  1. Intimidator 305 @ KD. Great way to end a great season here in VA .
  2. They look really long, but our longest wait of the night was 45 minutes for Medeival Macabre. They move really fast, actually. Just don't plan on doing Blue Ridge Bloodbath. That line takes forever, and can easily extend upwards of an hour. This is what we did: -We did the Asylum First, we got in line at around 5:25 or so and were the very first ones in line! It was simply amazing! -From there, we ran and did Toxic Plague, which we did in around ten minutes, and Club Blood, which took around fifteen. -From there we ran and got in qued up for "The Doll Factory". This took thirty minutes. -Next, we went and did Alien Outpost, which took roughly twenty minutes. -Then, we did Medieval Macabre, this was our longest line, it was roughly an hour or so. -We quickly ran over to Camp Killauee, and did this in about thirty to fourty minutes. -We went and did Slaughter House at around 10:00, and it took ten minutes. IMO, the best way to do it is start in Old Virginia and do the three there (judging by the lines of course), than do the Doll Factory, than Alien Outpost, skip Medeival Macabre (unless the line is non-existant), do Camp Killauee (make sure it's dark, this maze is amazing at night), than depending on the time hit Slaughter House. Blue Ridge Bloodbath was good when we did it a few years back, but that line is a nightmare. You are talking sending four people at a time, waiting until the clear the Scare Actors, than sending another four. Hit the mazes first, and than judge your time and look at the line for Blue Ridge, trust me.
  3. Just went Yesterday. First off, Intimidator <3, is still running amazing. Now, onto the scare zones, and the mazes... Scare Zones NOTE: These would have all been really good, but the park was so packed, so it tended to be large groups of pre-teen girls getting most of the scares. -The Harvest: 8/10, Really good scares here. -Central Stalkway: 7/10, Some good scares here, but not as good as the Harvest. -CarnEvil: 6/10, Lots of scare actors, lots of them doing nothing, but, granted they were giving some decent scares. -The Ruins; 3/10, Weakest Scare Zone of the night. Only a handful of scare actors, none of them really even scary, meh. Mazes (Missed Blue Ridge Bloodbath) -The Asylum: 9/10, My hands down favorite. Difficult to navigate, terrifying costumes, really good scares, and just overall really good. -Camp Killauee: 8/10, There were lots of people in this maze, making it difficult for scares, or so I thought. They got me REALLY good four or five times. In fact, when one of them came out with a chainsaw (which I fear more than anything) at the end, I mistakingly pinned someone behind me against the wall in my desperate attempt to flee from this terrifying torture device. -Club Blood: 7/10, The scares inside the maze were OKAY. But, in an attempt to create his own modified scare zone, one of the scare actors followed me out of the maze without my knowing, and jumped in front of me and screamed. I screamed and stumbled backwards and everyone laughed at my expense. -Alien Outpose: 7/10, Another actor followed me out of the maze, it seems I'm a popular person . He whispered in my ear and I screamed, than he chased me. The inside of the maze was OKAY. A few really good scares, but they are rather spread out. -The Doll Factory: 7/10, heard lots of wonderful things about this maze. Unfortunatley, when you are behind the world's largest group of pre-teen girls, you don't get scared so much. They did get me a few times, but overall I wish they had more scares. The last room was hands down the best room of any maze, however. -Toxic Plague: 6/10, A few good scares, that's about it. -Slaughter House: 6/10, Why did it have to be another chainsaw? A few decent scares in the maze, but than the guy with the chainsaw at the end sent me hauling ass out of there. The "Sweet Caroline" music seemed out of place, if not somewhat creepy. -Medieval Macabre: 2/10, Awful maze. I heard so many great things but, first off, the rooms were too open for any actual scares to be possible, second, the usher was letting too many people in at a time. We actually qued again in the maze, just to get through the maze. The good news is, this was the only dissapointment of the night. In Halloween fashion, I will end on a sour note. In the "Feary Tales" scare zone girl was dressed up as a dead Alice, from Alice in Wonderland. A girl, who must have been thirteen or fourteen, wound up huddled up under her mom crying. Alice, sprang up and gave her a classicscare and the girl freaked out. The mom, obviously not recognizing that it is HALLOWEEN HAUNT and that this event is not reccomended for children or those who scare easily elbowed Alice in the face, leading to a verbal exchange and eventually, to park security.
