  1. LOL I didn't even notice that. I have to say though it's a huge improvement on the original.
  2. Carnage

    How do you...

One way is to go to Coasterfanatics.com. Sign up, add whatever coasters you've ridden, and then copy and paste the code into your sig.
  3. LOL @ the last pic. And man do I look evil in that phone booth. Awesome pics. That weekend was a total blast!!
  4. Was that because of the Dorney pass being non-Paramount? My CW Maxx pass scanned at the gate at KD.
  5. Sounded to me that the brakes did kick in, however the train slipped through because of the brakes being wet. I'm not really surprised though, as the train hits those brakes at a pretty good speed.
  6. They refurbish them every off season. If there was enough damage to the trains to warrant a refurb then they would. But it sure doesn't sound like the impact was hard enough to warrant removing two entire trains for the rest of the season.
  7. There was only minor cosmetic damage to two cars. So why would they spend thousands of dollars on brand new trains?
  8. ^ My sister works at North York General. At least I think that's the hospital she works at.
  9. ^ The mountain was always there, it's kind of hard to miss. The volcano is what they added. Though the "volcano" is mostly just a paper mache wall built around the helix. You would have figured something that took 25 years to make would look a bit better. Dragon Mountain is just one of those really odd coasters that needs to be experienced at some point or another. Too bad though it's such an expensive credit.
  10. I think they look like pigs because our backs are covering the trails which form the stroller handle. If you saw the entire stroller no one would think it was a pig.
  11. ^ We found the same thing. It's so dark in there that it's really hard to see where you're going.
  12. Plus my hand was covered in deer slime and dirt from them sucking the food out of my hand. Luckilly they didn't take any part of my hand off with the food. I promptly washed my hands after leaving Deerschwitz.
  13. Yeah, I'd avoid that one. If you're looking to save as much as possible you could try checking prices of hotels closer to the turnpike. It means a bit longer of a drive to the park however.
  14. ^ Which one? The Hojo Express over on 250? Or the Hojo across from the causeway? I've stayed in both. The one on 250 was alright, but nothing special. The one across from the causeway was crap. It was cheap, but the beds felt like I was sleeping on a board. I've found that the non-Cedar Point hotels are all pretty hit or miss.
  15. Nice TR. I'm hoping to finally hit Waldameer this summer.
  16. ^^ Yeah Silver Comet was running awesome for our one ride. I don't think I'll ever get the chance to get some decent rides in on it though. That park won't let me.
  17. That might be, but not on Magnum. The block that the train slid through is really the only spot on Magnum that could cause a collision. And it's at a spot where it's going to always be a slow collision. Well, other then something crazy happening like a train valleying and another train being sent. But that's just not realistic.
  18. Breakers Express. It's the best balance of cost and comfort. It's not too pricey, and you get all the Cedar Point resort perks. If you try and go any cheaper you're going to risk getting a real dive. It's really not worth the $10 savings. As far as I know most hotels don't have shuttles. Though while I was checking in a couple weeks ago an employee mentioned that a cab to Cedar Point was only $5.
  19. LOL that one is great. I made sure to keep an eye on the one's in front of me. Though every once in awhile one of them would start nibbling on my shirt. Freaked the hell out of me.
  20. Maybe you should have asked a mod instead of posting a repeat topic that you knew had already been locked.
  21. Only difference I could notice was less Whales, and less deer. The real problem with Marineland is the price though. At $38 that's more then a discounted pass to Canadas Wonderland.
  22. Kind of The lift hill is huge, the double helix is huge and not all that exciting, and there's a giant flat section behind the mountain that was supposed to be a replica of Niagara Falls. Really, to sum the ride up it's two loops, with a bow tie.
  23. Very spread out. The park is huge, but there's really not much there. It's a good 20+ minute walk back to Dragon Mountain. Dragon Mountain is just a very odd coaster. It's kind of a fun ride, but it has ALOT of wasted track. You can't even see the bulk of the ride, and yet you can see everything that it really does.
