  2. Here was my coaster progression... The shorter the better. Most children are afraid of heights. Start them out on the short stuff... Take KD for example. Start them on something like, Antique Cars, then progess to a more thrill but not tall ride like Scrambler. Children don't mind "fast" too much. but they do mind height. Now, you move them on to bigger things, Taxi Jam and Ghoster Coaster, They may be scared at first but after they realize that this ride is nothing more than more height, they will enjoy it. Avalanche is also a great stepping stone coaster due to its duel rider seats and small and short layout. Now since they will ride the little woodie, I would say its best to transition them to the big woodie. FIrst take them on Rebel Yell. They can see the entire layout. Then if they like it, take them to Hurler and Grizzly. Once your children have mature in these coasters, Backlot would be the next step. It's not tall, but it has surprises and may scare the children with its launch. If you can get them comfortable, the next step would be to break their fear of the "big coasters." The best coasters for that would be Anaconda or Shockwave (if they are tall enough to ride either.) Both experiences can be thrilling. Finally, to finish off their coaster phobia, take them on Dominator, its open, the layout can be seen and the restraints are large enough to give assurance. Once you get them comfortable to ride it, Flight of Fear and Volcano can be next. I305, I would leave for last due to its height.
  3. Just saw Salt. I will now begin begging for a sequel.
  4. After seeing this update, this coaster actually has a B&Mish feel to it.
  5. WHt also makes me curious about this coaster is the fact that it is 'different' it will make this park even more interesting. Parks are never popular through just success (though I am not calling this a failure.) I like the fact this is not a cookie cutter B&M. Question though: Are those overbanks counted as inversions? If so then this is a 4 inversion coaster, if not... only 2... Still cool. The only issue I have with this coaster is the name is... unsettling... I'm suprised the staff of SFSC and SFI decided to continue with the original name instead of opting for a less biased, controversial name... (Banshee would had been awesome!
  6. What I believe he is refering to is the Un-B&Mish layout it has... We all have opinions. I think its different in its own good way!
  7. Question for query. I find myself at a theme park impasse. I am working on finishing my last touches on my next creation (which will be epic, preview pic below), and am searching for another project idea. Please give me some ideas or tell what I should do. Coming Soon
  8. ^ I only posted this to compare with a normal development storyline (i.e. as if the Floorless wasn't invented until 1999)
  9. After recent tweets, The next coaster coming to SFSC will not be "standing." What we know: It's a B&M. It's under 200ft. It cannot be a Floorless nor a Hyper (as both of which were not introduced until 1999). We can deduce since it is not a Stand-up that it is a standard looper similar to Dragon Khan and Kumba. Usual for SFI.
  10. ^The markers by BBW's first lift are few and sparing. I wouldn't regard them for anything...
  11. I went to the park today to have a last trip for the summer... Markers are popping around Katapult. There are two, #4 & #5 inside the ride area and a few red dots in a line and an orange dot... outside the ride closer to the Waveswinger, is #3. They form a weird triangle. there are a few Blue dots in a row next to #3. I got on last ride on Katapult, I don't think it will be there come October. Also, I saw a few orange flags/markers pop up around the BBW ride area (seen from the queue of Autobuan)
  12. I think we are getting that B&M Standup finally! That teaser photo is cool.
  13. Honestly, these types of questions are so well covered in the "Readme" files of the downloads and on the Atari Forums, you should go there first. Same as above. None of these .rar files have README files... I wish they did.
  14. ^ If KD gets anything it will be a new show in the KD Theater, Snoopy's Hot Summer Nights (or Snoopy's Starlight Spectacular), and a dismal chance of a new show at the Action Theater... Flat rides? probably not.
  15. The Project Name "SFSC1998" is kinda cool. Makes me think of SW7... As for the new coaster... I'm thinking that its a fair chance this is Premier... Or It could be B&M...
  16. One issue that I know of was that Hypersonic ran on helicopter tires... which never held up more than a 30 or more cycles before going flat... And the launch system itself... anybody who's anybody has seen a Hypersonic rollback...
  17. I think we'll be seeing a modified version of Mr. Freeze (to keep it under 200 ft) or a FOF outdoor clone (since two of these have been built at SFI Parks...
  18. KD has alot of Hotels to choose from... Ofcourse there is the On-Site Best Western with a Denny's! The Campground (Camp Wildreness) and three other hotels... (Days Inn, Holiday Inn, ...?)
  19. Yes. Hypersonic was removed after the 2007 season after it had been plague with various mechanical issues from the launch system to the helicopter tires it used for wheels. (great job S&S) The park was draining droves of cash into keeping the ride operational. Hypersonic was put up for sale before its deconstruction but due to it receiving no offers, Hypersonic was "ripped" down and placed behind the Hurler and Grizzly in a spare lot waiting for the economically low raw steel prices to rise. This past May, the ride was removed for final scrapping. Only a few scattered supports were left (to my knowledge). Hypersonic is gone. Respect that Fact. For those thinking that XLC could had been salvaged, Like I said, when she was removed, they ripped the ride apart taking no care into making it resell-able. The only part of Hypersonic that survived (that I heard) was the launch system which was purchased back by S&S.
  20. Interesting motive for a park... Alot on a small space... Lookin' Good
  21. Very Nice park! Question, what CS did you use for the loops of Greezed Lightning
  22. I've worked on a few things including a GCI Mountain Coaster but it has turn into a nightmare of a project... Same for a Maverick remake... (which I might revisit). Right now I have a few projects in mind and in the works... I have found my old Adventure Mountain park's timeline pics... And I have a few parks in the works... Look for much from me in the next few weeks and keep an eye on the Preview thread for previews before I post my first complete mega park.
  23. Some completed and uncompleted work... An Arrow Corkscrew A PTC Out and Back Lift Hill Shot The White Lightning at Night
  24. Today, I would like to give you the exciting news that upon further investigation of my hard drive, the original screen prints of Adventure Mountain have been found... Expect it to return soon.
  25. I can imagine the removal of Sea Dragon for StratoSoar... Trivoli's Starflyer footprint
