  1. Haha, very true. Several of the front seat ride on Atlantis have left me drenched to the bone, although not as much as Bilge Rat Barges . Tis ride looks much more promising than when it was first announced IMO.
  2. WOW! those are some great looking trains! Can't wait to see how this looks when they finish!
  3. Agreed. I'd say that Manta will probably be around the same intensity of JTA, but with a much more cohesive theme and scenery interaction. It's looking absolutely amazing, and it's the coaster San Diego has been waiting for.
  4. Though, Superman is much larger than Sky Screamer. It may not be an issue park side, it could be that Premier isn't ready to ship the pieces out to NorCal yet. We can't just immediately fire our dismay toward the park, as we have NO idea what's involved in the construction of the ride.
  5. ^Thanks for reminding me about the Monte Mechanic! I have a pretty cool video of that.
  6. See this is exactly what I was talking about. This park just doesn't fit Universal's Atmosphere. Detail is everything, and I just am not feeling it.
  7. Speaking of Intamins... Here's the footage I took of Green Lantern yesterday! Enjoy!
  8. Yes, this will be the final major addition.
  9. Socal, Socal i'm going to do a bunch of ride's and some new concept's for some attraction's like Woody Woodpecker, Bttf, Jaws, JP, ROTM And aswell E.T. Oh and Rotm will not be completed until Project's tower's thirteen ct will be out but for now i will think of actaully doing BTTF And JP. Oh and Invertigo is a universal picture's Thriller so i thought if i can do a drop tower themed to the motion Picture. Theming will be added soon but for now i might bring a photo update on the are of Universal's senic tour's and woody woodpecker. Oh and socal this is my first park so back off! It's constructive criticism. You've shown little to make me think this is Universal. You aren't portraying a Universal setting. I haven't seen substance, detail, or anything that really make this seem like a Universal park. The key word here is UNIVERSAL. This is your first park? Okay. That doesn't mean you don't fix it's flaws simply because it's your first attempt.
  10. As it stands this park has very little in terms of substance theming and cohesiveness. If you don't have the skill or the time to make a park to Universal Standards, don't give it a universal name. I'm not seeing much in these shots. It's not Universal. It's just a hodgepodge of several rides and a Universal Globe. If you are going after the Universal name you need theming, detail and skill.
  11. That is technically true...only because of those San Diego old farts. IIRC, it was mentioned during Journey's construction that the city requires all new attractions to have "educational value." Though I personally don't notice a difference between the two parks in that regard either, since Orlando's ride queue's have exhibits too... Yah, although Blue Horizons moved the Dolphin Show away from education an into show, but since the educational part is now the pre show, I can see how they got away with it. I don't mind them integrating "educational" values into attractions, especially when SeaWorld's core forus really is to educate people on marine life. Manta looks like it's going to be a fantastic attraction either way. One thing I am a bit surprised by is that we've seen so little in terms of what Manta will be like as a whole. We've seen some light concept art and an NL recreations of the layout, but beyond that, we've really not seen much of what is going to be in store... I guess what I mean is we have all the pieces, but don't have the slightest clue how to put them together into the attraction.
  12. I thought the GCI was called Mountain Flyer? The coaster looks excellent and it seems like you had a great time!
  13. Anyone know what's up with Green Lantern? When I went on Satuarday there were 10+ incidents where riders re entered the station at an odd angle and could not be set into the loading position without a mechanic. Has anyone ever seen Insane have this problem as well? I just remember it happening a LOT on Saturday...
  14. Had an absolute blast both days at the bash! I rode Green Lantern a total of around 15-20 times using the single rider line no one seemed to know exsisted and loved every ride. Unfortunately I also got stuck on the ride for around a half hour because of issues with the cars not being able to lock their unload position in the station. this must have happened 10+ times during the day. I still don't understand the whining about Revolution. I had some absolutely spectacular night rides on it with only one quick instance of roughness. Jeff Tucker's Q&A at Knotts was incredibly entertaining as usual ( I got the first Soy Joy Bar ) and Brooke's haunt presentation will definitely bring me back for haunt. I also finally got my hands on a copy of Knotts Preserved and the Sixth Key and I'm loving both! Food from Knotts was incredible and the back stage tours got us unbelievably close to some of the attractions. However me and a friend actually got an exclusive look at the private train cars by coincidence. One of the train staff called out to us as we walked by and asked us if we wanted to see the cars. I want to thank Robb, Elissa, Magic Mountian, and Knott's for putting on a Great Bash Weekend!
  15. I'm sad to see Crypt go, it was always one of those really unique looking attractions I've wanted to try, especially it being a giant top spin.

  17. (As per my signature states) The Legoland Nerd inside me wants that map! Seriously great to see all these new Legolands appearing as they really are some great parks. I find most them are underrated in terms of overall experience.
  18. This one goes in the category of deduction failure.... SeaWorld said: GP Says: Hmmm....maybe, just maybe, it's a team of people who educate?
  19. Hey everybody! I think it's finally time I gave you all a good long look at the final major addition to Bell Gardens! Western Waters Adventure Park Shot0719 (Copy).bmp The childern's play structure features a water tower and hotel with two small slides and lot of water spewing from everywhere. 20. You used Twilight and Romance in the same sentance. You are now to be stripped of your title as a true man. Joking aside the park looks great, and is it just a coincidence that this twilight photo update arrived just after the one I did for Bell Gardens from a few days ago?
  21. Exactly. Although the waterpark, as I've heard was a bigger hit than Stealth ever was. And V2 has much better reliability than Stealth ever did.
  22. Offseason? Winter? These words are quite foreign to a Californian. Would you mind explaining them?
  23. I never quite understood why SFI didn't just relocate this ride to another park that met the height restrictions instead of modifying it?I still find it odd that they were even able to get zoning approval for it when they knew it would exceed SFDK's height restriction even before the first piece was installed. Yes, because removing a multi million dollar roller coaster installation that's only a year old, paying for the cost of removing it, plus loosing a major thrill ride, plus paying for the cost of most likely having to come up with a replacement attraction of some kind sounds so much easier than just chopping of the back spike, and reusing the forward twist tower into a barrel roll, and creating a unique attraction experience that no other park has.
  24. If Knott's was to try and build another coaster back there they could definitely use the I30Sky Truss/Lift Support for the Intitial Climb... After that, heck, if they fit SKyrush into Comet hollow, Knott's can fit a Giga somewhere in the back of the park. I wouldn't mind sacrificing Perlious for another coaster simply because they never run it with more than one boat (do they even have more than one) and the lines are always atrocious because of it. If Knott's could build a Windseeker, they could build a Giga. This is all theoretical of course, but I do think Knott's is going to need SOMETHING to counteract SFMM and DLR's 2012 additions in either 2012 or 2013...
  25. I really like that B&M Layout! Feels very Iron Wolf meets Medusa West in a way! Keep it up looking really nice so far!