  4. Well, heading up to HAUNT tomorrow, god help me survive these lines. Went to Busch Gardens last weekend on a Sunday and Bitten was still approaching upwards of 30 minute waits at 6:15 pm Hopefully it'll be worth the time !
  5. My only point was he isn't doing anything special, I don't see why he has his own show. So he can ride some coasters? That deserves a show? I guess the dude may be a good person, but I just don't see why that warrents him having his own show.
  6. Oh wonderful. Bert the Conquerer. I was done with him as soon as I saw the Cedar Point challange. If he had to wait in line like everyone else, he wouldn't have been able to do it. The dude thinks he's freaking Jesus just because a camera follows him. I mean, how much editing does it take to make it seem like he's even done anything exciting?
  7. Blast! I must admit, my good sir, I am suspicious of your motives!
  8. Uh oh! Here comes the MS Paint entry! Muhahahaha, beware my powas! Front Back
  9. That's it folks. This one's over. Thank you very much for playing.
  10. Oh boy, here come the dumb lawsuits for like millions of dollars or something. Theme parks have become such a liability in the modern day. Every single accident causes for a lawsuit. Here we got our first one already. I love how he's demanding answers. I didn't think the concept of your train not making it over the hill required a chemical engineering degree to figure out. Anyways, here's the story & the link: http://www.theepochtimes.com/n2/content/view/44359/
  11. I just hope whoever, if anybody, gets it keeps it the small, classical, charming park it is now. AKA: No Six Flags/Cedar Pointification of the park.
  12. Yay for failed general public logic! "th3 c0aster has a l00p, it must b3 b3tt3r!"
  13. Like Busch Gardens long or like long in a sense relative to Kings Dominion. I mean, the only line in that park I have ever seen get unbearable is Volcano which occurs on days of the week ending in y. Oh well, play it by ear I guess. I mostly just care about the HAUNT stuff in particular "The Doll Factory" and "Camp Killauee".
  14. I have never been to KD when it's been too terribly crowded, however, I haven't gone to HAUNT in a few years either. So... what will the lines be like this Saturday?
  15. Is that all? I don't understand what you mean by this statement? I too would love to do all sorts of fun and exciting things with NFL Cheerleaders. Gawsh, NFL Cheerleaders, I don't even know where to start! We could start by riding Kumba, I mean, that's a pretty sexy coaster. Than I still need my credit from the new Sesame Street Safari so we could all go there for a bit. I suppose we could than ride Shiekra, that coaster is the sexiest thing in that park. Oh! Than we could ride my favorite piece of rough wood... Gwazi is pretty rough after all. Oh! And take lots of revealing pictures! I would just love to reveal what Busch Gardens is going to be doing with Cheetah Hunt! After that I suppose they'd go back to Tampa Bay and I'd hit up Disney or something, I don't know...
  16. There was a girl in front of us who screamed at every slightest movement. She ran away from one person, and than another person jumped at her and she kept running. It was quite funny to watch actually...
  17. Just got back from a long day at HOS. Breakdown is as followed: Howl-O-Scream was awesome. While the park was not as decorated as SFA, it had some pretty neat decorations. Anyways, this is the breakdown of what we did today: FrankenRock: 3/5. It was a fun show, but the audio quality was lacking a bit. They need to turn up the mics, or soften the insturments, or something. It was good, just not great. Monster Stomp Revamped: 5/5. Good, funny, overall fun. Very good show. Onto the mazes: Catacombs: 5/5. Did this twice, both times were VERY frightening. It's a great maze with some awesome scares. To add to this is the fact it is beyond impossible to see the proper pathway in this maze. This was hands down the second best maze of the day and a must do at HOS. The only complaint is, it wasn't very long . Bitten: 5/5. HAND DOWN THE BEST MAZE! This maze was simply horrifying. I was screaming around every corner. The constant screams, loud noises, and even the more subtle scares who aren't, are still terrfying. This maze was long, scary, and really good. The best maze at HOS, but also the most crowded. Revenge of Pompeii: 4/5. To start with the bad, the scares are few and far between. However, the scares are REALLY good. All the actors blend right in with the surrondings, and this provided for some awesome scares! It was just about the right length, and overall a pretty good maze. Hunted: 3/5. This maze was fairly weak. There were a few good scares, but overall this might be one that's skippable. Honestly it's just lacking something. It's short, it's not as scary as the other three indoor mazes, and it's just in my opinion, the let down of this years event. Harvest Hollow: 2/5. You have to exit Hunted through this area. One or two decent scares, but overall it's just a longer walk back to the main path. Cursed: 1/5. This was terrible. No good scares. Oh wait, my bad. I was pretty horrifyed at thought of blinding myself in thouse god awful strobe lights. Not even worth the time.
