Moving soak city off point and away from two of your larger hotels and a campground just to put it next to their smallest hotel would certainly kill it. -

That particular air race was the one that had been making appearances at iaapa for the last couple of years, so it wasn't too shocking when they had a new air race model at the show this year, that this old one found a home in Orlando. Based on that, it's also not too surprising to now find out that it was not really up to job of handling a full time outdoor park gig. -

Funny you brought that up. Road Rally is half of CP's turnpike. When Turnpike was cut in half for Raptor, they shipped the extra cars over to Dorney. -
^^ put up earful tower as an excuse for to put up a water tower? When would anyone ever need an "excuse" to put up a water tower? Either you need a water tower or you don't. Besides the point Earful tower is not a real functioning water tower. Never has been never will, it simply exists for the sole purpose of being a park icon.

I love the clothes hanger still on the rack in the closet! -
^ Confused, what can not be happening? The hat? Because its always been "temporary". And to those of you who are too young to remember or know better, the removal of the hat is a much welcomed change aesthetically for the park. As for the re-do of DHS, its also much welcomed and at this point the worst kept secret in Orlando.

^No no no, England gets a Mary Poppins dark ride. Yes much better than a carny coaster in a box. -

I really thought they would dump those old Intamin trains when they moved Iron Apocalypse. Really surprised they didn't, and thats what leads me to believe they won't be going anywhere soon. -

Hmmm, perhaps you are right. I just know that Hershey and Kennywood both operate theirs without water up top too. -

So with the Florida version of the studio tour closing forever this week, will the Paris version share the same fate? Kind of weird to have the original shuttered while its even more pointless sister ride would continue to operate. -

^ It never had any. Those Hopkins rides work that way, dry flume up top. I don't like it either. -

The capacity is something I would be a little concerned about. Here's what we know, 7 six passenger vehicles with a 3:20 ride time. Compare that to scooby doo's 22 4 passenger boats and a five min ride and yes there is a huge difference of capacity in favor of scooby foo, that being said scooby doo does not have any where near 22 boats running at a time, combine that with the cumbersome loading procedure and the fact that most boats never actually have 4 passengers, and its probably pretty similar. What worries me is six flags history with ride efficiency concerning operations. Now with justice league, with one car in the station and 6 in the ride area, thats 35 seconds to unload, load and dispatch without stacking. A pretty doable time actually, but given six flag's less than stellar history in this department even if dispatch times are on the mark this first year, I wouldn't expect them to stay there for much longer beyond that first year. All in all i'm a little disappointed with the capacity as it seems like this will be another slow moving line. But at least the ride sounds great so far! Ha! -

I have such a raging clue right now -
The biggest clue to me that this may be a Gotham project is the phrase they keep using, "Urban Renewal Project" I thought that sounded familiar and it turns out I had seen it at six flags parks before, on the walls inside of the gotham city public park queue for B:tR. TPR member VF15 just took a picture of it in fact:

Having been there recently, I can confirm that there is almost nothing left. Afterburner (which will never run again) paratrooper, calypso, bayrne curve, and maybe a handful of kiddie rides but thats it. -

Am I reading the parks website right? Next week is their last week of weekday operation!!! Seems early. I was looking forward to stopping by the park friday Aug 15 but no. Seems like they will be closed. I understand starting to wind down the operation heading into the fall, but not even being open on a FRIDAY two weeks into august... C'mon. -
