  9. That's one bond I wouldn't buy. It's deeply sickening to think a company has to mooch of off the taxpayers to build a business they will profit on. Sure you can make the argument that a few businesses might benefit from the site being developed again, but is it 200 million worth? Will the people embrace it, support it, visit it, help it grow? That's something that's already been answered once. If it was worth saving SF's would have saved it. New parks are a risky business these days as we all have seen. Come to think of it, I'm curious to research how many new parks have opened in the US in the last five years that are still open, I'll have to check on that.

  15. ^ Yep. If you know how to use the system they are great! For example, several rides at SF's parks use the exit ramp for the FlashPass entrance. So on days when you are either too lazy to walk around if necessary, or the park is slightly busy but the wait time is 5 -10 minutes, the pass can provide for a good number of re-rides. In some cases, the park doesn't update the system and wait time is listed as 1 to 2 minutes. In this case, after your pass is scanned, you re-select the same ride. Works great on Mr. Freeze. On the 5 - 10 minute wait days, you simply select another ride close by and when you're done on ride 1, ride 2 is available. Q-Bot rules. hint *cough* Knotts hint
  16. ^^ Don't get me wrong, I realize and was shocked they are testing this, I just hope they test other methods or combinations as well. The initial price point at Knotts, however, is not good IMO for what you get, the idea however, is very much welcomed.
  17. Interesting read to say the least. Did he pay a visit to your school or did you request an in-person/phone interview? Thanks for sharing!
  18. ^^ This is GREAT news!! In other news, apparently Knotts is testing out a front of line pass this off season according to Screamscape. For $40 you get to skip the line ONE (1) time to the majors except for Jaguar, Montazooma’s Revenge and Xcelerator. Now, I realize this is a test, but really? $40 to go to the front of the line of Pony Express? Sounds like they are trying to copy something from Sea World where they offer two types, a one at each ride and done, or unlimited. Hopefully they will test other types of butt in line passes as well, because while some people will pay the extra cost on a really jammed out day, I'm just not seeing the value.
  19. It would probably need to stretch over to the Jones Mahal.
  20. Figured I'd throw in what I got today, the chain gang was still out at 4pm, they all packed it up and left around 5:15. Interesting to watch how they do it, I figured they just mount a winch at the top of the hill and start pulling, but as I saw, it's much more complex... station shot, they had the lights on in the station, and a chair in place for the supervisor. and several shots of the chain install waiting for me ok ok, and all of you too!! there was a lot of welding going on on the transfer track. Looked like they were installing the drive motors you have to look hard, but they are there and for some classic ride shots to end the day. sorry Texas, in Oklahoma we point longhorns down
  21. Thanks Dave, enjoying the looksee while waiting to get let in to SFOT. Thanks!!!!
  22. Date of occurence 12/11/10 FoxNews AND KMOV AND OzarkFirst
  23. ^^ You're a brave man, I took one look and went on down the road. Thought about parking at the QT and walking up onto the center of the bridge looking over at Titan and the TG, but being as my frogger days are over, bypassed that as well. I know SFMM was having a get in free day with a toy, but didn't see anything on it with SFOT so figured it'd be safe until around 4 or 5, boy was I wrong!
