  1. I get what you guys are saying, I REALLY do. But I have a hard time complaining about a coaster that doesn't exist yet, not to mention, one that 2 weeks ago was thought to be dead altogether. When and IF Leviathan west is announced I will probably have mixed feelings as well. Awestruck at the possibility of an actual B&M giga on the west coast. Disappointed that it's not Intamin. But truthfully, I look forward to the disappointment compared to what we have now. But this needs to be confirmed before I worry about it.
  2. ^ Sadly, I don't think any of those are going to be Intamin. I REALLY hope I'm wrong...
  3. Waiting patiently for that "go BIG cam" chick to show up and drop a few hints.
  4. It wouldn't be so bad if Knotts had another "better" representation of wood elsewhere like most parks do. But if you like wooden coasters and you visit Knotts Berry Farm, Ghostrider is it! You'd think with just one wooden coaster, they'd put more money into keeping it ridable. Sad day when both of SFMM's wood coasters are better than Knotts.
  5. I wouldn't be surprised if Six Flags were to clone X-Flight at least once...
  6. The multi-announcement last year was pretty epic imo. I would love to see that again. It seems as though neither of the parks rumoured to be getting actual "coasters" next year (SFMM,SFFT) have weighed in on the August 30th date yet. Are there any other parks in the chain hinting at a coaster addition?
  7. Not sure how you've come to this conclusion. We don't even know how the SFMM coaster will turn out yet.
  8. Oh, I like the Screamin Swing idea! That would be an awesome addition.
  9. Just keep in mind that whatever Knotts builds, they will be going up against whatever SFMM opens next year. At least in terms of media coverage. Whatever it is, it will be noteworthy.
  10. Well unless we're talking about a giga, they could add a thrilling new coaster without touching Ghost Town. There are so many ways to add roller coasters in small areas, I'm surprised we're even having this conversation. Look no further than what Hershey did with Skyrush.
  11. ...and what's this great atmosphere people keep mentioning? Other than Ghost Town, I haven't seen it. Knotts reminds me of Hershey Park, not Knoebels.
  12. Knotts has a wild mouse, as well as a few other family coasters. The park hasn't added a thrill coaster since 2004. It doesn't have to be a giga coaster, but please no more lame ass family coasters like Pony Express. Something like Skyrush or even Maverick would be much better additions imo.
  13. Interesting that SFMM seems to be the only park in the chain not hyping up that August 30th announcement date.
  14. Only difference this year is the removal of a major thrill ride.
  15. Something like Diamondback would fit in nicely at Knotts, although I personally hope for Intamin.
  16. Ahhh, sorry man. That's what happens when you get complaining and people complaining about complaining. It becomes a big mess. Anyway, back on topic. lol
  17. ^ So true. Although SFMM will build the world's tallest inversion and then call it a "giga loop".
  18. ^ I didn't even read your post. I'm speaking in general, so calm down.
  19. ^ I'm sorry but in who's world is a giga "just another coaster"? Not in mine. That would be like the investment of the century for a park like Knotts. It would do for Knotts what Millennium Force did for Cedar Point. It may or may not happen, and I agree that a family ride makes more sense for the park's main demo. But no way is a 300ft monster ride just another coaster.
  20. The people complaining about Viper roughness are funny to me. It's a 22 year old Arrow, and still the smoothest of that generation. SFMM has done an amazing job maintaining that ride while other parks are removing them. What else do you want? Riddler always feels rougher if the trains neeed a rahab, which was easier to do when the park had 3 trains to work with.
  21. I don't think they need it anyway. Having a coaster hug the perimeters of the park with a compact layout would make for a more exciting ride imo.
  22. Screamscape seems to think the long delayed then cancelled Giga coaster is back on again.
  23. ^ Haha... the person who did the one for Gate Keeper nailed it. Let's hope you just did as well.
