El Toro Media Day...?
SharkTums replied to gmoney422's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Good question, we actually haven't talked to Kristin over there recently since we won't be out there for the event, but I suppose we can put a call in and see. -
You are so not funny! And to think, you make fun of me for counting to 90 everytime we take off!

Walt Disney World Epcot Discussion Thread
SharkTums replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^LOL! But seriuosly, yes, I think this is a good solution for all involved. Kind of like the 'non-moving seat' option on several of the theater type simulators. -
Please read our Terms of Service and Posting Guidelines before posting on our boards. You have violated way too many rules to post here. We try and enforce at least an effort at spelling and coherency. Thank you, have a nice day.

Sea World's Discovery Cove
SharkTums replied to kc7gr's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've done Discovery Cove twice, Monkey Mia in Australia once, and a few of the 'cruise ship dolphin interactions'. None of this is 'my thing' I'm not into nature or wildlife at all. The water is cold, the food is not elissa friendly, and the birds scare me....but I still had a great time and would recommend it to people that have the money and are interested (or have kids that are interested) in marine animals. You didn't mention the other pools they have. Stingrays you can walk around with, and a fake coral reef with lots of colorful fish. If you went on a cruise and wanted to do a Dolphin Encounter, Stingray City, and a Snorkeling Tour it would be MUCH MORE expensive than just going to Discovery Cove. I agree with you on several points. Busch has always put themselves on a self made pedestal, and the selling of photos and videos was a hard sell and quite obnoxious. It is a lovely park though so don't get too turned off by all of this. -

What type of turn on a wooden coaster
SharkTums replied to pkdcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I like high banked like on Balder or Hades. For me, the flat turns just hurt and are pointless. It's like Thunderbolt and Kennywood, I never understood that stupid ride and it's 'kill the person on one side of the train' turns. -

Rumors are that Revolution and Sky Tower will open VERY soon after Tatsu, if not for opening itself. Orient will take much longer to get back open. -
Jobs... Robb's has taken him away from me for a week. And mine is so busy I can't go with him.

The only thing that could have made this TR any better was a picture of Joey dressed as an Egyptian. Thanks Wes! -
I think this is one of those 'It's amazing but I hate it' type of rides! It really pushes the limits of the human body. The launch really felt like I was being hit by a truck, or someone slammed a sack of bricks into my chest! It hurt. There is some floater air down the little drop, the turnaround was really shaky and pointless, then the hill was again on the verge of what the body can handle. The most extreme airtime I've ever felt, but not necessarily in a good way! I mean, really intense, but I still can't figure out if it was good or bad! I'll ride it again next year and try to decide, but again, I think it's really pushing the limits!

Robb has been to both, I've been to PCW.

Yeah, is it bad that it took me like 2 days to notice I had become a 19 year old man!?!? Sorry I couldn't hang out more Joe, stupid work! Anyways, see you in a few weeks on the UK...oh wait...

According to Holiday Park in Germany it means Extra Ride Time! Seriously though, this is another reason we started doing our own group trips. It's kind of stupid to pay money for ERT when there will be 400 people waiting in a line for 2 coasters that normally have shorter waits! Our group of 53 on the UK trip has more ERT than the ACE trip had in 2002 with over 200 people. Do the math, we're going to actually have ERT!!!!

Did you get him his Pteranadon Flyers credit?!?!?! -

With the 20th Anniversary now upon us, I've found a lot more people are talking about and interested in this place. In fact did you know that they have tours to go check out Chernobyl and Pripyat!!? Anyway, here's the link to some more photos: http://images.google.com/images?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGLD,GGLD:2005-02,GGLD:en&q=Pripyat%20amusement%20park&sa=N&tab=wi
