New for 2012.... Black Widow, a Zamperla Giant Discovery (as expected by many)! Official press release with the ride details here. Ride height: 90' Maximum swing height: 146' Capacity of 40 riders per cycle Has anyone been on one of these? To me, they look to be potentially more fun than a Huss Giant Frisbee. Any truth to that? ADMIN EDIT: I went ahead and copied the press release so people didn't have to jump to see it. Thanks for sharing this with us! -

There were flyers there at one point, yes. Whatever is going in Pitt Fall's spot is larger than Swing Around, though, based on the markers I've seen. -

Yes, we do know it's not Huss because Kennywood confirmed to me (Kennywood Connection) on 11/29 that it will not be Huss and I posted it on our forums. I guess someone on our forums emailed Lance about it. We should be heading out to the park to get some pictures / video when they do take the tower down. In other news, Kennywood Connection was at the Holiday Lights preview night last night... and I don't think it will disappoint! We've posted a bunch of pictures as well as a short video of one of two 15 minute light shows they'll be showing. They will alternate every 30 minutes. Pictures: Video: -

Very awesome tour... thanks guys! On the topic of the chain lift from a couple pages back, do we actually know that the chain lift on this thing will be as slow as the "normal" B&M chain lifts? This is their first coaster of this kind, after all... so why not their first "faster" lift to go along with it! You'd think they would want it to be quicker anyways to keep the ride capacity reasonable. One other question thing not specific to Leviathan but somewhat related... why does B&M always have the "fence" under the lift and brake runs? It is for safety to catch someone in the unfortunate event they might fall during an evacuation? No other manufacturer does this, correct? -

They're working here. Your work's Internet filter is likely blocking the images that are coming from Facebook (most of the ones in this thread, at least). -

It was sold to a park in another country somewhere. There is lots of speculation as to what the new ride may be... many think a Frisbee type ride. Nothing has been confirmed yet. -

The crane isn't scheduled to show up until after Thanksgiving. There are also many markings and some stakes on the ground around Pitt Fall for the new ride. Adam, what is that ride in the picture? -

^ Well, that's the angle of the descent... the lift definitely isn't that high of an angle. http://leviathan.canadaswonderland.com/public/ride/statistics.cfm ^^ EDIT: Sorry, misread your question. Ignore me. -

Dom497, sounds good to me! Also, on the discussion of what the height of the first drop will end up being...to me it looks like the trench ends up making the top of the track at the bottom of the first drop almost exactly even with ground level. Just a thought. -

Pretty sure that's a large part of it. They have to call maintenance to that ride at least once a day for issues. I was on the next-to-last run of Pitt Fall last night (and a bunch before that). Had a good time! Can't wait to hear what will replace it.
