  1. Im really really interested to see how the final layout of this ends up coming out. With the lastest photos i think It will end up going over the station before doing a final drop down into the brake run and station. We will see tho, really keeping an eye on this rides construction.
  2. Usually this time of year you just process ur pass at guest services depending on if the parks crowded or not. I processed my GF's a few weeks ago and we had to go to guest services.
  3. Was out at the park today, had a great day, really really light crowds. Interesting thing from today is they took off those little restraint check things on Xcelerator (the ones that turn green when the restraint is down far enough). The lapbar seems kinda naked now without it. Also Monte was down today for some strange reason with just the train sitting in the station with no visible activity around it, hopefully that gets fixed soon.
  4. I just want to post here and give a HUGE thanks to Knott's Berry Farm for pulling out all the stops again this year for WCB. This year was by far the most fun I've had at the Knott's day of the bash, and overall day I've had since 2010. The log ride tour was simply amazing taking us to areas we didnt see during the 2011 tour plus seeing all the fresh new work on the transformation was simply amazing. ERT was perfect, with lots of rides open and more then enought time to get on all the rides I wanted too mutiple times. And yes, i hope we do get a Charlie Brown: Drop of Good Grief on Xcelerator's Top Hat THANK YOU KNOTTS AND ROBB!
  5. Just got back from the park today and man it was hot. YOLOcoaster was down for over 2 hours in the afternoon due to overheating which worries me for the upcoming summer season when it comes to it's reliability. Finally got my first run on lex Luther and what a drop (kinda weird I haven't been to the park since wcb and there were 2 new rides. Overall pretty fun, got super crowded later in the day with all the YOLOers started showing up. On a side note, the full throttle plaza needs a lot of work still. It's like they just threw up shit last minute to get the damn ride open, kinda sad looking. The YOLOstage was temporary, there were still footers for log jammer on the hill. And what was funny I saw a few construction workers working in the area still doing landscaping and work on the fences. Hopefully they clean the area up and make it look a little more permanent but I highly doubt they will. Rides great though, the hangtime was great, way above what I expected.
  6. I will enjoy this offseason with short lines at Knotts. Ahhh the joy having a year found park in your back yard
  7. Knotts is very lax in my experience in terms of rerides, especially when there are no lines. I have sat on xceleratoe for 2+ hours without getting off before on a off season Thursday afternoon right after school started.
  8. God i wish we had coasters and parks like that here in the states and especially California, i dont think anything can match that view.
  9. There should be some way for them to manually lower it easly. Or at least that feature needs to be added. I know they can do it manually on morning inspection.
  10. Was at the park today, perilous is all gone except one tower, montezuma op said scrambler going in perilous place, but I don't see them having removed it just for that ride. Park was all dead today, walk ons on every ride.
  11. ^ don't complain it's the best time of the year for us enthusiasts to get our ride fix in at Knotts
  12. definitly has to be the xcerleator launch sounds, the brakes dropping and the signature launch whirl
  13. Watch knott's 2013 project be a 161 foot vertical loop at 71mph to beat out magic mountain
  14. I think Knotts should definitely keep the Pool that perilous used and use it in whatever replaces it, it's the part of the park that actually feels like a "boardwalk" in the section of the park that bears that name. A splashdown element would fit perfectly in the area.
  15. I'm still really hoping for a intamin as well but I really will take whatever Knotts decides to give us. As long as its a thrill ride and not another stupid family coaster I'll be happy. Any form of a giga or hyper coaster 20 min from my house would be amazing
  16. Screamscape news tonight reported that Knotts may be getting a leviathan like layout giga and that ghostrider might be receiving topper track in the next 3 years
  17. Was at the park today, perilous broke down as usual a couple of times but got one of my final rides on it . Park wasn't that crowded overall. Talked to a few employees I ran into about the future of the perilous site, I guess rumor amongst the employees is plans for a large scale Giga have been scrapped because of noise issues (apparently the neighbors across western even have problems with the employee parking lot noise levels) but hopefully these are just rumors and something large scale plays out for the site and there isn't a issue with the neighbors.
  18. Ghost rider was closed last week, it might have reopened since. If you want to be 100% sure call the park and they will tell u. Silver bullet and xcelerator still running one train.
  19. They probably factored in tower movement when they designed the ride. My guess is they would put accelerometers on the top of the tower that are linked into the lex luthors computer that will not let it dispatch If the tower is moving too much.
  20. Just announced on Six Flags Facebook Lex Luthor opening June 30th http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wWan8ipfpS8
  21. Here are the photos from today, i think that area that is being blocked off in the parking lot might be for wood storage or part of the construction, i guess we will see eventually new fence in the parking lot overview of the site today
  22. Was out at the park today, wasn't that crowded. The new coaster site had survey markers out on it today and the area of the parking lot nearest the Star Tower was fenced off probably for preparation for construction and grading in that area. Other than that lines weren't long didn't wait more than 5 min for anything all day.
  23. First time i got a ride on GL i went with my friend who was on the heavy side of things and had a wild ride flipped about 4 times. But ever since then its been always balanced rides which absolutely kills the ride experience. I guess the only way to have a wild ride is to take a friend whose on the heavier side of things with you to the park.
  24. Facebook Link Just posted up on CGA's Facebook, ima go drive by the park today to check it out
