There's several things about frying a turkey. First, i'm assuming you used peanut oil, which is the norm. Good for you. Second, it didn't look like you injected it, which is a requirement. Cajun creole butter, or creole garlic is what I usually inject. The turkey tastes so much better, if you do it again, I highly recommend injecting it. That's the only way to go. Third, temperature seemed to be ok. Usually, you get it to a high temperature, then the turkey naturally brings it down to 350-300 degrees once you put it in. Just trying to give some tips to anyone who tries to fry a turkey. If anyone has the option to fry or bake a turkey, frying is the only way to go. ^ the rose bowl is now overrated. Sure, there's a lot of history behind it, but now it's no different than the Orange, Sugar, and Fiesta Bowls. Big BCS bowl game, but it's not the championship game. It's just a recruiting tool now. It's funny to hear some players say they'd rather play in the Rose Bowl than the BCS title game. How does that even make sense?

sorry your football team sucks. At least against SEC schools in BCS bowl games. But hey, at least you guys can win a crappy conference every year and go to the overrated Rose Bowl. although i will admit i went to columbus this past summer to watch Tiger Woods at the Memorial golf tournament and had a great time. Mine is pretty self explanatory: my 2 favorite pro sports teams mashed together.

Loved the report. I really liked the place when I was there in 2007. It was a great park that I was glad I visited. As much as I hate the Bears, I love the Cubs. (I know that doesn't have anything to do with this thread, but I guess it's because there are a lot of Cub fans in New Orleans, but we hate the Bears since we're Saints fans). Although not sure why I even mentioned that. (New Orleans-themed land in a Chicago park?) Maybe this post was meant for the drunk thread. Whoopsie. so here's the recipe for donkey bites. a couple of steaks (sirloin or ribeye) cream cheese jalapenos turkey bacon (can be substituted for real bacon) shrimp (optional) you basically want to cut the steak into small squares, maybe about 2 inches by 2 inches, then slit the side of them. You then stuff cream cheese and a jalapeno inside. If you have shrimp, put it next to the meat, then wrap with the bacon. I use toothpicks to keep them together. Cook until the bacon gets crispy.

thanks for pointing him out. there were indeed some scraps, and i waited till i was done making everything before handing out any scraps. I would have given them more, but my fiancee made me wait and hand them out equally. i also have a jack russell. can't show preferential treatment.

the kiddie coaster at the former celebration station on the deep south tour. I don't even remember what it was, but it was so whorish. Zuma? Zamba? Zanstar? I don't even remember, but the waiting area had a history of elvis, so at least I learned something. and it was close to a carraba's, so it had some charm. that's really the only credit whoring i've done. on midwest, i was not a whore. something changed me, i don't know what.
