  1. Great, now I have to get to BOTH Texas parks next year to compare the two! Hopefully Colossus is next, because these rides look spectacular!
  2. Yupp yupp, thought about that option as well. I'm not sure what exactly it will be or how capacity will work, but I guess we'll all see in a few hours regardless. ^^ And no, no one at all is thinking this will be a strata or even a giga coaster at all, sorry dude. I don't see why this coaster can't load and launch the same way TTD and Kingda Ka do. The difference would be that the second launch out of the tunnel would double as a block.
  3. From the sound of things, this sounds like a wacky combo of SFDK's Superman, The Chiller and Speed:The Ride. I just hope the capacity is better than all of those. Well that, and no OTSR.
  4. Well, not the long terrain hugging launch that people were hoping for, I can already smell a whole day full of complaints tomorrow. Parts of that description sound awesome though. Given the space they are working with, I wonder if an entire plaza will be built surrounding the coaster.
  5. Um... The GP comments on the CGA facebook page are absolutely priceless. A few of my favorites: " It only has 1 drop, lame"! " They will never top Grizzly". " Bring back Invertigo" "They're just adding more track to The Grizzly"
  6. Gold Striker looks great. The speed on the turns remind me of Thunderhead, and I'm glad they didn't cop out on the length. Of course it isn't earth shattering, but more importantly, it looks fun and better than Roar!
  7. ^ Yeah very well done. That element looks terrific actually.
  8. My 2013 dream would be a mini B&M dive machine/ Ghostrider topper track combo!
  9. ^ How dare you put things in perspective and actually make perfect sense! Besides, at least it's not a ride rotated from another park!
  10. ^ Especially if it's another low capacity ride. That would make 3 in a row and and I would join in the chorus of boos. The scary part about it is that this close to the announcement date, Screamscape is usually pretty dead on...
  11. Um... that looks absolutely fabulous. I hope the rumors is true. However if the ride is that short, expect MAJOR complaints come Thursday morning.
  12. I do like that they tried immersing guests in a few of their attractions, but my favorite themed Six Flags rides are Mr Freeze, Riddler's Revenge and now Lex Luthor. They really don't need to do much more than that. And I love Golden Kingdom at Great Adventure. More of that please!
  13. ^ Personally, I'd be happy with a few airtime hills thrown into the mix. I know this coaster is mainly going to be about speed.
  14. I've been on it, and it has a couple of nice airtime moments (it's a great ride). But notice I said "insane" air, like Skyrush or El Toro.
  15. Enthusiasts love airtime, and SFMM is so limited in that area, the thought is that Intamin would be the best choice to provide it given their history. I can't think of a single Premier built ride that offers insane airtime. Perhaps that could change? Going by the rumors, this could be their most expansive coaster yet.
  16. Yeah are you kidding? A Maurer Spinner would be an awesome addition!
  17. If we're doing wish lists, I'd like a coaster longer than 4,000ft for a change. Multi launch, multi-element, something with a beginning, a middle and an end.
  18. No matter what they add, I'm planning to return next year (and CGA). SCBB is just an amazing place to hang out. Something like a spinner or an El Loco would excite me. It's amazing how well designers can now fit major coasters into small areas now. I can't wait to see what it is!
  19. Sometimes you have to save up your pennies for a few years, and then you never know, a BIG ride could be in the planning stages. No need to make such a big deal out of an off year (enthusiast-wise). The new management seems to be doing things the responsible way. One or two "big" rides a year, while making sure all the park get something in the meantime.
