  1. ^^ He only understands the posts that agree with his fantasies that Six Flags America will add about thirty coasters over the next two-three years. After all, those monsters at Six Flags removed a coaster, without immediatly replacing it with something 5x the size and cost.
  2. Nice TR! I have watched Clementon for a while. If they can somehow add another coaster to the park, I might make a side-trip from GADV to Clementon, but as of now, it just looks like a big Carnival .
  3. Maybe it's rude employees causing attendence problems. Then again, there's always the rabid fox problem they appear to have had. http://www.gazette.net/stories/07082010/landnew175949_32549.php
  4. Six Flags America doesn't have the crowds to support the cause for several new coasters. SFA will get love from the higher-ups, when it gets love from the GP. And as additions go, Just taking a look back at the decade: -2010: Thomas Town. A great new area with a handful of new rides, mainly for the young ones. -2008: Tony Hawk's Half Pipe Slide -2005: Waterpark overhaul -2003: Penguin's Blizzard River. -2001: Sky Coaster & Batwing -2000: Superman: Ride of Steel Yes, i'll agree that SFA isn't getting the same treatment some of the other Six Flags Parks are, but why should it? This is, to most people, the worst the Six Flags chain has to offer. They ARE getting back on the right track, but they just aren't in the position to be recieving major additions every year.
  5. Was at the park July 2nd: -Grizzly is horible. I came off with massive headache. My ride wasn't as bad as Hurler, but it was pretty awful. -Hurler is still god awful, even with the tiny pop of airtime it gave. -Dominator was pretty bad. -Volcano had a pretty decent period of down-time to absolutley nobody's suprise, but I got the front row as a reward for waiting... which was awesome. -Intimidator is hands down the best damn coasters I've ridden. The airtime is amazing, I greyed out 4 of the 5 times I rode it. Trims or no trims this coastr is amazing, and a top 10 in my books. On a pretty interesting note I got stuck in one of the water slides, and I had to push myself along to the end of it. It was pretty akward.
  6. It's a conspiracy!! Ever since this rumor started spreading, suddenly everybody is sad to see GASM going, andgetting last rides in and so forth.
  7. Oh no! I have to get there quick so I can use my extremley nerdy Coaster joke! "What should we ride, Bizarro or GASM?"
  8. Oh no! Where else will I get my daily fill of entertainment?! "We weren't using that office, so why should I pay for it? We all saw it coming."
  9. Just curious, is there anyone left who has NOT made a sponsorship deal with Six Flags?
  10. ^Oh yeah. ROAR needs some major help. It is quickly becoming a really rough coaster. It was by far one of the roughest coasters I've ever been on last I rode it (May, 2010).
  11. You're missing the point here. That same money could be going to enclose Joker's Jinx, or turn Gotham City Arena into an indoor Wild Mouse coaster. Priorities are key.
  12. I always liked theme, thus I always liked the Universal Coasters (with the exception of Rip Ride Rock It). What good is it to name a coaster with some crazy name such as "Stallion" if the que is simply a que. Essentially, as crazy as this may sound, I like rides that tell a story.
  13. My first Photo TR, hope it's decent or at least OKAy. Hope you guys can help me improve for the future . Visited the Chesapeake Jubilee AKA: Ghetto Fair yesterday. Nealry died, but more on that later. It was fun, there were three credits... but I only got one of them because it was incredibly busy. One of the game hecklers... excuse me "vendors" caused some tension, and pretty much was the only bad part of the day. One of our group members, my friend, had decided to play the "Goldfish Game" and I asked "If we win, can you watch the goldfish until the end of the day?" He pointed me to the sign saying "We babysit goldfish!" which I had not noticed. Then he took it a step further to say "What you didn't see that? Do you wear a helmet on Sundays little guy? First time out by yourself? Be careful... don't trip over an invisible rock." So needless to say we alerted the staff running the fair, but since it was a Ghetto Fair, nobody cared. But what better way to spend a Saturday than with potentially dangerous food and rides? The TR: The first stop: to see the concerts. Unfortunatley, the band playing at this time was AWFUL! The only credit for me . That's okay though, this one was scary enough. NOTE: there are no brakes on this ride at the station, the ride op simply grabs the car and pushes it. Oh wow, this coaster is called "Avalanche"... how creative. Oh my gosh! A Mardi Gras funhouse/mirror maze! You only see these at like every traveling Ghetto Fair! A lame attempt at a scary "dark ride". All future carnies note: A black canvas room, with sounds and noises such as a police siren is not the least bit scary. The Crazy Mouse spinning coaster, which sported a 2 hour wait all day. When it's 90 degrees outside, staning 2 hours for a generic spinning mouse coaster isn't exactly "fun". A ferris wheel, which also sported really long waits all day long. The midway with the "Ring of Fire" ride I nearly died on. You see, they had put the restraints down. They then started up the ride. The next thing I know one ride op is yelling "STOP! STOP THE RIDE!" In true ghetto fair fashion, they had put the restraints down... then forgot to lock them... all of them. "Willy the Bull" who had perhaps the MOST annoying broadcaster. I don't even think he was using real words half the time. The world's longest "Tilt-A-Whirl" ride. This ride literally lasted like 3-4 minutes. Oh my gosh, could it be?! ZOMG it is! A Wacky Worm! However, I will not reduce myself to some shameless padding of my credit count... (because I wasn't allowed...) What is this!? Quick! Somebody alert Disney's team of lawyers! Safe for Kids? This thing isn't safe for anybody pure and innocent, let alone kids! And finally, the Jubilee illuminated in the distance. Hope you enjoyed.
  14. Nice TR. Gosh, Batwing isn't the greatest coaster, nor a very good coaster at that, but I thought it was okay.
  15. You could have saved the sexual innuendo and just said a dark ride... www.dafe.org
  16. My home park is BGW and I enjoy Apollo's Charriot(yes, more than Griffon).
  17. some might say for the themed stand-up that they were supposed to get It's all part of the master plan, of course.
  18. Roar was running on a new level of rough when I visited two weeks ago. I have heard such great things about that ride, but the only one made happy by my ride on that coaster was my credit count(which is still mediocre) and my chiropractor.
  19. I said probable, not possible. Anything is possible, but not everything is probable. Thanks for the link, that coaster looks insane .
  20. ^^ That would be incredibly dangerous, time consuming, and highly improbable. Don't believe everything your friends say .
  21. Oh she was drunk? I never would have guessed! "I swear to drunk I'm not god officer!"
