The Official TPR 2010 UK Trip Thread
Coaster Cow replied to Meteornotes's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Good stuff! I find it weird that Infusion got really rough. I rode it in like its first or second year and the restraints were really soft and comfy, although there was plenty of headbanging. I almost found them like Kumali's at Flamingoland, which will make it interesting to see if those restraints got all hard, too. -

Just found out that the largest concert ever was when 3.5 million Brazilians showed up for a Rod Stewart concert. That brought quite a decent drop in my faith of humanity. -

Wow, that just makes his death more tragic for me. What a horrible way to die young. -

Leap the Dips, but I guess I should note Jack Rabbit at Seabreeze-1920 and continuously operating! Suck that Lakemont. -
[RCT2] Fox Studios World

Work on the foliage around the ride. If you are going for the forest-y look, make a stronger band of trees. If not, go with less trees and more grasses. If you want a really highly themed are, maybe ditch all the trees for some buildings. The rest looks fine. I like that lie to fly into the helix, especially. -
[RCT2]- Six Flags Santa Fe
Coaster Cow replied to robmiester's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
My only problem is the BTR queue looks a bit disheveled and cluttered. Try to go for the city park idea, maybe take some path away for more foliage. I really like that screen with the spinner! Good work! -

I'm not sure if that's a lot or not, but generally you don't have to be worried. It'll be busy because it's a Friday in summer, but generally Darien Lake just doesn't get mobbed. The most I've ever waited is 20 minutes for a full queue on Ride of Steel. The only things you'll probably wait for is the boomerang and motobike, just because they're slow loaders. I wouldn't worry.

[Video] Mirabilandia
Coaster Cow replied to Wousboy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Wow! Nice work. Mirabilandia looks like a sweet park. Has anyone ridden Ispeed and Maverick? They look like they have some really similar elements. -

Efteling Discussion Thread

Those details on the train are really pretty schnazzy. Does anyone know if Efteling has any experience with animatronics? I want to know how the dragon is going to turn out. -

Amazing Video!!!
Coaster Cow replied to BankaBoss's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
That's awesome! I'm always horrible at those games. The only time I won at any of them was on one of those ladder games when the operator was talking to his friend, so I ran up and hit the button before he let go of the ladder. I was like 6, so he gave me an enormous alligator. One quick tip, if you use the youtube button in the message screen, you can show your video without the link by just putting in your URL. -
Alrighty: I've noticed through such entertaining premises as I305 and other controversial rides that people obviously have different ideas of what is good in an amusement park. This thread is the place where you get to share what you believe makes a coaster/park good, through anything as deep as discussing the effect of a ride of one's personality to anything as shallow as saying you like loop-de-loops. It's an excuse to throw your big-headed coaster egos out to all, whether you only ride wooden coasters with the original profiling and trains or if you can't stand trimmed coasters meant to rely on speed. I'll start: I personally find that the experience is vital in a ride. What kind of atmosphere the park puts out to you will change your riding experience. This closely follows the ideas of Disney Imagineers and their sense of perfection in detail of everything they do. Rides like the Indiana Jones attraction would not be the same if the entire queue was just a long tunnel to the station. This applies to coasters, too. It's like the difference between Kumba and Bizzaro or Scream. It just affects all aspects of the experience.

Post your milestone coasters

Numero 300 on Dragon's Fury. Much better than I thought it would be! That was two years ago, but I'm probably pretty close to 350 now, I just haven't counted in a while. Courtesy of rcdb.com
