  1. processed my past yesterday, Sunday the 25th of october. they handed me and my friend the 2016 booklet of discounts and more importantly BAFF days. Here's the list: holiday in the park 2015: Nov 27th, 28th, 29th. December 6th, 13th, 20, 27, 28,29, 30. (dear god i'm already bored.) BAFF in Jan/Feb 2016: Jan 10, 24, 31 or Feb 7, 21, 28 BAFF May/June 2016 : may 31st, june 1, 2 ,3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, ,13, 14, 15 BAFF August: 8th 9th and 10th. BAFF Select sundays: august 28th, September 11th or september 18th. GOLD season pass members get a BAFF any Tuesday in july. (done quicker then I expected) ---------------------------------------------------------------- Me and my friend got into the park sunday at like 2:30, it was a rather busy day and we showed up over a hour late because freaking Highway 12 was closed. It will be this coming weekend (30th to the 1st) Friday - early Monday as well, both directions. So take highway 4 if your in san joaquin county. We get our lunches off my dining passes (2015 and 2016 ones) Medusa Twice, Sky Screamer once. got our wristbands (25 each with season pass in the park) got salted pretzels while waiting for nightmare manor to open. hit all 6 mazes got dinner did our 2nd ride on medusa and left. We took I-80 to Sacramento then cut I-5 south to go back to stockton and oakdale. Just getting to I-5 took like 35 mins then 40 from Sac to Stockton.
  2. when I was there a few weeks ago now, they only had them for 2016 season meal pass users, well the gold meal pass ones. If its like last year, you likely wont gett them until like decemember. at least thats how it was at SF:DK.
  3. SF:DK's facebook page has video of track of Roar getting removed. One step closer to real airtime.
  4. yeah, when i took my friend with me and my dad on a BAFF day in like jan or feb it was foggy at the start of the day at SF:DK but it was a really light day given it was BAFF and all. Very fun time to go.
  5. Riddlers Revenge at SFMM for me. a week ago, nothing was enjoyable about that ride for me. Other then the fact it was a stand-up coaster which I guess is where the problems come in. The drop itself isn't tall, not really steep compared to a lot of other coasters in the same park. Goliath, Twisted Colossus, Scream, X2, Tatsu and possibly even Batman have better drops then it, from my point of view at least.
  6. My phone and wallet are kept in my pockets just because of how tight my blue jeans are. No I don't buy skinny jeans I just need to loose some weight. I got my keys on a clip that I just put on a belt loop. My glasses I have a back of the head/neck cord for it. I can tighten it up a lot and i can actually see better on rides now for it. My issues with it are that it doesn't go around my neck but, I can make it so tight they never budge at all.
  7. Sorry ti took me so long to get back with the report of my Friday stay at SFMM. My dad and i got to the parking gate with 5 mins left before opening so i just got out there and ran to the discover line and got in at about 10:25 am. I quickly walked to Full trottle but it was down. Quickly walked to TC and it was already running. Did a ride in row 2 for my first time on it and then in row 11 or whatever the row is the 2nd from last row. Estinally i didn't want to wait for the ends but i wanted to ride in the same car. after I did Goliath, Lex Luther (the freeway side, that I never got to go on in the VIP trip in 2012) riddler's revenge (that was a mistake despite being a walk on really) then I finished up with Superman in a middle row. i checked the full Trottle line since apparently it was open again but nope.. too long for me and it was already hot at noon or so. Met up with my dad near the front and left to head down to LA. Really hot day but I did a fair amount of rides I enjoyed in the span of less then about 2-3 hours. TC does have a lot of airtime, but I felt oddly let down during them. I guess I was just so hyped to finally ride it, it was likely never going to meet my expectations. Really, really good ride though. Scariest part for me other then the drop('s) was that whip like action on the green side. thought it was going to be forceful but it felt smoother then Medusa.
  8. yeah I got a 2015 gold pass. Thanks for the advice. goin g to do full throttle, people mover to top of hill and do superman, ninja ant tatsu then head back down for some TC marathoning then finish off with a ride on lex and goliath. if i'm able to stand TC that much.
