New 2011: Rainbow Magicland Themepark (near Rome - Italy)
BaMiTsPaT replied to Ledgy's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Dang between this and Raptor at Gardaland I want to take a trip to Italy this summer haha I wish I could afford to do that, as this looks simply brilliant! -
Your favorite coaster tunnel
BaMiTsPaT replied to chavslayer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My favorites: -Maverick has an awesome tunnel and if you're not ready for it it will take you by surprise! - The Hulk... AWESOME tunnel underwater! - Bizarro: SFNE has a good headchopper and is filled to the brim with mist there are many more, but I can't think of any truly awesome ones I've experienced rn. -
Importance of Theming
BaMiTsPaT replied to Hayzle's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
As stated countless times above, I believe that theming can always improve a ride, but some rides are spectacular without theming. Millennium Force is an amazing coaster with no theming, whereas something like Space Mountain would not be a great ride if it were not for the themed aspect. I also believe that a themed queue is important, especially at a park that sees a high amount of traffic. Dueling Dragons had my favorite queue of all time, and I didn't mind waiting as long because of how interesting the queue line was. Bizarro at SFNE is painful to wait in line for because it is just a bunch of switchbacks that seem to never end on busy days, making it a less pleasurable experience. -
Yay we won a game...and Johnson got a goal, which is always nice to see when a team acquires a new player, but I don't know when Elliott will get to Denver. That being said, Budaj played decently tonight, and I hope we continue our winning tomorrow (technically later today) against Edmonton!

Parc Asterix Discussion Thread
BaMiTsPaT replied to sebastienstuff's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That is quite unique. I really like the first element, but I don't see how it's much different from a dive loop! -
The new Bayside album that came out today titled, "Killing Time" is simply amazing and although it's only February, I don't see myself liking another album that comes out this year half as much as I like this one. I liked it so much during my first experience with it this morning that I decided to actually purchase it! I know who buys music anymore?! It's THAT GOOD!!!

^Valid point. I just never liked Anderson, and it helps worsen my mood that we are in a 10 game slump, but hopefully Elliott can help bolster our goaltending with a new change of scenery, and we still have a few good picks to look forward to next season

I've broken my pinky and my nose, but not sure if the nose counts...

Suprising Soakings
BaMiTsPaT replied to Kingsislandfreak's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The inside drops on Splash Mountain at Disneyland soaked me completely, and I was completely unprepared for it! -
I love Lake Compounce, but unfortunately I was not able to make it out there last summer because I was quite busy getting ready to go away to college and going to SFNE . I really like your pictures; they give a really good look at this small beautiful park!

Craig Anderson...you play like absolute @#%$ for us in Colorado, and then when you get traded to Ottawa you turn into a brick wall? 47/47 really aggravating...

I just started watching the Entourage and Lost DVDs at my school's library, and both shows are great IMO, but I think I'm more of an Entourage fan myself.

I don't really like the on-ride audio on either Bizarro ride (SFNE or SFGAd) because they rarely work, and when they do work they are very scratchy and LOUD. I have not heard a louder on-board audio system save for California Screamin', but at least the California Screamin' audio was exciting and not just random screaming and sound clips from movies and television shows.

This is amazingly sad and pathetic, but... Lake Compounce, From their site: Kiddie Coaster - The Wildkitten HEIGHT REQUIREMENT: Minimum 36", No more than 56" without child. Adult may accompany child. SFNE, From their site: The Great Chase Height Restrictions 42" to ride alone, no height min. with adult. I don't quite understand what SFNE is trying to say about theirs, but it looks like you need a kid to accompany you for Lake Compounce's. You do not need a kid to ride the kiddie coaster at SFNE. I ride it every year

I actually enjoy the brightness of the pictures. This photo TR gets me really excited for my upcoming trip to Orlando next month. Can't wait to test out HRRR for myself!
