  1. Got Forza today. Gonna play it soon. Hopefully I have space on my hard drive for it! At least so I can do the transfer from Forza 3 so I can delete FM3's big 3.7GB memory monster file.
  2. ^^All of your rides look quite cool! I never see you post them though.
  3. For winning the Schwarzkopf Design Challenge (see )! 1st Bag of Crap! Yay! Awesome maps/brochures! Top (from left): Adventure Island, Chessington, Carowinds, Universal Singapore, Legoland California, Oakwood, and Happy Valley! Also, a knee. Sporting awesome tat. Trying to pick up coaster babes with flexing of arm. Failing miserably. Suitcase handle thingie, A COASTER (going to put it in my backyard for everyone to enjoy!), some sticker in case I don't want to have any friends at school that day, and a keychain for equal purposes. I guess I'll have to wear them at home. A ton of mints (delightfully delicious), a random Singaporian papery thing that I don't know what it is but I'll figure it out some day, and a mystery DVD (yet to have seen)! Ooooh.
  4. I've yet to get it, but I'm going to try to get it today!
  5. ^I still need to download that beta...except I'm on an Xbox. Is it available on 360? Downloaded Forza demo. Didn't have much time to play it, but it was lookin' sharp.
  6. [MOD EDIT: Don't put up stupid posts like this- thus why it's now deleted. R.D.- GFMT]
  7. I like how it's away from the chest and head. Keeps the lap bar feel!
  8. The graphics are just WOW. I mean, that makes the game alone lol. Completely excited for Forza 4.
  9. I could tell it was handbuilt, but only after a ways into the POV. Which means AWESOME job! Seriously, this was great. I had seen your Aza track (I think on RCTLounge) and I thought it was pretty good, but this is great! I really love that twisting air hill...it seems characteristic to a stand-up but it's your own element. Wrap-around immelmann wasn't quite B&M-like in feel, but handbuilding to that quality is hard and it was pulled off well. I really liked how everything else flowed. The layout was of good compactness, which helps it be in a real park. First drop probably has wicked airtime in the back...totally needs to happen on a future standup! Such a steep, graceful drop. This had me fooled into thinking it was Newton. Extremely smooth and well done! The rest of the layout was good, although the quality dipped a tad in the last half of the ride. Of course, proper flat spins are hard to handbuild, so good job at that. Other than a few banking glitches (I believe a few turns were overbanked) and some super-subtle handbuilding flaws (that I would find rather unavoidable), it was great. Great ride...you need more attention for sure! Some quality balls-out NoLimits without frills here.
  10. EXT was totally weird...crazy stand-up trains on a corkscrew surely means pain, but it's just so original. Cool to see that you made it! I've always been fascinated by the oddities of EXT.
  11. I'm pretty sure a Schwarzkopf would be hell on your head. So it's not necessarily "properly designed". Doesn't mean it's stupid, it just means that it's not glass smooth. Which honestly makes them good for the nice "bite" they have combined with the more proper shaping at the time. Also, Intamins are generally designed properly. But really, you can only get so tight with a lap bar. i305 can't have lap bars or you might have fat people flying out of them like the guy on Superman Ride of Steel in 2004 (not the recent incident). Also, the only other way you could have tight transitions like i305's w/lap bars would be to have a pipeline coaster or something where the heartline is zero. Otherwise, there will ALWAYS be rotational torque and G's that will be more or less unpreventable because the track has to bend to make the cars pass through the heartline, which causes lateral G's, combined with the rotation itself which is centered on the heartline and not the headline. I mean, if you were sitting properly on i305 as it is now, you could probably get away with lap bars. Problem is, there will always be someone that might be leaned over or something like that, or in just some other position that wouldn't be within the OTSR's restriction range, and injuries would surely follow after tight transitions like that where the body is not properly positioned. B&M's are properly designed and they have OTSR's, so it's really just a matter of various factors on whether you have them or not. Schwarzkopf didn't really have tight transitions, at least compared to today's standards, so they weren't critical. Fortunately, OTSR's aren't on many Schwarzkopfs. Otherwise, you'd get Revolution-style results, which I heard isn't good lol.
