Got to ride Despicable Me this morning during the Annual Passholders preview. Pretty fun attraction, although the actual ride itself is rather short compared to the preshow. I don't know if they upgraded the ride system since Jimmy Neutron (since I never rode that), but it's nothing spectacular. The theming in and around the ride building is top notch, though. It also made me want to finally see the movie, so maybe that was part of the idea, too. Either way, fun times, but I won't be waiting for this at any point during the summer.

Really? I mean, really? That's what I say to you actually believing that the person was serious. -

Yep, but the station design creates basically no line for the magic row, so I LOVE that station! -

Car 1, Row 3. That's all you need on that ride. Unless you're a pansy and can't handle airtime (like the people complaining about SkyRush). The back row is only better for the first drop. -

And there are dozens of parks that cost a HELL of a lot more than this one. Seriously, on the WTF? scale of expensive parks, with a 1 being your typical FEC and 10 being any Orlando park, CP is at about a 6 (maybe 7) out of 10. I would put places like Kennywood and Holiday World at about a 3 or 4. -

Really happy for the Kings, glad they finished the series off on home ice, too. -

^The non-wheel seats don't involve your butt sitting directly above the wheels, which makes for a noticeably smoother ride. Even on 4-seat cars. For a great comparison, I would ride Grizzly at KD in the 2nd last row and love it, then I would ride in the row behind it and immediately schedule a chiropractic appointment. Believe me, there's a HUGE difference between the two rows. -

^I don't get scared on coasters, but buzzbars on Skyrush would make me fairly sufficiently crap my pants. -

Intamin just needs to go back to old school and use ratcheting lap bars. -
Absolutely worse. BGT has actually been better the last couple times I've gone there this year, but HP was historically bad that day. When you combine the ride closures with the incompetency we saw from the entire ops department, it was one of the worst days I've had at a park operations wise. But like I said, they have some kick ass rides, so you kinda have to deal with it to get the reward of Storm Runner, Skyrush, and Lightning Racer.

I think we can all agree that something has to be done about that station. I even wonder if there's a way they could build a staircase off the back of the station for people to use as an exit. I didn't look that closely at the back of the station to see if it's even possible, but I find it impossible to believe that there's absolutely no way they could have people unload on the other side and still make it work.

Yep, when you go through the main entrance, the path starts just to the right of the main midway and connects directly to the start of the Skyrush queue. It's a HUGE relief for what could have been a pretty ugly stampede down into Comet Hollow on a daily basis. So at least they got that right. Yeah, I saw nothing but happy faces that day. I will say, I pulled a muscle in my side trying to sit back up when I was bent over the side of the train, which was sore for a few days, but at least it wasn't my thighs!
