  1. Day 2: Hansa Park Just above Hamburg at the East Sea lies Hansa Park. Themed after the Hansen pact. A trade pact between several northern european cities. This is a nice clean park. Not very big, but with good rides and some surpizes. Most known ride is Fluch von Novgorod. (Curse of Novgorod). This Gerstlauer Eurofighter is partly indoor and excellently themed. Which more eurofighter have; think mystery mine and Saw: the Ride. The surprize at the end is a nice touch. This park also houses the longest Vekoma Junior Coaster and Nessie, an old schwarzkopf looping coaster. As a bonus they have a wild mouse with a jugband. Other rides that are a must in this park is their weird bayern curve. Is it a coaster? is it a flat ride? What is it? Their oversized logflume splash down thingy. The wooden oldtimer fairground rides. Spanische Klocken, weird ride, beautiful to look at. Racing slides. But the best ride is the spinning, rubberraft wildwaterride. It is long it is spinny it is great fun. And you can loose your batteries in it. entrance overview, glocke, power tower, wild water ride in the back beautiful ride, low capacity entrance Fluch von Novgorod Can I get this ride in my backyard upside downy The theming of this park is really good western part of the park NO COMMENT I like these kind of details It shows the park really does their best in theming Feed up Mystery solved; I know why there are lighthouses on land in Germany, Robin! Heavy traffic
  2. Hey all, This is my story of the Germany mini trip we did in october. If you want a more detailed report you have to watch these topics of Hansrubens and Groteslurf. http://themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=57144 http://themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=55537&start=90 I will just show the stuff I found funny and tell about my thoughts of the trip. Day 1: Fort Fun and the German Autobahn After getting up real early Hans picked me up to drive to the south. Because there would be our rendevoux with the Belgiums. Meeting them would mean the start of a game we would play till the end of the trip. Car Tetris. The rules are simple, take 5 adults. Preferably large ones and try to stuff them in 1 average sized european car. You will get bonus points for telling each other to sit still and not to sit on the gear shift. You win the game by getting out of the car on your destination and have a lot of space for yourself. Just kidding, it was just a small discomfort which made the trip more memorable. Before I continue this report I want you all to look in your music library or on the internet and put on cocaine in my Brain from Dillinger. This was our themesong during the trip and it will make reading this tripreport so much funnier. First park Fort Fun This is a small Park but nice. It has a Zierer double 8 coaster, a Vekoma Corkscrew and a weird custom Vekoma Junior called Devil's Mine. Several small rides and an excellent mountain coaster. Most of the rides in the park are meuh. You have to make 'm nice yourself. But the Devil's mine is a wonderful exception. The waiting row is a funhouse with some nice effects and you have to do this coaster just for that. The coaster itself is not that powerful (its a junior) but you get a nice bit of air on the first drop. Dont forget to check ou the terrain log flume. The second ride that is amazing in this park is the mountain coaster. The park is worth going to just for this ride only. You will get pulled up the mountain which takes a long time. About 3 to 3,5 minutes before you are at the top. And it is not a slow lifthill. And then you have to get the whole end back snaking through the woods at high speed. This ride gets an 11 out of 10 from me. The plan was to hit another park before the evening but several roadblocks and traffic jams made us go straight to our hotel in Hamburg. We did go to the Red Light district in the evening but is was very touristy and not as good as other cities. More in part two. Fort Fun entrance Benny got in the Halloween mood at the start of the trip Hiking up to the star attraction lower part of the lifthill halfway up the mountain those poor buffalo's Classic
  3. You get a bonus credit from me for using nightmare before christmas quote
  4. This show looks so much better than the european version, I hope I can visit the Orlando IAAPA one day. Until then you are doing a great job covering it for us, now we can still experience it a bit.

  6. my computer died, so i will post the intro as soon as i can find suitable replacement.
  7. great ride, those boats were . i fried my computer but will post my pictures as soon as replacement is found. (currently using ps3)
  8. ^You are right, the event was started by Six Flags. But now they are working together with Universal.
