  1. I will be there on August 9-10th, and not having an opening day yet is starting to make me a little nervous. Now, Liseberg is a fantastic park and I would easily be able to have a ton of fun even if Valkyria would not be open, but at the same time it would definitely suck to see the ride and not be able to ride it. Oh, and I'm really happy to hear about the single rider line!
  2. Please please please please please please please please please please be open by August 9th!!!
  3. Wow that looks brutal!! Great video though! I really like backseat POVs with mounted camera, it really shows how the train is moving through the elements. And for this particular ride it works REALLY well!
  4. I will definitely watch the next movie when it comes out, as I am a big fan of the franchise. Just have to make sure not to watch the trailers, as they give away so much of the movies these days. I never watched the final trailer for Fallen Kingdom, but just for fun I just watched it now and it basically shows you 90% of the movie in two and a half minute. I agree that the movie was quite well directed, but as you say the problem lies with the script. I felt that I was watching a movie that contained dinosaurs rather than watching a JP movie. Yes, Jurassic World had a lot of dumb moments in it, but it was still fun and it managed to capture some of the JP spirit, and that I felt was completely lacking in JW:FK. And speaking of the next movie, I'm just wondering what they're going to do with it. I just feel that what Fallen Kingdom ended with isn't that much of a threat. Yes, of course it will cause a bit of chaos and destruction, but trying to make it sound like a major threat to humanity?? I just don't see it, so they have to come up with something clever here...
  5. Just watched the remake of IT on Netflix, and I must say that I really enjoyed it. I have watched the original miniseries, but that was atleast 15 years ago so I only remember bits and pieces of it. I didn't find this new version very scary, but I still think it was very well made and I had a great time watching it. The last new movie I watched was Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom about a month ago, and boy I did not enjoy this movie. I'm a huge JP fan, but for me it was a very dissappointing experience, despite going in with low expectations. When watching a JP movie I can always accept a certain 'suspension of disbelief', but this movie had me physically facepalming at times...
  6. Wow $119 for that is a really good price, considering it's basically 3 hours of ERT! Looks totally worth it to me!
  7. Ink & Dagger Modern Day IPA from Amundsen Brewery, one of mye favorite Norwegian breweries. Great beer this one!
  8. Liseberg August 9-10th. Can't wait to ride Valkyria! Hoping there will not be any further delays...
  9. Great pictures Marcus! I love the last shot from the hill, looks very different compared to when Kanonen was standing in the same spot. I must also say that I think the layout of this ride looks absolutely fantastic! Possibly the best dive coaster layout to date??
  10. ^Thanks, you too! I never book a trip around opening day of a new ride myself either, too many things that can go wrong. Always best to wait a week or three.
  11. ^I booked a trip to Gothenburg on August 9-10th. Can't wait to ride this!
  12. Valkyria is testing!! Video from Lisebergs facebook page. [fbvideonew] [/fbvideonew]
  13. It is so difficult to get into "sleeping mode" when it's 11:10 PM and it looks like this outside...
  14. That's an awesome animation! Not long left now. I'm starting to plan a visit in August, so excited for this addition to one of my favorite parks!
  15. While I have never liked wasps, I have a bit of a strained relationship with them after I was stung by one last autumn. If I had been aggressive or waving my arms or whatever it would have been "fine", but I was sitting outside in my chair, sitting completely still, and out of absolutely nowhere I felt a sudden stinging sensation in my neck. Not that it was extremely painful or anything, though I definitely felt it for a few hours, but just the completely unprovoked attack really pissed me off!!
  16. Dear wasps aka assholes with wings!! Please stay out of my apartment. I will kill you if you come inside! I already got four of you this weekend and I will not hesitate to kill again! Thank you!
  17. That's great news! I hope to make it back to Liseberg either late summer or early autumn.

  21. Well, it was on May 31st so I guess technically it was last month, but whatever... For me, it was Krake @ Heide Park. Yes, it's an extremely short ride, but I was surprised by how powerful the drop was on such a small ride. While Flug der Dämonen might actually be the better ride, I didn't enjoy it at all as every inversion made me feel very dizzy. I think it's probably because it was very hot and I was getting dehydrated, so I'm not going to make any conclusion that it's not a great ride and a lot of people seem to enjoy it very much. I think it was just down to the circumstances that day...
  22. Hirschbräu Doppel-Hirsch Dunkler Doppelbock 7,2% ABV. I brought this one back with me from Germany as on the label it said "World Beer Cup Gold Award 2012". While not quite my favorite style of beer, I'd still say it was rather good.
