Finally watched Big Hero 6 today. Great movie, really enjoyed it! Baymax was awesome! Oh, and so many opportunities for a Transformers-style dark ride...

And set it to maximum power and have it fly off the top RCT-style for a true rapture-experience!

That is nice touch, very funny! Yes, it has been done before, but nothing wrong with more parks doing it. You can see a vertical board behind the horizontal boards which is holding it together.

Alright, got my flight tickets booked. I will arrive in Orlando in the evening on May 4th and I'm going back in the evening on May 14th. It's too early to plan a park schedule, but when it gets closer to departure I will definately contact everyone who has expressed interest in meeting up! Current excitement level.....about 1000!!

Hello everyone, It has only been 4 months since I returned from my previous (and first) trip to Orlando, but already I’m dying to go back. Right now I’m planning a trip in the first half of May. From what I have been able to figure so far this should be a good time of the year to visit, both in terms of weather and crowds. Dates are not settled yet, but I’m currently looking at 4th -14th of May. Since I did all the parks last time I might not do all of them this time. Disney is an absolute must for me, Universal is also pretty much certain. A trip out to Tampa would also be quite likely... Now this is where all of you fine people come into the picture. You see, I will be taking this trip by myself....alone. And while I’m perfectly fine with spending time alone, I would also love to meet up with people. So therefore I’m reaching out to all of you. It could be anything from going to one of the parks, having a dinner or going out for a couple of beers in the evening. Obviously there is absolutely no commitment in saying at this point in time that youre interested. However as I would have to book in near future it would be good to know the level of interest. I also always appriciate reccomendations for accomodation. Right now I’m getting a really good price on Best Western Lake Buena Vista. Standard seems good, and walking distance to Downtown Disney is always a big plus. Would love to stay at one of the Disney resorts, but that is unfortunately a bit too expensive for me. So if anyone would be interested in meeting up, or have any advice to give to a solo traveller, please feel free to give me a shout. It is not settled yet, but I do consider it very likely and I would be very dissappointed if it were not too happen...

Distance definately plays a part in it for me, as Tusenfryd is 300 miles away and that is a 7-hour drive on Norwegian mountain roads. Distance aside, I still don't feel much desire to go back. It's not a bad park, and it has a couple of good attractions, but the whole package of rides, food and atmosphere just isn't there for me. I'm currently averaging on one visit every second year, the last one in 2013, and to be honest the only thing pulling me back next year will be whatever they do with Thundercoaster..

Its good to hear that Thundercoaster has been running well, I havent been on it in over a year and a half. By the way, Busch Gardens have a couple of trains they wont need in a couple of weeks... You are definately making it sound like its going to be more than just new trains/retracking. Could we perhaps be seeing an inversion of some sort??

While I would not mind a RMC makeover, I do not consider it necessary for Thundercoaster as it has been for some of the other coasters. Its one of only two major rollercoasters in Norway and its still popular. I would prefer if they put such an investment into a new rollercoaster. Besides Tusenfryd writes on Facebook "coming in 2015" so anything spectacular should not be expected.

Very interesting, wonder what it could be.... new trains perhaps?? GCI has done quite a bit of retracking on Thundercoaster over the years so I wouldnt be surprised to see GCI trains installed.

I love the classic log flume rides, and I almost always ride them unless the ride is very long. Both Liseberg and Djurs Sommarland have excellent log flumes. I also have a little bit of a soft spot for Loopen at Tusenfryd. Its not too rough in the backseat. Of course it also holds somewhat of a sentimental value as it was the only major coaster in Norway from when it opened in 1988 until Thundercoaster opened in 2001. Still I would not be sad if it closed, but I always ride it when I visit the park. Can we list rides that are not opened yet? I can almost guarantee that the new Frozen ride at EPCOT will be on my list...

Now I'm picturing all the Disney princesses dressed as nurses. Can't really say I dislike that idea...
