  1. http://www.cedarpoint.com/_upload/pdf/11%20Meal%20Voucher%20Program%20and%20Map.pdf Here's Cp's new map for 2011. A couple of things to take note of, first the beach entrance will be returning, just at a slight angle. Second, is that a three point challenge in the spot of Chaos? If so I do not approve.
  2. Hell, I like this a lot more than Dark Knight! I think this is a way better idea for this type of ride. It's also nice its not hidden in a giant ugly box!
  3. I think the only part of a USH version of Wizarding World that would be a direct clone would be Forbidden Journey and parts of Hogsmead. The only reason Dragon Challenge exists is because it was already there, same with Hippogriff. Those two rides aren't a necessity for the main theme of WWoHP. Perhaps a USH version would find other creative ways to represent the many aspects of the HP series in a smaller space.
  4. I wouldn't say it hardly makes it through the end. It would seem that there is some nice floater air at the end even at that speed. It seems almost Millennium-ish...
  5. Oh boy... I for real am so happy to see how well this has all turned out and a little down about it at the same time knowing I'll probably never make it over there (at least soon) You said rossa is doing 243 kph? Thats 151 mph! Thats so awesome yet so sad...
  6. A re-do of the entrance into something that doesn't look like a strip-club at night would be nice too.
  7. Nothing like launching straight into an army of trims... Nonetheless this ride is going to be sick!
  8. The first comparison that comes to mind is TTD, which I must say I always thought had cool trains but wow, Formula Rossa for the win!
  9. Anybody else notice something kind of funny about the skyscreamer artwork? the park at the bottom of the ride is clearly SF Over Texas... weird.
  10. ^ You would think that is how it would work but it is not so. The older arrow brakes use air pressure to stay closed. It is a very backwards system (as is a lot of things arrow did) In the case of Pony Express, I don't know how its brakes work specifically, whether the air pressure is used to close or open the brakes, but all I do know is that this incident probably should have never happend. Something clearly went wrong and I wish Knotts the best of luck in getting it fixed. I'm glad this didn't end up worse than it did.
  11. I Think I get what you mean, but I have to disagree. I was wary of the TS Playlands too, but after seeing the finished product I am all for it. It may not be the best "land" disney has created, but is far from the worst. (Dino-rama)
  12. ^^ It was inlcluded on an update on http://www.newsplusnotes.com and with the accompanying discription it would seem like it was an official release but I can't find it anywhere else.
  13. ^^ What if i'm an enthusiast of all of those. A coasterthemebeerpark enthusiast. sounds dangerous.
  14. The only Six Flags parks in the top 20 attendance wise for north america in 2009 were GAdventure at 19 and MM and GAmerica tied for 20
  15. Is the word "New" going to be a part of it's official name? thats the only part i don't know how I feel about.
  16. ^2pm tomorrow And btw, CP's Raptor refers to birds of prey, not the dinosaur. And I don't know how I would feel about a giga invert lol
  17. In one of those pictures describing the kalidascope wheel, they say that the coaster behind it is a giga. Now I know it's just artwork, but it looks like a beemer. If this park comes to fruition could we indeed see the first giga B&M? Edit: Haha, I just read that the coaster in question is named The Dubai Giant. Much approved.
  18. ^I 100% agree with what is happening in that picture.
  19. So weird to see this ride in a different setting.
  20. ^I'm sorry but creative layout?! Maybe the first half, MAYBE.. but after the MCBR the ride is just a bunch of pointless meandering. Even if it was comfortable it would still feel just as stupid. I hate how much time that ride stays up in the air. I feel like it never uses it's hight to its full advantage. but anyways... Good Trip report! First off, I completely agree with you on Diamondback. Good for the park. Meh for enthusiasts. But more importantly, good for the park. While 13 is a great seat on Magnum, I personally enjoy 61. Sometimes 13 can be a little much and inconsistant with trims vs trimless rides. You have to give Maverick another chance.. It might take awhile to get used to her but once you do it's one hell of a ride! And I'm sorry did you say the air-time hill was too much and too sudden? I was unaware there was such a thing. And thanks for the good Gemini review! We take a lot of pride in trying to get good races out of her and dispatching accordingly. Btw, Intawin... probably the best description of MF ever, haha.
  21. I am 100% for a beach side woodie. A rebirth of the cyclone perhaps. But I would be pulling more for a GCI rather than a pre-fab Intamin. I am all for the pre-fab design, but I feel like pre-fabs work better for large scale projects (such as EL Toro) and not so much for the small twisty goodness that I'm hoping for!
  22. HAHA, Thanks. My bad