  18. ^^Again, has your internet been down for the past year. Six Flags America DID HAVE AN ADDITION THIS YEAR. Just because it wasn't a 200 foot coaster doesn't mean the park is being neglected. Do they need a new THRILL ride? Yes, but they are not neglected. Edited for clarification issures
  19. ^^Because SFA doesn't have good rides? Because Superman, Batwing, Wild One, PBR, Skull Mountain, and so forth are not good rides? Hell even just Superman and Wild One are worth the trip at least once a year. It's certainly not a pak that's the same caliber as KD or BGW, but that doesn't mean you and your army of KD Fanboys need to contantly remind us how much you despise Six Flags America.
  20. 1. Bizarro (SFNE) 2. El Toro (GADV) 3. Intimidator - 305 (KD) 4. Nitro (GADV) 5. Apollo's Charriot (BGW) 6. Montu (BGT) 7. Superman: Ride of Steel (SFA) 9. Wild One (SFA) 10. Griffon (BGW)
  21. Okay so I have a few minutes (PSATs SUCK) so let me type up the TR: First things first, I love the decorations. There isn't a place in the park (with the exception of Thomas Town) that lacks a pumpkin, or a cleaverly placed gravestone, or some eerie cobwebs. Onto the one ride I did ride, SROS, that was running incredibly well in my opinion. Now, onto the "Fright Fest" activities: Magic of the Night: 4/10. The large majority of his tricks were easily recognizable, really nothing special. However, he was certainly great with the audience. Circus of Lost Souls: 7/10. Don't get me wrong, this ride was GREAT! What wasn't great, was that it broke down for over an hour and a half. The story was also somewhat hard to follow. Something about a demented circus, rednecks, and hypnotism. The train ride was pretty neat, but not too terrifying. The Freak Show was... pretty freaky. The Trail of Terror was pretty good/scary. I have now deduced from a combination of logic, memories of the maze, and nightmares that nothing is more horrifying than a clown chasing after you with a chain-saw. Scare Actors: 9/10. Unlike other parks with "Scare-Zones" Six Flags has a handful of seemingly random Scare Actors. Some are better than others, but the best was an actor dressed up in wierd black Harry-Potter Esque robes. He wound sit on a rock or some sort and than literally pounce and slide on the ground. It was pretty funny to see people freak out when he screamed... from right by their feet. Well, the train being broken killed most of our night, so no Bride of Terror for me . But what I did experience was really good. It was certainly a lot more than I was expecting from Six Flags tbh.
  22. I did, the train was really good! I got scared towards the end of the "woods" and screamed so loud I think the entire park heard it
  23. Bravo to these people! You know it's people like this we can trust with our money. Let's ignore the obvious lack of proffreading, because we all make mistakes right? The fact that they can stand up to the obvious injustice of this total scam site is incredible! I mean everyone KNOWS there is no such thing as joking in the cut-throat world of Amusment Parks. So let's all give a round of applause to this successful campaign. With only 318 users active at the present time I think we can chalk this one up as a complete and total success. Guys, they may not have a plan, or any background with the industry, they may be resorting to name-calling rather than foccusing on any single one of their issues, they may be making false Twitter and Facebook accounts, instead of ones dedicated to their cause, but they have determination. After all, who need's more than pure determination? After all, it's just finding the intruments to remove nails from wood!
  24. With the exception of 2007, Six Flags America has recieved a new addition every other year. A major addition? No. But nevertheless, they have recieved additions to the park. So, hopefully next year we can get a moderate sized roller coaster (maybe a wild mouse?) And second, I don't understand your logic... You'll come back when Six Flags adds a major addition, but it doesn't necessarily have to be good? I personally feel a small, compact, family coaster, something like a Wild Mouse, or the "Pandemonium" coasters Six Flags embraced for the past five or so years, would be a nice fit for the park. But if you are looking for a "major addition" year after year, you obviously need to continue having an orgasm over KD "continuing to add rides on a yearly basis. sp0ng3b0b 3-d! Suck-it SFA!!!!111!!1!"
  25. Oh my god. You know, some people idolize lawyers, some doctors, some people idolize "important people" like Ghandi. You, however are my hero.
