^ Same here. I've never ridden Voyage. Last time at Holiday World was 2003 I think... I'm in the same boat and i'll more than likely visit on opening day!

i guess... I was planning on being there opening day however I never rode Voyage in its original form so...

Does anyone think this park will be crowded on Sunday 4-18?!

^ i see what you mean especially on the drops off both the lifts. I do stand corrected but in you're video the train is moving MUCH faster. I wish we could compare the loadout of both the trains cause their are riders in both videos cause you can hear voices. However, their's no one in line so both videos may have minimally loaded trains.

^ Beast was neutered from the start! The trims used to be skid brakes. Now their magnetic. The magnetic brakes hit harder for a shorter period of time which is why people complain. They can really be felt compared to the skid brakes especially on the drops. However the overall speed that is obtained is the same except the skid brakes aren't as effective as the magnetic brakes. Beast only tens to crawl when their aren't many people riding IMO. Also i had an absolutely epic ride on the Breast during a thunderstorm during Halloween Haunt 2009! Smooth, fast, out of control, lightning everywhere, EPIC!!! This is an early video of the Beast, empty old trains with buzzbars, crawls, and has skid trims! I've also seen a video that i couldn't find from park managers around 1978-1979 explaining how they decided to fire it up one rainy night after it was just built before the trims were installed and rode it! The train moved so fast they thought the train blasted through the wall of the first tunnel and the whole ride scared the pee out of them all!!! Also I believe the Beast would tear itself apart without trims do to the lack of banking or low degree of banking on alot of turns. If the Beast was never trimmed, I doubt it would still be standing today.

^^^, ^^^^ Is this park really that hood?! Do people do these things (run around screaming how much money they have, leave valuable electronics out in their car with the doors unlocked etc...) at other parks and its safe to do so?! I remove valuable electronics and lock my doors even at any parks preferred or VIP parking area!

When I drive on Dixie and see this place, it always makes my heart drop! I've heard plenty scary @$$ of stories from people that sneak in, people that went on those tours, and individuals that work security! However the haunted house they set up during October SUX!!! it takes away the TRUE spookiness from Waverly! To experience something truly scary at that place legally, one MUST take a tour or work there!

I got one... I think it was either 2003 or 2004 when Greezed Lightnin at SFKK was down, since I knew it broke down every 30 minutes anyway, I waited in line while everybody else left! When maintenance arrived, they tinkered at the control panel for a moment. I was in line for the rear so I was watching him and he looked up and asked me "do you live in the little carrot house in the kids area cause I SWEAR I SEE YOU HERE EVERY DAY!!!" Doctor "biggest geek ever" Doom!!!

I used to go to parks all the time by myself! This year I doubt anyone will want to go to Holiday World on Derby, so I will probably be there by myself! I've been on every ride at SFKK multiple times by myself!!!

Holiday World's opening day is Kentucky Derby day!!! Does the park get crowded on the 1st Saturday of May?! How about the Sunday afterwards?!

I believe that IF a new operator comes in, SF will negotiate a deal to sell the 20 acres that they actually own and the rides on that 20 acres (T2, Blizzard River etc...) to the new operators. Which is why they won't touch anything till then!

^ I think some SF parks have a twilight sale. SFKK used to have cheaper admission after 5 or 6. Dont know about the others. Whats this i keep hearing about fluffy bunnies filled with medicine and goo?! Its really starting to weird me out!!!

There's also "soft" openings before media day where the park may open the ride for about an hour or so on a regular operating day and you can ride before the official opening day if you're lucky enough to be in the park at the time! Seen this happen with Greezed Lightnin' at SFKK! Media day was Thursday and my English teacher got me and another one of my classmates in (Park closed to GP!) However I was at SFKK the previous Sunday and the ride was open from 5pm to closing (6pm) and I was sitting in the front of the first public cycle (in Kentucky)! Never seen the ride operated (in Kentucky) before this day (the train was always not in the station if even on the tracks)! However on Thursday, the ride was broken down when we arrived for a good chunk of time due to a blown fuse (as was stated by the news) but other than that, Media day wasn't that bad! Only the rides around Greezed Lightnin was open but one could ride Skycoaster for free!!!

I'm not trying to scare anyone but didn't Steel Dragon 2000 have a wheel assembly failure that left it SBNO for around about 3 years?! This hasn't happened to any of the Intamin Hypers or Gigas, but has happened to a couple of Morgan coasters, including Wild Thing and the aformentioned Steel Dragon 2000!

Wow!!! Thats the normal speed I drive on the highway!!! I would feel bad if everyone around me wasn't going the same speed if not faster, especially outside of city limits! However, i'm not scared of Heights on a coaster, but I am scared of LADDERS!!! Also i'm not too fond of steps that one can see thru!!! Doctor "Scariest part of any coaster is the steps that led to and from Chang's station" Doom!!!
