The leg bars didn't hurt me on Outlaw Run, but did uncomfortably push my legs into the bench. They also force an atypical, cramped riding position, but if that's what allows for this style of coaster to have lap bars, then fair enough. It also seems that the Gerstlauer and RMC trains are officially required to touch the rider firmly, with the Gerstlauer trains being more comfortable for this. While you always seem to be essentially stapled on El Toro, it either doesn't feel quite as tight by design or isn't required to be, plus you're in a more typical seating position. -

Happy dance completed! Random unsolicited thoughts: --I've long had my doubts as to whether any park could or would beat the stellar terrain of Outlaw Run (or Boulder Dash or Beast) with another quality coaster like an RMC. Likely Dollywood, maybe BGW if they happened to go that route, but otherwise I kept drawing a blank. Well, this kind of terrain coaster is exactly what I was dreaming of! --Wow, Robb was really spot on with the "not gimmicky" angle. I kept thinking maybe it would have something technically "gimmicky," but in an enthusiast-popular way. Nope, not gimmicky at all! (I'm not counting wooden inversions as gimmicks since now that reliable technologies are here, it's starting to seem pretty natural to me.) --One of my (unposted) ideas was a terrain-based RMC airtime machine...like many of us I'm sure, I have a small, meaningless claim to being "right." Yay! --I think this was handled very well by everyone involved. No leaks, no inappropriately overt hints, but lots of wild imagination and tantalizing teases and FUN! Even with all the other ideas I can't think of anything I consider a letdown. --I agree with others--how awesome is it that not only do they have the guts to call this the "best" wooden coaster, but even better, we're totally on board with that possibility and not shaking our heads or laughing about it! -

^^I'm wondering if that's a hint or just a general comment. Either way, I totally agree. Plenty of my top coasters are either short for their kind, or just plain short. (No, not Wacky Worm short.) -

I'm suddenly not sure why I haven't given much thought to the tilt coaster idea. It seems like something Robb might consider more game-changing than gimmicky. Well, at least as long as it's more "Vekoma Tilt Coaster" (without the Vekoma part) and less "Th13teen drop...that tilts." -
Sent. As always, Six Flags writes every sentence in a way making it clear they think their clientele is dumb as bricks (no comment). My intelligence may never recover, but I digress. While I have strong and picky personal opinions, I lean towards thinking it's fine for guests to see employee style choices they may not like or agree with, within reason.

^So I'm not the only one who thinks about stuff like this. I'm actually mildly curious about what others are listening to, so it helps to differentiate between song title and artist. Often I know or can infer it, but it makes things a little easier on the ol' brain. Lately I've been trying to use either quotation marks for the song title or at least a simple "by."

^^I was trying to remember where I'd seen him recently, and realized it was an Andy Hardy film on TV. Pretty sure I spotted him in an awards show audience or something like that, too. Good that he lived such a long and full life.

^^That might be the most exciting post yet. Good thing we don't have long to wait! -
^That wouldn't shock me. I'll have their phone number on the ready in case I have a bad hunch.

"Empire State Express" - Son House How did I never know about guys like this before?? My loss.

Thanks guys. I'm just going to make my decisions on the fly, but it's all good since I was more curious than worried. To add to/clarify the above, currently the site is listing the amusements as being open on Fridays as well.

"Sadie" - Hound Dog Taylor & the House Rockers Call it blues or call it rock and roll...I'm just shocked that this is from the 70s and not the 50s. Side note, I feel like even I could almost play this song.

I sure hope the lighting package is a standard feature on these! Some of the most fun and eye-catching in the business. (Yes, I saw that this particular one will have one.) -

Yeah, I'm not too worried about it as it looks really cool either way, but I'll go with RCDB's final verdict (or maybe Coaster-Count, which seems to be based on RCDB anyway apart from traveling and alpine coasters).