  9. I'll be wearing a SF:DK "Farewell to roar" shirt. Gonna leave here from Stockton before 5 am.
  10. Hopefully tracking will start going in around "holidays in the park" .
  11. I never been on a RMC before, seen lots of POV's but I don't think anything perpares you for getting on a ride for the first time. If I like it enough I'll stay around it. but I know I really like superman, have only been on ninja I think once and Tatsu is the only flyer I can get on so hopefully I get that at least once. Thanks for the advice,
  12. So, I am going tomorrow. I plan to get there at opening if possible and my plan is two do the rides I've never been on. Full Throttle and Twisted Colossus. My dad wants to leave the park by 2-2:30 pm as our primary ereason is to vist family and attend a family member's funeral down in the LA area. (His Uncle, guy lived a long life.) so I guess my plan is.. Full Throttle Goliath TC (hoping it's a quick line) Lex Luthor (i'm still open to suggestions on how to vary this list. Could do Goliath after TC and Lex even.) I'm slightly confused about the best option after tghose 4. If I end with Lex. is it best to go to the backside of the park and walk up the mountain path there or just go back to the express and ride it up the mountain to tackle Superman, Ninja and Tatsu? I'm not out of shape but I don't prefer running in parks, since apparently it is against the rules and there's a slight safety issue with it.
  13. I'm glad Six Flags will finally be doing this. One of my last times at SF:DK some guy who accompanied a disabled person took the front seat of Roar and went to the left side of the double seat car. I'm standing in line as a single rider and i'm like "Can you slide over please so I can ride and not have to wait a extra min". Ask him on the lifthill "How long did you guys wait? I've been up on the platform for about 10 mins myself."
  14. Oh, I completely forgot Green Lantern even existed. Rode it once on my last visit to SFMM and didn't really enjoy it. It along with Scream and maybe X2 are the coasters i'll likely end up ignoring.
  15. In case I do go to SFMM/LA in the coming weekend, are there any single rider lines worth taking advantage of? Went twice in 2010 and once in late 2012 on a VIP tour there. Haven't been on Full Throttle, TC, Batman, Viper or Revolution (though I know that one is down, as far as I know.)
  16. I might be going to magic mountain this next weekend like on Friday or Sunday, however SFMM is open the 12th, monday. Is that a non-school day or something? If I end up going to the park, I'll likely just end up doing Full Throttle then Twisted and maybe get some time on older favorites. suck that's my 2016 pass isn't processed at sf:dk yet since it has a gold meal pass which now works at other parks.
  17. I'll be there this Sunday as well, for the same purpose. I hope the crowds are decent, as it's supposed to be sunny and 80. Still, better than Jamz. That really is an awful time to go to the park. Pretty sure me and my friend will do the haunts/mazes (whatever we're calling them.) I'll likely have us check out medusa artound 4 pm and see if the crowds are non-existent there at that time like in the regular season. update: yep. not going today since my friends car isn't running. He can only go on sunday's too so its either the 25th or well the 25th since 2016 passes need to be registered by nov 1st for the gold upgrade.
  18. I'm likely going to SF:DK on sunday to process me and my friends 2016 passes. sunday 11th and 18th of october is those two Cheer Jams cheer and dance competion/exhibition days. hundred's of of girls who seem to get their whole family to come to the park to watch them + the general public who had no idea it was going on.
  19. Or one step closer for the first Cedar Fair Parking Lot Tailgate Experience park. I'm seriously wondering if a exec over at Cedar fair is going " why did we buy CGA?" CF actually had CGA sold. The deal fell through last second though Umm, Cedar Fair *does* own CGA. edit: Oh, nevermind. They did try to sell it and thats what you meant.
  20. Prepare to be extraordinarily disappointed. SFMM mazes always sound better then the ones here at SF:DK. Though last year nightmare manor got me decently well in one of it's rooms.

  22. Yep, that sounds about right for the late august/September BAFF days given my experince with them in 2014 and 2015. You got 2015 and 2016 pass users all vying to use it. This sunday is the last in this round of BAFF not to mention being the parks first GLBT day as well. Watch out for the cheer jamz thing during like the two middle sundays of fright fest. Maybe I just find it annoying but I never had a good time when I accidentally encountered those. Is attendance typically pretty strong on weekend at SFDK or just during special events? I haven't been there in years, but I always assumed it had lousy attendance given that it has seemed very neglected in the ride department after that initial blast of Medusa, Roar and the impulse coaster in a short period of time. I never elected to go saturday's just because I think it would be more crowded then sundays and during spring/summer I try to go monday-thursday if I can. Anyways I for once can ride their coasters many times over, so i'm sure others can as well. Even with roar gone they still got 2 really good coasters 1 decent coaster and 2 vakoma's. on top of that you got the animal encounter stuff and those shows. There's zero reason to be bored at SF:DK on a normal operation day. so the only thing that throws a kink in that plan for me is 1. not having a idea on what to do while there or 2. the park is really filled up with guests. Id be far more bored with CGA simply because they only got two coasters I want to ride and both are in the front area of the park and after that the only animals in the parks are well, people.
