  1. oh lord, here we go again. This roller coaster ride is certainly not without tremendous air time, or hot air. Looking like Prince Desmonds chances are getting better and better with each passing day.
  2. ^ Great comparrison! Hope you are still able to get to the park this weekend, I'd love to see the progress made this week. It'll be at least another week or two before I can get back
  3. ^ Thanks for the info, and the extras! I'm checking out the site right now and they've got some great views posted from the ski lift! Looks awesome! Thanks again!
  4. I guess I should go check my mailbox being as I haven't done that in like 10 days, of course, then again, I should probably wait and give the post office a few extra days Confused? just re-read my title **EDIT** IT ARRIVED!!! I'm starting to become impressed with the postal service, they've found my teepee three times in a row!! (the bills that have been stuffed in the box for the past two weeks have sadly also arrived) So let's see: DVD's Pen Mints Happy Thanksgiving Card from WDW WDL/Disney Studios Guide to the Parks Uni HHNXX Map Map of a park in a language I don't speak which makes it super cool
  5. hmmm, I can see that, maybe call it a "themeseum"
  6. One thing that has been my experience with the B&M flyers are, that in general, loading hasn't been too speedy. Some are better at it than others, but with all of the sensors and safety devices in play, Its rare that you see 6 or more trains dispatched without have to recheck or jiggle a OTSR to get the computer to clear it for flight. I will say that SFGAdv, so far in my experience, has been the best at getting trains out without having to re-check over and over. Then, the time it takes to get into position and lock, etc. It just takes time. Would more ride ops solve the problem, maybe, but then they'd need to raise the price of admission, or food, to cover the extra operating cost.
  7. Yep, I watched two people walking out of the facility with two bed spreads and four pillows, they were going out the emergency exit, so, I walked around to the side of the building and waiting for them, acted like I was checking out the property, when they opened the trunk I was more or less behind them. Gave them two options, they chose the first which was to put the items back. They acted like they had done nothing wrong and insisted that they paid for the items when they rented the room.
  8. So just to put it out there, I'm a Christian. And as a Christian and a former manager in multiple hotels, I hold my head in shame. Many church groups would come in and would get caught taking the bed spreads, sheets, blankets, clock, hair dryer, coffee pots, and yes, someone even tried to take a TV. They tried to sleep 6 to a room which violated fire codes and complained when we charged extra for rollaway beds, etc. While I would actually like to see it when built, just to say I've seen it, I pitty the area hotel operators who may have to put up with theft. Very sad and un Christianlike.
  9. They only need 24 more people to "like" them, so get to liking people!
  10. Well, at least they have a facebook, twitter, RSSfeed, youtube channel, .com, a FAQ section, media section,$112,500 of 24.5 million raised so far, and concept art. So it would seem as if they already have a leg up on the competition... **Edit, this is off the wall, but wonder who will insure an all wood structure?
  11. ^ i think it may just be an illusion as there is less wood than before (track wood and railings gone), but the ride itself is still massive, especially from the view up top of the Derek or from Titan.
  12. I find it quite sexy and curvaceous. Even in it's current state of development, if it were a female, it'd be on like donkey kong
  13. Six Flags posted a 1:41 video of the giant a few hours ago to their facebook. If you thought the pictures looked crazy, you gotta check out the vid, no shots of the station but the carpet and 90 degree turns are there and really showcases what a great ride this will be! And to be nice, here's a link so you don't have to click too many times to find it. The video is not uploaded to youtube and has a "property of six flags" disclaimer on it.
  14. What he said. That's exactly what happened. Just to clarify the context of what I wrote and so that nothing gets out of hand, it just *feels*that way, not saying that was really ever their intent, just what on the surface it feels like, two plus months later. I mean there is an off chance that something is happening we don't know about....possibly, a really off chance...so, with that being wrote, I shall sit back and wait for future developments. I would however have thought at the least they would get the valuables out of the elements or at the very least if they couldn't afford to move the trains, shrink wrap them. First one to snap pictures of construction crews wins the prize, tho I don't really have anything to hand out other than maybe a morale prize or left over pizza.
  15. I suppose your right Wes in the sense it's based off of conjecture, and maybe I should've waited until the new semester of college starts before expressing my true thoughts as there is a month between sessions to get things going.
  16. Publicity stunt is more or less what it's starting to feel like. A guy from the other part of the world merges with someone who's never ridden the ride much less been to the park, gets in the news papers, forums, chat rooms, and tv, puts up a half ass website with a picture of her holding a ring (which by the way qualifies her to buy and run a coaster) and then both basically disappear. What a joke.
  17. Just for kicks, I did an internet search last night on this gem of a project using multiple filters and whatnot. In the last month, not a single article has been written or updated on this project. Heck, I got more hits on Prince Desmond than I did the "official" project. I wonder what those trains look like all covered in snow...
  18. Thanks for sharing, the videos and pictures were awesome. Also appreciate the time you took to give us a vivid explanation, great writing! Hope to get over there one day, my cousin and her husband live in that giant beast of a building, said she could see for miles. They are required to pay for the entire year up front, so one large (and I mean large, if I remember right, somewhere around 48k US) payment keeps them comfy.
  19. this is one ride that will be worth running with the bulls or purchsing a flash pass for
  20. ^ It's been started for a while, they are painting when time allows. No! No! No!, there is only ONE Patriot - Worlds of Fun, Xcel doesn't hold a flame to the real Patriot!
  21. I think the better food offerings can certainly be done. Sea World and Busch Gardens both offer decent food options from BBQ to fresh baked and sliced turkey sandwiches with leaf lettuce, not that iceburg crap.
  22. ^ she used it for gas money to go sit in one of the cars for the news story last month, then, used the rest of it for dinner and a movie.
