  1. "Could" be. I'd wait until we find out what the ride is before claiming it to be the worlds next #1 coaster. The whole "Cedar Point built it so that means it's better then anything else" is getting tiresome. They could build a very average ride and it would still be trumped as the best the world has ever seen.
  2. That is a giant stretch at best. You really can't call a quarter of one footer an indication of a best ever coaster.
  3. Think Tussauds Group Martin. (assuming I spelt that right). Same idea as Cedar Fair.

  5. ^ Why would they want a crappy used Vekoma flyer? If they're getting a flyer it's going to be B&M. If they were going to take any coaster from GL(And they're not) it'd be Dominator(Batman Knight Flight).
  6. Hands down the St. Louis Blues alternate jersey from 95/96. Though they were never worn as Keenan refused his team to use them. Ugliest jerseys ever. http://nhluniforms.com/1990s/199596Bonus.html
  7. ^ They need alot more then a new coaster. They need more rides in general, along with food. I was surprised just how little places to eat MIA had. MIA had to be one of the most boring parks I have ever been to.
  8. Rita has gas.
  9. "Hey Nicole, check out these man boobs!!"
  10. I'd probably say that the to tier wooden coasters are as good, if not better then the top tier steel. However the more average wooden coasters I find to be not as good as the average steel costers. If that makes sense at all.
  11. ^ Yes, it did. But that was very different incident. TTD had a peice of themeing come off the train. Though granted a very large peice at high speed. But it didn't impace the ride at all, and no one was hurt. It's quite a bit worse when a train loses an actual wheel.
  12. That point sounds just like CP. I've been turned away from Millenium Force because I had a small compact camera case hooked to my belt. It's not like it was going anywhere. So I had to pay a couple bucks on a locker. Or on TTD where they force you to buy camera straps. But the strapes they make you buy are just a thin little string with loops at the end which does nothing to keep your glasses on. In fact by the time the ride was over my strap was across my forehead, and I watched a couple go flying off other peopel's heads.
  13. ^ I know what a poll is about. My point isn't disputing wether or not Cedar Point is best in the world. My point is that it's not a landslide victory like the polls would indicate. I'm not even sure what is the best park in the world. I wouldn't be able to narrow it down to one because there's so many out there. Cedar Point is probably one of the best ride lineups, close with SFMM,SFGam,SFGAdv. While some other parks might not have as good a ride lineup, but offer a better park experience, and are more "fun". Indiana Beach, Kennywood, Holiday World, etc. It's not nearly as white and black as the polls indicate.
  14. ^ It's just a numbers thing. There is just so many people in Cedar Point's area that think the park is the best thing since sliced bread. Because of this anything CP does tends to be praised as the best thing ever. While those of us who have actually travelled and seen what else is there see the park for what it is. A good park with great rides, that is nowhere near the hands down best park in the world(like the polls make it seem).
  15. Actually from what I understand CP does not have higher attendance then some of thoes parks. PKI has higher attendance, I'm guessing SFGam and SFGadv are at least close to CP. In fact even Canadas Wonderland had higher attendance last year. I do like Cedar Point alot, however I would definetly not call it the best in the world. It is severly over rated by the polls, etc. It might have great rides, but it's one of the most analy run parks around. Their no loose articles buy a locker policy is just plain stupid, amongst other things.
  16. ^ But you assume that everyone will be sleeping at the same time. There are going to be ALOT of pictures and video floating around from all of us. Maybe we'll need a UK trip forum just for our trip reports.
  17. Well by origin that typically means where did your family come from originally. So this would mean many generations ago in most cases. In my case it obviously wouldn't be Canada, or even America(my family is from the US). It'd be Scotland most likely if we went back far enough. So your origin would most likely be some European country if you went far enough back.
  18. Not unless Intamin has developed a dive machine. B&M won't build much over 200 feet. And even if they would go that tall it would be way too expenisve. And if CP bought a 500 foot Intamin dive machine prototype, well then they'd obviously be suckers for punishement.
  19. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I beleive the victim was not killed, only suffered serious injuries. And the train itself stalled after the accident. I think I can remember seeing a picture of the train stalled on the track.
  20. Hehe, I just knew I saw them before. I think it was the UK thread. I think Joe commented on the yankee hat, prompting the other hat photos. I sometimes have a great memory, while most other times having a terrible memory.
  21. It should be more like an hour from Clevelan to Sandusky. Well depending on traffic and where you're coming from. I'd suggest going to Cedar Point on the weekday. The saturday will definetly have larger crowds. Actually I'm going to be in the park most likely on the 20th and 21st. That weekend is our May long weekend in Canada. So I always make a trip down, plus it's a birthday tradition for myself.
  22. ^^ Didn't you already post those hat pictures in R&E's Mini UK trip thread?
  23. I'd guess the chances of a 4D are slim to none. They've been burned by prototypes the past few times. And are probably not going to want to get something unproven. I'd say the chances of it being B&M are pretty good. Especially considering how many B&M's have been installed recently in other Cedar Fair parks.
  24. ^ You're not talking about Superman at SFMM are you? TTD's launch has quite a bit more kick to it then Superman. I got bored halway down Superman's launch and wondered when it was going to get going.
  25. ^ Does that mean you're admiting to touchng yourself at night??