  24. After a fun filled Friday at Wonderland, Tom had one more day to enjoy in the Southern Ontario area. Saturday, myself, Nikki, Jer, and Tom enoyed Marineland and Niagara Falls, before meeting up with Nicole for MFI and Anchor Bar. Felt like we did alot more then we actually did thanks to the massive size of Marineland. Marineland is overpriced, way too big, and has questionable animal treaments. But Tom needed the credits, and Nikki,Jer, and I hadn't been since we were really young. Who let Tom figure out the bill? Remember this isn't England, we actually tip over here. Eat the wing!! Eat the wing!! Tom, look sad. That's not sad, that's British. The pain of MFI was wiped from my mind when we decided to go to Anchor Bar. Damn it, they broke it again after one ride. MFI why do you hate me so much?? Yay, they fixed it!! Ride on!! Uh oh. That doesn't look good. (both the butt crack and the broken ride) Silver Comet, how you curse me. Neither too nice weather, nor bridge delays are going to stop me this time. Crappiest spinner ever. May as well just keep the pin locked the whole ride. Made it to MFI after getting grilled by some jerk customs officer. Tom gets some chocolate balls. Again, long arms come in handy. The masachist side of me wants to see the maid of the mist go under the falls. You won't get THAT wet or pulverized. I think the American falls vomited on our side of the river. Real mature American falls. Awesome Canadian falls. Crappy American falls. Onto Niagara Falls for some culture credits. Pile driver wasn't running. Probably failed to get permits again. Best ride of the day!! They even had to bring out an extra stroller for Nikki. This girl got about 5 extra rides because the ride op didn't know how to park the train properly. The keeper said the big ones are just chilling. Kind of looks dead to me. Maybe those protesters out front had a point?? I think it wants the baby in the stroller. Or the lady in the wheelchair. Ooohh, Killer Whales. Wonder what we get to feed them this time? I've got a plan. I'll just throw this food all over that old man. Then I'll make a run for the gates as they maul him. Save yourself, they've got me cornered!! I put up a brave face, but I really am scared. For $2 you too can feed drugged up deer. They don't even get corn pops though, looks more like dried cat food. Now back to questionable animal exhibits, Deerschwitz. 5500 feet long. I'd say the drop, loops, helix, and bow tie might be about 2000 feet. The rest is just filler. Sky Screamer did have some pretty cool visuals however. If you sit on the correct side you get a great view of the falls. We stop for a rest and realize that we've walked above the condor ride which I once thought was tall. Crap, now we gotta make the long walk up to Sky Screamer. Who's idea was it to build the ride on top of a 150 foot fake hill? Topple Tower is just missing a queue and a beluga head. The entrance to the ride is actually cooler then the ride itself. It's good to be tall. I did not have to be Robin Hood to get this shot. No being Robin Hood. Oddly enough the bowtie doesn't hurt, and is actually kind of cool after coming out of the huge tunnel. Then again, it does cover 30 acres, so they may have a point in some ways. Longest lifthill, with the least amount of excitement on the other side. Enough of the bears. Onto Dragon Mountain, the worlds largest steel roller coaster. Or at least that's what Marineland claims. Way to go Tom, you scared away the bears food. Seriously, what kind of life is that? They'd probably much more prefer a tasty seagull. I'm just floating here in a pool of my own urine waiting for some tourists to throw me some corn pops. ... you're wrong! The correct answer is corn pops. These are the bears! Trivia question, what is a black bears primary source of food. If you said fruit, nuts, and meat ... Not quite ready to make that climb though, let's see the bears first. No not those bears. However Marineland with their fuzzy marketing includes the 150 foot hill they built it on. Tom thinks he's back home in Blackpool. First thing we see is Sky Screamer, the parks S&S combo tower. Advertised as the tallest drop tower in the world.