  12. I agree that it can be a bit bitter, but I guess I don't have the problems you do. Which is unfortunate, because it really is a fun ride to experience without pain lol. A tip that helps is to lean into the turns versus bracing (I think the bracing worsens it) so your head doesn't slam. I figured this out and I only went to CP for a couple days...it seemed to work. I just did it subconsciously. Front row helps since you can see the turns. Other than that, I find it really fun, especially the awesome drop, ejector air, and awesome ending with overbanks that are just so cool because they rotate in a cool way. It's like Matrix-style wall-running. I still prefer other rides, but Maverick is at least in my Top 5 (although I haven't ridden many coasters). Intamin sometimes needs to stick with the soft OTSRs in my opinion. I don't see why not...serves the purpose and adds comfort. EDIT: But the real thing is that it's a bit ignorant to say that the statement "Maverick is great" is dumb. Some people don't feel the pain that you do (I guess it's a height/weight difference, although I'm 5'6" and 125lbs and I was pretty much fine), so they think it's great. Doesn't make the statement stupid, it's just that they like it. Although, if it's a CP fanboy boasting that it's the best thing on the globe, then it's probably a stupid statement. - And finally, someone else actually enjoys MF lol. I'm not the only one!
  13. Do you think it's bad? I mean, it's certainly not bad in my opinion, in fact the general consensus among people is that it's quite good. Of course it's over-loved by CP fanboys, but that doesn't mean I don't like the ride. It's pretty darn good and unique.
  14. I thought Maverick was really fun, but whatevs.
  15. Also worth noting: 4. OTSR's prevent excessive lateral head movement on tight transitions and inversions. 5. OTSR's are practical for rides that don't have a floor, namely drop towers and inverted coasters. Like the design! I'm just wondering if it will properly serve the purposes it needs to. I mean, with that much space, it pretty much could be a lap bar.
  16. Looks to be utterly ridiculous. In a good way. I always like these macho terrain rides. Although, ejector air on every hill will be pretty ho-hum...no dramatic buildup. It will just feel the same over and over until it's done. I would steadily increase G's until a big finale comes. Also, floater air can feel very strong even though it isn't. GCI commonly uses floater air, but because it's onset is so rapid it feels very strong and fun. I'm just afraid that the ride will turn into a 4G, -1G, 4G, -1G marathon with a little twist on each G section. Ultimately making it drab. All-in-all, really try to make interesting elements, varied G's, and cinematic build-up. With that you'll have a macho terrain ride that doesn't have a video that people on YouTube like to just skip ahead on and get a brief overview of what it does. Good luck!
  17. Yay! A bigger one! Also, you could technically "sell" both models! Enclosed drop or non-enclosed drop! You should start a pretend slide business and sell different models. It'd be interesting to see all of the designs you come up with. When you get really good, you might find yourself inventing a new slide element!
  18. Well, can't you copy/paste brushes? That way, you could have a "45 segment (stair)" 3D object, a "turn 90 to [left, right]" object, and a "flat segment" object. Then just assemble the stair pieces in the way that you want, and some support structure, and there you have it. No need to model all the railings and such again.
  19. I really love flooring the petal. My excuse: "gives me practice with shifting near redline... in case... I need it... or something like that yeah" lol Besides, VR6 makes sexy noise and gives Mr. Freeze style launches (x 1/2, but yeah). I did notice though that I have some mods in my car. Neuspeed air filter, and the afore-mentioned MOMO Italy shift knob. I don't know if it's just the shift knob or if it's some kind of sport transmission (probably the former, but I like to think the latter lol). Anyway, it's interesting to see that the prior owner liked to have some fun as well. The car also has a really stiff suspension (you can feel every bump, and really bumpy road, like, hurt), but I don't know if it's just part of the car or not. It does make sporty driving much better though lol.
  20. ] Ohhhh yes. A friend of mine was talking about Dollywood and how one of the rides looked like it had a butterfly-wing shape to it and I immediately said "Tennessee Tornado". lol They think it's amazing that I know rides in various US parks, but they don't even know about my knowledge of ones outside the US lol. Vicious cycle, it is.
  21. You might be a coaster nerd if you play NoLimits. Simple as that lol.
