Has anyone else seen commercials about Despicable Me stating that the ride is "Now Open"? I saw a commercial twice now, two days ago on NBC, and just now on Nick advertising the ride saying it's open. I haven't seen any news from any of the themepark sites, so I assume that this is not the case. I live in the Tampa area, has anyone else see a commercial like that?

I'm entirely excited for this thing! I'm more excited that this will be open in less than a year! Ohmigosh!

Honestly, I wonder how much they can do other than theme. Correct me if I'm wrong but couldn't they remove the "bumps" on the first section, or adjust the speed in certain parts of the ride to give a newer ride experience without changing the layout? I know this sounds stupid, but instead of showing the difference between the antilock breaks, they could do something else in that strip of road. I think that would be cool, actually.

I was here today also, never seen them use the entire adventure island parking lot as overflow as well as their other overflow lots. I agree kumba's crew was hauling arse. Posted wait time was 75, got through in 15 minutes. (Line was full, with overflow). Montu got a extended queue line since I got back. It was odd to enter the ride from the left instead of at the beginning of the station like before. Line was fast there too, montu's crew was amazing. Cheetah has a 120min wait with trains being launched every 4-5 minutes. It was a nice day, I don't think I would have needed quick queue, though.

I was told this is my present for Christmas/Birthday/and H.S. Graduation. 150cc engine, parents also got me the High Tops needed (As a alt of boots), gloves, and a jacket. Now, All I have to do is get my endorsement and helmet. Best evar.

I'd go as far as to say Spring Break is the second busiest time of the year. By all means, go. It's just that you might have a less than decent time with crowds.

Gwazi is my only option for a wooden coaster in my area. I haven't been on a decent wooden rollercoaster since 2006. Personally I think Gwazi is pretty good, but if what you say is true, I can't wait to ride the holy grail of wooden coasters when I visit some other parks this summer. I didn't realize it was that bad compared to other coasters.

Got mine, and have it all packed. I have to wait til Saturday to send out. (Post office closes at 5PM, I get off work at 4:30). I will try to race there tomorrow, though. I'm not sure my giftee will enjoy my gifts of wonder, but I sure hope so.

I'm sorry, I didn't explain myself. I was rather expressing my rage over the fact that our local news station cited rumors it would be happening in the studios with a train linking the two parks as a fact. Now, all the students at my school are 100% convinced it is a already approved deal. Just a little frustrated with people asking me at school. Sorry for the mixup.

We had a news story running last night with the announcement (and a interview from attraction magazine), claiming that the latest rumors about the expansion that were posted 3 hours before is the 90% thing that will happen. The expansion will probally go in the UStudios park and will have a train linking the too. After that, I run on TPR and am happy that it's not true. I can't wait for the expansion. It's a shame I'll be in college and out of state by then. Now, we have the entire senior class believing it's exactly how it was said on the news, and how gradbash will be even better. (Obviously it won't even be ready in time.)

I haven't been to 20 parks. Darn. Well, can't wait to read OTHER'S reviews. I always like the hear compliments and complaints about things I've never thought about before.
