I'm just speculating here, but isn't it possible that the second launch can separate the track into two blocks as well? Let's say train 2 doesn't make it over the final hill and rolls back, while train 1 is still somewhere in the first block. They will both end up stopped in the launch section, where they can be evacuated, launched separately, whatever. I'm not sure if something like that has been done before, but it would theoretically work, no? No. So in effect what you are suggesting is that BOTH trains end up on the SAME launch/brake section? That doesn't sound very safe- does it? Yeah, then crash!...lol That kind of interval, if they were lucky, would last a day or two.

Two things: 1. As Robb mentioned there will not be 3 trains, they will only have 2 for it 2. As cool as it looks with one train going through the loop and the other cresting the top of it, for blocking reasons as Sharktums eluded to, it cannot run that way. If train 2 launches out if the tunnel but does not crest the hill and rolls back while train one is going through the loop, since that is the same block, they could crash. What will probably happen is the train in the station will not launch until the other train passes a sensor on the downside of the top hat signaling that block is now clear.

It is a ride at an amusement park, eventhough its not exactly what you wanted its better than nothing. There are more important things in life to get frustrated about.... live your life and move on, its just a roller coaster. I also agree with Mr. Bebe and I think I will very much enjoy it when I ride it.

Yeah because fog machines and fluid are THAT expensive. I think they just plain cheaped out.... it should be longer but...... As we have seen with the ride at SFDK freak circumstances can occur on rides of this type where the train can stop in an unexpected place. So how long after this open will that happen, stalling the train upside down in the loop?

^As pointless as it seems the backward launch could be really cool, nobody knows yet. Besides when the popularity of this fizzles they could always turn the trains around and re brand the ride as a completely new experience. Because now you would go backward forward backward instead of forward backward forward. So in effect they actually have cheaped out on this and saved money buy making it two rides in one. Or maybe they could just do this all at once, run one train forward the other backward....oh wait, oh yeah this is MM.

Knott's will announce new for 2013 "Lift: the ride", a heart pounding adrenaline producing thrill ride that takes riders up the world record breaking fastest lift on the planet. Launch up the 200 foot tall vertical lift at a 90 degree angle with only the sky above at speeds of up to 129mph, then crest over the lift hill and head straight down a beyond vertical drop with nothing but lap bars holding you in. After screaming down the hill the train will come to a quick and smooth stop with magnetic brakes leaving riders breathless and thinking "wtf just happened?" The entire ride, lasting 32 seconds will leave thrill seekers wanting more as they return to ride again and again in the sleek 48 passenger trains. This ride will feature 4 trains so at least two will be loaded at all times. The launch will feature the Intamin designed 'cable of death' hydraulic launch system to add even more excitement and also be the only vertical hydraulic launch ever built. This ride will replace Perilous Plunge and will neatly fit its footprint so as not to disturb the surrounding area.

I'll believe it when I see it. From the video it looks like an extremely tight window to make that ever happen, if even possible at all. In fact, thinking about it more, won't the first train have to clear the top hat and hit a sensor to confirm before they launch the second train? Yeah it would be a really tight window but if they can pull it off it would look cool.

The top hat at 160 feet on the outside of the loop, pretty interesting, nobody has ever thought of doing this before? I just hope not too many people are let down since a lot were expecting more but in the end it's going to be a really fun ride, that's all that matters to me anyway and it will draw the crowds, which is what matters to the park. I think it's unique, and thrilling and fun and I just don't think people should be upset about it. Yeah maybe it should have been longer and it would have been better with several airtime hills but this is what they are putting in. The front of the park is going to look really cool with Revolution's, Tatsu's, and now Full Throttle's loops right there. Hey, at least it just has lap bars!

As awesome as this is and the fact that its actually happening now makes me very anxious to ride this and based on what has been shown so far it looks like a very good ride. Im not going to say its world class or anything, because its not, but it is a great and sorely needed addition to this park that is sure to please and eat up the crowds and what is most important...... it looks like it will be a heck of a lot of fun to ride. Its going to be really interesting going to the park next year and seeing this thing standing there, like "wtf... where did this come from?" 2013 can't get here soon enough. Im also sure I will like it better than Roar.