  9. Hi Benny, I had a great time to that week. And no worries about your car. It was a small uncomfortable price to pay for a great week. And I agree, trapper slider was the ride of the trip
  10. Great to see the start of the report. My part will start coming somewhere next week. So the intro will not be the beginning . Yes Larry, we bring you pictures from hansa and heide and a new park!! serengeti. But you already started with the park in the index I see. On a sad side note, kaffetaschen at heide park is no more. Unless someone has a picture in their archives it is difficult to get a ride sign.
  11. I will be following your 2010 adventures. Maybe I'm in it.
  12. Tripreport EB Well, here is my 'normal' part of the tripreport. This was my first time to Holiday Park and so my first time Expedition GeForce. I first rode EGF in the morning and it was a nice coaster. Fun but nothing special. Then we did some other rides and went back to EGF in the afternoon. What a deference it was. The beast within EGF was unleashed. It is striking what little bit of sunshine can create this metamorphosis. There was lots of speed and airtime. Or better stated ejector time. Even on the first drop, right back seat, you were thrown out of your seat. This coaster earns its reputation and did not disappoint. To the photo's, This is were we went Only good pic I got from Holly's Wilde Autofahrt This picture looks familiar, but it is different Oh look, it looks like it is themed after a lighthouse. Yes Robin it is called lighthouse tower Silly Hans, Oh no Gabi Robin tried his best to get as much photobombs as he could The not so magic donkey of Holiday Park There he is again Grrrr, I got your head This is for you who like food pics I know you are out there, people who want to know what we ate Yes, our meal was excellent Nom, nom, nom Hans was delighted to find some mountain dew Robin's Dutch shoes are especially designed by and for him to not get wet feed on water rides I like this wheelshot because of the lighting from below some serioussly sweet a$$
  13. I have some riddles for you, to keep you occupied so we can sort out to other photo's of the trip. This Arcade machine told us to push the red button... But where we looked, No red button. Do you know where to find the red button. Let us know. We thought this meant; Fasten seatbelt, eat pizza sideways and put in 3th gear. Do you have a more creative solution? Let us know
  14. Piers is rapidly becoming my favorite drunk person ever! His mind is wonderful. on a side note, I didn't know you could go to endor via alpina slide
  15. This report is really EPIC with very large capitals. I am just getting drunk from watching the piers videos, absolutely hilarious. Piers should get his own TV show. He is fancy enough.
  16. $1,000,000?!? Our turtles will be so jealous. I'm a jealous turtle
  17. Movieland studios or whatever they are called this day, is one of those parks you don't expect much off. Except for magma I didn't know anything of this park except that it was a small park. But this park has WTF written all over it and is a reason to go back to Italy just to do carnevaworld again. I was so busy at the attraction park that we didn't have time left for the waterpark. It was for me the best park we visited in Italy. The staff was very friendly and U-571 the biggest surprize of the trip. I think this whole park is not Dan friendly because their motto seams to be, a water hose improves every ride. I think I have to go back to Italy in a few years to do this park again and the new park near Rome, but definitely do this park again.
  18. I wish you guys a great time ahead in Germany. And taking Wurzburger Fair as a reference, I know you will.
  19. I spy Roller Coaster Expedition 14 and Roller Coasters in the Raw 5. Can we pre-order yet? Can't wait to see the magazine!
  20. ^Shamelessly advertising your own product. I approve. I still have the european coaster odyssey on my ipod. It was the video that told me I want to go on a trip like that. I still like the sheep talking back. Mehhh. It probably was a trip with many memories for you. On topic; Yay, a new B&M just a few hours away from my home
  21. ^I think a lot of coasters would be going to the top ten with blue fire restraints. That is just a awesome train design. These photo's even brings back the feeling of being on the rides again. (Especially leprotto express) But I still can not decide if I am a red or black shirt guy.
  22. I liked the on rides. And except from a weird ride, Ramses; the terminator mummy ride was a pretty good shooter. Can't wait for more to come.
