is still a very good park. I find it to be a very well balanced, combining Seaworld, a Zoo, and an SF park, into one full experience. While the capacity may be lacking on certain rides, I still find the park to be relatively efficient, especially during the holiday hours. One bad visit to a park doesn't make the park bad. Remember how everyone hated Fuji-Q until this trip? It's like that. Just give the park another chance.
  2. It's also said that since about 05'. Honestly, I doubt this game, or the RCT movie are ever going to actually happen. Just let the idea die.
  3. His park was submitted on time: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=59774&start=50#p1067006
  4. Screw the woodie, I want an Aquatrax On a more serious note, I really want this coaster to be built. Not only will it be a headlining attraction to even out the park's crowds a bit, but it will also bring in more guests. When was the last time CGA opened a coaster? almost ten freakin' years ago. An announcement like that is sure to bring tons of people into the park.
  5. I'm really hoping all these crazy ride relocations turn out to be false.... Moving a ride is quite expensive, and I really don't see SF relocating 4-5 coasters for practically the cost of a brand new one... Pandamonium always has long wait times, and it's only been at the park for three three and a half years... I don't see it going anywhere seeing as not even a Eurofighter could fit in such a small area...
  6. Does the Voyage currently hold any records?
  7. Kraken & Manta and RCT2Day got my votes. Their parks had great atmosphere and terrific use of scenery!
  8. You'd be very surprised...Especially if you ride the one in Sacramento which only uses single rider inner tubes. Those halfpipes scare the living daylights out of me, and pretty much everyone I know is freaked out by them... The drop is much more intense then down under thunder's, as it is much steeper.
  9. All my visits to Discovery Kingdom in the past have been quite nice, and I've never really ever seen anyone line jumping before. The park was clean and tidy, ride operations were decent, except for Thrilla Gorilla (which sucks, don't ride it) and all the shows were quite entertaining. When I've been during the Holiday in the Park, I've had an even better time due to lower crowds and festive theming. The snow hill was quite a welcome addition, as it removed the smoking section that used to choke the people in line for the lakeside flatrides. The only issue with HitP was the random campfires set up, which often caused me to gag on the first drop of Medusa... Anyway.. I've always found SFDK to be the black sheep of SF parks, sort of how GCA is the black sheep of CF. The park is quite good for being run by SF.
  10. Hello everyone, it's finally here! This is a dark coaster made with no custom scenery. Shot0458.bmp The exterior. Shot0459.bmp The inside queue area. It's rather small, but this is very high capacity ride. Shot0460.bmp In the queue, you can catch a glimpse of a train heading towards the lift. Shot0461.bmp The station area. 11. It may just be the concept art, but don't the seat appear to have a rotating joint? This would confirm it as being B&M's first rotating seat wingrider....
  12. Mack Spinner Anyone? It seems like the type of ride that HW would be interested in as it appeals to a wide variety of people, and whole families. The cost from them I believe is right around the price of HW's new addition as well... The ride can also operate in the rain which is a big advantage. (Very handy during WCB 2010)
  13. CGA removed their railway in 1999 to make way for S&S's prototype model that operated at their factory (called Thrust Air 2000). It was canceled due to noise complaints from neighbors I believe.
  14. In 2007, when the park was still know as Marine World, a flyer was originally proposed for either the site if the motion theater, or the site that now occupies Pandamonium/Big Spin. It is unknown whether or no they went any further than considering however, as the project was dropped (or maybe put on hold???? We can hope!) in favor of a name change for the park. While a name change sounds like a small thing, I guess you could say it was more of a "rebranding" of the park from focusing just on marine animals, to encompassing all the park had to offer. If you get Pandamonium balanced just right, you can have an amazing ride (usually three people with the two heavier people on one side) or you can get a really lackluster and boring ride, it just depends. Roar is still my favorite GCI, but only in the front, as the other seats have gone to crap. Is anyone interested in hanging out during the day? I looking for some people to hang with, as my cousin has bailed on me and can't come.
  15. I believe those trains are Zerier made. After Dorney sold Laser (Test Track) the company bought new trains.
  16. IT'S NEARLY TIME TO ENTER THE FACTORY Shot0456.bmp
  17. Montu's European Cousin seems to be coming along quite nicely! I'm interested in seeing how the layout and theming end up....
  18. I wonder how Universal is going to use the elevators. I assume that they will have some kind of a screen and ride scene as the ride climbs to the second story. Also, won't the shafts have to be able to hold two elevators (ala Journey To Atlantis SWSD) to keep the capacity high? if not, those better be some pretty darn fast elevators.
  19. TOMORROW PREPARE TO ENTER THE FACTORY Shot0454.bmp Only at Bell Gardens. Sorry for such a long delay. It'll be worth the wait!
  20. The park park has a very generic and poor usage of many CS items. Try mixing colors and scenery and don't make your buildings look generic and plain. Spend more time focusing on one area of the park before moving to the next.
  21. Cedar Point without Skyride is like Knott's Berry Farm without the parachute tower...oh wait...
  22. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't there originally plans to build an indoor coaster themed to MTV or something like that a few years back when Paramount still owned the parks?
  23. The set is entitled : "Imagineer John's Ride Events", and should be under custom scenery on the site.
  24. Members don't always update their parks every week. Give them time to complete their work before showcasing it in a an update.
  25. I think another small issue with this is not the site itself, but some of it's members who are also TPR members. I constantly see "Is this on NE? Are you going for an acolade?" or things to that extent. Unfortunately, along with those comments, I often see very hash, attacking and non-constructive critisism accociated with several NE/TPR crossovers, that have left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm not going to point fingers, all I wish to say is that NE is projected as an elitist site partly because of how some of its members behave here. It's not all of the crossovers, but there are one or two that often put NE in a bad light. That's all I have to say on the matter.
