  1. Doesn't look as bad as I thought however still not an ideal choice for colors.
  2. I'm thinking a Dark Ride or a B&M invert with a layout similar to Banshee.
  3. It's completely normal. My GF loves coasters however she absolutely will not ride LL:DOD @ SFMM, Tower of Terror @ DCA or Supreme Scream at KBF.
  4. Said person is most likely a member of this forum!
  5. Correct that's why I say the park isn't going to want to take on that investment on a 17 year old coaster.
  6. Boomerangs have issues with overheating as they age. Switching to electric winch motor resolves this issue however I'm not sure parks want to take on that kind of investment on an aging coaster type.
  7. Understood. Wasn't doubting you, just wanted to get some clarification. The slow catch car return could also be due to overheating. Overheating can be caused by a failing component such as the fluid heat-exchanger, motor, or coupling as you said. Either way, it's not normal and should be troubleshot and repaired.
  8. You can literally see the hydraulic supply lines leaking at the bottom of lift 1?
  9. Ah, you're correct. It doesn't work with mobile browser. That's weird. You'd think SF would make sure they're able to take your money regardless of what platform you're using.
  10. I just tried from my PC at work and I was able to get to the "CC info" screen. Have you gotten this far with the mobile browser?
  11. Just confirming you tried 732-928-2000 x2838? That's Guest Relations.
  12. A giga has been talked about in this thread before TC so let's not pull the ungrateful card A giga has been discussed along with an improvement in park cleanliness/general upkeep, giga Aqua-Trax that launches you through 2 rings of fire, and improving park operations efficiency. None of the above will happen.
  13. SF Corp. probably uses a marketing firm that uses stock images for all of the parks advertisements. Even if this is the case, SF still gives the final "OK" so there's STILL no excuse.
  14. Again, it's the GUEST'S RESPONSIBILITY to check the operating calendar prior to visiting. If you don't, this is a consequence to taking that risk.
  15. Happens all the time. CGA, KI, CP AND KBF have all been rented out. It is what it is. They owe the GP nothing as long as it is advertised via website, social media, etc..... Carowinds announced the closure on Facebook and Twitter. It was also on their website. It's the guest's responsibility to check a parks website prior to planning a trip.
  16. The 4th train will quickly become a parts donor to keep the other 3 alive.
  17. Like Dylan said, SFGAdv borrowed a train from SFMM so they could run 3 on Green Lantern. SFGAdv has returned said train and it is currently running on Riddler's.
  18. Train rehabs take longer than usual at SFMM because their Cycle Shop is severely understaffed.
  19. We all saw this coming. Great news. Article
  20. ^I agree that it shouldn't have been approved initially, but it was. V2 @ SFMW (SFDK) shouldn't have been green lit either, but it was. Then had to be modified once the city realized it was over the height restriction. After Windseeker's downtime incident, that ladder on the inside of the tower became the elephant in the room.
  21. The maintenance ladder on the inside of the tower is a single spine ladder and Cal-OSHA regulations require all ladders in CA to have a double spine. To replace this ladder with a Cal-OSHA accepted, double spine ladder, Mondial would need to redesign the entire tower for which it was obviously more feasible for CF to simply relocate Windseeker to a state (In this case Missouri) where single spine ladders are allowed. From Cal-OSHA's site: Single spine:
  22. That has already been established. "Brought up to code" is a generalized statement. We're not exactly sure what bringing it "back up to code" entails. In any case, Back to discussing CP and their 750ft dive machine.
  23. Depends on a few factors: -Age of chain -Is it 1 link or multiple links in different sections of chain -Amount of wear on chain
