Were there want test dummies in the seats or around the platform for Windseeker? Im pretty sure they need those to test. Also another note on what I observed at the park last week, is this Windseeker not getting the hydraulic dampers on the arms of the swings like the other ones were modified to have?

i heard through the grapevine from a friend of mine last week that it could be open as early as tomorrow. I highly doubt that tho. Last time I was at the park last week they didn't even have test dummies in it and the little maintenance cart was still on the tower, which i believe needs to be removed or at least raised to the top to even cycle the ride.

KBF -rocky mountain ghostrider -bring back old perilous plunge boats -new paint for montezuma, especially on the track in the station, it looks horribly dirty -completely new ghostrider crew who can efficiently dispatch trains and stop worrying about if some idiot pulls out his phone, seriously I know it's the rides rules but constantly stopping trains on the lift and just badgering people about it is old -Did I mention rocky mountaining ghostrider? - the railroad/stagecoach crossing from fiesta village to boardwalk reduce the time at which they close the gates, they seriously close those gates and the train is still back by perilous plunge, no need for it to be closed that long -finish windseeker faster -build the 300+ foot giga and knock out pony express and make it the station for it, and if worse comes to worse build it's lifthill out over the warehouses and the bulk of it over the parking lot by the hotel and build a parking garage across beach to accomidate the loss of parking -Reprogam Xcelerator so it's more likely to roll back again SFMM -seriously in all honesty, limit daily ticket sales to keep lines somewhat manageable on the busy summerdays. Sure profit margins would be affected but then you don't need a bunch of security watching over each line watching for people cutting which happens regardless -single rider line for ALL rides -WCB Ert treatment to Batman everynight That's all I can think of right now

I think Knott's will probably keep such a ride in the back area of the park around the Roaring 20s area and keep it clear of Ghostown. Its clear that Knott's doesn't want to cut into Ghost Town. The only ride that I could ever seeing built within or very near to Ghost Town would be a another woody but that probably would never happen.

Knott's is still a unique park no matter how you look at it. Sure some areas of the park have even changed since I went there as a child but overall Knotts has a unique feel it it. It doesnt feel like it has been completely ran over by Cedar Fair yet. Other then their stupid commericals on TV and the trash cans every 10 feet saying Cedar Fair Company, the park has seemed to operate a little seperate from big daddy in Ohio.

Was at the park today, extremely light day for the summer. Xcelerator was less than 5 minute wait at times. Both trains have their front cars fixed. Also the Windseeker ride vehicle is starting to come together. They are hanging the extensions that come off the piece thats attached to the tower now.

Ever Been The Only One On A Ride?

Once on xcelerator at Knotts 3 times on monetzuma revenge That's all I can think of off the top of my head -
they tried to keep most of the rides open for us yesterday but after q and a pretty much everything was down. I still don't get why Silver bullet wasn't running in the rain since i've ridden Flight Deck at CGA in the pouring rain before without a problem. You would think that Silver Bullet wouldn't have a problem either but ohh well I guess. Still was an awesome day with no lines all morning.

Im surprised that the cable wasn't inspected every morning before opening. Xcelerator usually goes through a more rigorous opening procedure than the others because of the nature of the launch system. Why inspect the cable every month when it could be easily done in 30 min before the ride opens in the morning.

The ride operators using their mics to entertain the people in line is completely un called for, especially on Silver Bullet where the speakers are so loud. When the ride operators actually do something funny and start playing pranks on each other during a cycle, that is what I find entertaining, not useless banter out of the mic.

Good to hear xcelerator is testing still, I wonder if the state has issued their report yet but I would assume they have because of the disappearance of the red train to be rebuilt. Hopefully it really is just a few weeks out from reopening at this point. Also when I was in the park earlier in the week, the on-ride camera and displays in the photo booth were being reinstalled In other Knotts new I thought I'd post that they were filming another ride warrior commercial on Wensday, they had the camera attachment on supreme screen and the banner turned around on the yellow tower.
