Because wooden trationalists are fanatical and insane? Why can't some people just go on roller coasters, and enjoy them, and not get so bent out of shape over them? --Robb A-freaking-men. It's pretty sad how there are some who are SO hellbent on getting their favorite coasters to the top of the polls. It's not life or death, it's roller coasters. Sheesh. That being said, I thought Prowler was pretty awesome. But I thought Evel Knieval was better, which I rode the day before and had a pretty instant comparison of the two (although my EK rides were at night and Prowler was during the day, might have made a difference). AND HOORAY FOR RAMPAGE BEING BACK IN THE TOP 20 WHERE IT BELONGS!!!!!!

Yeah I remember the Clementon people visiting us during the year. I didn't really interact with them at all, but from what I heard their experience was positive. I was up at SFGAd at the beginning of September this year and wanted to make a pit stop at Clementon, but it was a weekday and at that point it was only open weekends. Maybe another year!

^I have an up-close picture of it, but I'm not going to post it here. While I'm sure all wooden coasters experience potholes occasionally (even Voyage had a pretty nasty one this year), they look kinda scary up close so I don't want anyone to know what they REALLY look like.

Yeah it's a lot of fun climbing them, but you don't realize just how out of shape you are until you do.

One of the great things about working year-round at a seasonal park is the ability to come in and take some exclusive photos of the coasters without having to worry about your head getting pancaked by a 5-ton train full of riders. A couple of times this year I've taken the time to climb all over Rampage and Zoomerang to get tons of perspectives that very few people ever get of either ride, and it wouldn't feel right to not share some of the highlights with my coaster enthusiast pals on TPR. So enjoy! Disclaimer: I just have a regular point and shoot camera, so some of the color and clarity quality displayed by other talented TPR photographers won't be present in this post, BUT I still think they look great. However, you can all be the judge of that! Nerd shot #5, and the ultimate nerd shot, Rampage's wheel assembly!! Noooo, the sun is inside of Rampage, it's going to burn down!!! Bite your tongue! Triangle airtime hills are the greatest thing since sliced bread! It's the rock hard lapbars that have to go! But I still LOVE Magnum with all my heart, that ride never gets old.

I would love a little BGT or SWO action on my vacation this year, but I don't think it's in the cards for me this time around.

I went to BGT a couple times around Christmas last year, once a few days before Christmas and on New Years. Both times were semi-crowded, but nothing horrible. You should be able to get everything done.

Zipper rides are INSANE. Half the excitement is wondering whether or not the ride will in fact come crashing down and end your life, but it's fun nonetheless! Oh, and the "get laid" woman's tooth was disgusting.

Ok I have finalized and planned out my trips for 2010 and it's fair to say that I am REALLY excited about this year. Even more so than I was for 2009. Los Angeles March 17 - Scandia, Castle, John's Incredible Pizza Company March 19 - Pacific Park March 20 - SFMM for WCB! March 21 - KBF for WCB! and mayyybe a quick trip in the middle of the day to Adventure City Intimidators Whenever I305 opens is when this trip happens, but it will involve Carowinds, KD, and SFA. Holiday World Holiwood Nights the first weekend of June. Don't think I will, but I might could stop at Beech Bend for a few spins on the Rumbler on the way up there. Lake Winnie Never went there this summer out of laziness, I'll definitely go sometime on a day off, it's not a bad drive from here. New England July 7 - 7 parks on 7/7!!!! Canobie Lake, Funworld Game Center, Funtown Splashtown, Palace Playland, Story Land, Six Gun City, and Santa's Village! July 8 - La Ronde and Great Escape July 9 - Quassy, Lake Compounce, and SFNE San Francisco August 10 - CGA and Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk August 11 - SFDK All in all, I have about 115 credits I could possibly get in 2010, which would be insane (I got 87 new credits in 2009). Hopefully it all works out without a hitch!

I went to both on Halloween weekend and liked SFStL a little better than WoF. Evel Knieval, Boss, and Screamin' Eagle are all quality woodies, and Mr. Freeze is obviously a great ride. The Batman is your typical Batman, I thought Patriot was better. Like said before, WoF has Prowler and Patriot and that's about it. Mamba was a big let down, nowhere near as good as Steel Force as far as Morgan hypers go.
