I see a number of celebrities through work, and it's cool, but I'm much more numb to it now than I used to be. However, a few weeks ago in Phoenix, I totally flipped out when I met the Excellence of Execution himself, Bret "Hitman" Hart. I don't follow wrestling anymore, but when I was a little kid I regularly dressed like this around the house. I have a related question... How did the slc model become THE slc model? Does Vekoma say we're going to engineer a standard layout for you to buy off the shelf? Or does a company like Six Flags buy one, like it and decide to buy more of the same?

^Agreed. I'm sick of this soap opera, As the Flying Turns. Watching it isn't worth the drama. Sure, the coaster will be a novelty, complimenting Knoebels and the park's classic nature. However, it's not like they're constructing Voyage 2.0.

^With Diamonback, I think the park filled its one and only gaping hole. A modern woodie would be nice, but the park will probably avoid anything wooden in the near future due to the failure of SoB. In fact, I'd bet money that nothing wooden will EVER be built in the footprints of SoB due to the GP's tendency to confuse wooden roller coasters (Ex. Psyclone is Terminator Salvation). Unless, they name it Smooth and Cuddly Grandchild of Beast . That might help

So, I'm thinking about this trip, but there's no way I could convince any friends to fly from the east coast. Is this the type of experience/trip where you would recommend having someone you know along side you? Or can you have a good time either way??
