Next time you go to the park go to LJ's old spot and look at Gold Rusher's track- then start looking up and to the left under the restaurant and you will see what looks like a square shaped opening, that is the tunnel. Then on the path to Superman near the restaurant look on the other side down the hill from the path and you will see the other end of the tunnel. The 'park official' confronted you about the coaster and its details then gave you details? Why would he/she/it confront you about it and why would a supposed park official spill that kind of info when they have done a pretty good job keeping it secret- and, why would they tell you this stuff? Something there does not make sense, just trying to understand.

Parks start construction all the time before they actually announce the ride. California's Great America is an example there. It's a perfect example. The construction is moving along nicely with one turn almost completely done and no announcement yet, just some teasers which is more than MM seems to be doing.

I noticed last week the audio was working for the most part on both trains but when I rode my speaker did not work and only one flamethrower was working. I will say it was the best ride I have ever had on X or X2 as I kept my head back and my legs pulled in, I barely got bounced around at all, finally an enjoyable ride on this thing.

Comparing MR to Greezed Lightnin (Tidal Wave at CGA), I noticed a couple of interesting things... - The launch was more intense than the weight drop version - On the reverse travel back through the station, it was barely trimmed at all! This was awesome because the train was allowed to go up pretty high on the reverse spike. On Tidal Wave it was always heavily trimmed and the train did not travel very high up on the reverse spike. If Knott's can keep this ride running this way for many more years or decades then it will still easily be a very very good ride.

I don't know why people are worried about what they put in next. There is a 99% chance that it will be a great addition to the park and be thrilling and fun, and, fit nicely. And even if it falls to that 1% it will still be a very good addition. If I was everyone I would not worry about it, just be excited to see what they do next. The park will still be beautiful just with another thrill. From my recent visit I just have to say running ONE BOAT on Perilous Plunge totally sucks.

Mechanical problems, a few accidents and a death, lead to its removal. WW sits just past where the final helix of Whizzer was (in one of the construction pics you can see the final helix footers before they got removed and the area dug up). I loved that ride, it was one of the very first roller coasters I ever rode.

I apologize for hating on GR but it was just awful for me. I wish it would have been better. Silver Bullet was a lot of fun ans the park as a whole was just, the only word I can think of is incredible. Really neat park especially at night and ghost town was really cool with the train and the cowboys scaring people.

I just went on Ghostrider and never ever have I felt like a ride was going to fly apart. It was like the train was jumping around and hydroplaning everywhere. It was the biggest, roughest, piece of s**t I have ever been on. Omg awful and I never say that about any ride. But the fried chicken dinner was Sooo good.

So I visited the park for the first rime in 30 years and I really liked it. MR is still awesome and I loved Xcelerator. Rode PP and the ride op said it was sold to another park which I thought was a funny thing to mention to a guest but whatever. Overall I really enjoyed the park and all the rides and I hope it wont be another 30 years before I come back.
