  1. ^I hate to be "that" guy BUT if you go back to page 55 in this thread, you might find out why the park closed!
  2. ^I'm not entirely convinced Chang is staying at SFGAm. Just because it's sitting there doesn't mean it will be errected there...
  3. Well SFA probably has a couple more seasons because their putting in a thomas town in this year. Mark Shapiro has gone on the record many times and said SFA is not up for sale despite years of rumors. The most recent example of this was during the last Blogger Conference Call.
  4. Where do I put my money down on that I bet SFMM will receive SFKK's Wild Mouse as a brand spanking new Dark Knight coaster?
  5. I agree with many people in that I think SFKK is single handidly the worst park I've ever been to, even moreso than my home park SFA. I don't give home park bias to SFA. Now we all know how SF Inc was planning on funding the 2011 capital program. If the land leasing agreement is true and SFI didn't think they could've gotten a fair deal then they have to make the best business decision for them (SFI). I don't hold any ill will against SFI over this decision and hope that as many attractions (coasters/flats) can be saved and moved elsewhere. I think the shuttle loop would make a great addition to the footprint that has been vacated by Two Face's removal at SFA.
  6. ^I usually brush my teeth right after smoking a cigar as the tobacco taste just becomes really overwhelming. If I'm not in a position to brush, a nice adult beverage usually acts as a chaser.
  7. With the First Rider Charity event being Friday April 2nd, I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that the park is more than certain that the coaster will open with the rest of the park.
  8. You'll be billed on March 1st. I purchased my pass around Christmas last year and they didn't bill me until March 1.
  9. Anybody else here smoke cigars? I just picked up the habit last summer myself. I smoke Perdomos. What brands do you like?
  10. I came across this thread while doing research before starting another thread. Fun fact about old Tiger Stadium... When it was built, they forgot to build an Umpire's Locker room and the Umpires use to have to get dressed and undressed in the Tiger's Lockroom.
  11. As I scrolled through all the entries, I was hoping to see Dick's face photoshopped on Mr. Six's body.
  12. Re: "Commercial" Douchebags! Not only does the piece have the Paramount logo but Dominator has a pic of it in it's old location and they spelled Eiffel wrong.
  13. I vaguely remember it being white in color but that's about all I remember. I'm just happy to know it actually existed and isn't something I conceived in a dream.
  14. While having dinner with the family tonight, we were talking about going to Ocean City MD this weekend just to get out of town for the weekend. As we talked about OC MD, we talked about memories we've had there as a family over the years and Mom brought something up that I sort of remember but hope someone knows more about it. Apparently there was an inflatible "worm" or catepillar that the park had as an attraction. Mom mentioned that inside the worm there were ball crawls and or other obstacles for kiddies to enjoy. The "worm" had plastic windows along the attraction so parents could see thier children inside. Does anyone else remember this or anything like it from the early to mid-1980's? Have any pictures ?
  15. I dont get the logic of the night testing. The coaster is deep enough in the park that no one would be able to get a good close up shot of the train even during testing during the day. Maybe they'll have a train displayed during the ACE event in a couple of weeks at the park.
  16. Am I the only person that thinks having Mr. Six be the theme of a kiddie coaster is a BAD idea? He's creepy enough as it is and to have your guest's children riding in his shoe, well, isn't that sending the wrong message? LOL I can hear it now... "Mommy Mommy, I want to take a ride on Mr. Six!"
  17. I get that all the time on my job though if I'm being cursed at, I sometimes curse back. And then I throw them out! That's the life of a baseball umpire. In fifteen years of umpiring, I've been physically assaulted twice on the ballfield over a baseball game.
  18. I only go to KD on weekdays in the summer and the park isn't usually that bad. You can ride almost anything at any point in the day with a one or two train wait. The exception being Volcano. Usually a 30-40 minute wait during the afternoon hours and it's not really that bad of a wait. We'll see what I305 does with weekday crowds this summer.
  19. That's a real good thing for the ladies...
  20. You keep refering to him as a "guy" and not a friend which to me implies he's not your friend, therefore, you invited a grown man who you don't really know to wear his robot costume to your wedding. How is that not creepy? I'm just busting your chops. I'm not passing judgement. It just humors me a little.
  21. Re: Robot guy... That's creepy. Even more creepier that you invited him to your wedding. If the Ravens get knocked out before Miami, I'll be rooting for the Saints to go all the way.
  22. ^Just because addiction/alcoholism runs in your family doesn't neccesarily mean that you are an alcoholic. Some say since it runs in your family, you have have a greater chance down the road of having problems with it but it doesn't make you one. Granted, you shouldn't be drinking at the age of 17, in my opinion.
  23. Be careful with that kind of stuff. I dated a guy who was working on a one year contract in DC with Sprint/MCI back in 2001-2002. We met and dated pretty seriously while he was in DC. He wanted me to move back to Kansas City with him and things progressed to the point where I was ready to do that. I moved away from everything I had going on in DC, family, friends, left a job only to receive the biggest kick in the nut sack ever. When we arrived to Kansas City, I met his wife. We dated for nine months, I move halfway across the country for the guy, and when we get to his place, his wife is standing in the front door. She knew about me. I didn't know about her. I moved back to DC less than a week later.
  24. See sexual orientation thread for debates on that subject. LOL
  25. Anybody have pull through pics of the loops for Dueling Dragons? Would love to see what the safety envelope for those two coasters are.
