  1. ^^^^^ That sounds like an absolutely "titillating" experience!
  2. Here's the way I look at it folks: If you are a coaster fan and you are feeling charitable, then you can donate what you want AND get a coaster ride. That to me is like getting the free T-shirt or coupon what have you when you donate blood. So you're donating money to a great cause AND you get a free coaster ride (I don't believe you have to pay addmission).
  3. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ hahaha Simpson's quote! "In Soviet Russia, car drives you!"
  4. ooooo Thanks for yet another great update.
  5. Thanks for the great trip report. I liked how you took an eiffel tower picture. Tom
  6. B&M flyer looks worlds better. Nice changes!
  7. Yeah and the new trains were supposed to be smoother but I haven't really seen that. The vibrating quick up and down jarring is what gets me.
  8. That S-Bend by the first loop would sure be a head banger. I'd remove it and then you'd just have to realign the track by redoing the other loops and making that left turn after longer.
  9. Yeah I'd definately retry that pretzel loop again
  10. Oh man that thing was cruising! I'm most excited about the launch capabilities and the alleged ability to absorb some of the roughness. Let's get a few of these on Son of Beast pronto as that coaster kicks my @$$!
  11. Cedar Point is my home park and about 10 minutes from my driveway. I go usually 20-30 times or so a year. I usually go in the early part of the season and the late part. I tend to not go very often in the summer as the lines are longer.
  12. Yep all three trains running and there was even a bit of a line before the station. Here's a few screen captures I got
  13. To reply back to the skid brake vs magnetic trimming of the Best issue: When there was the skid brakes, it was really only "noticeable" in the covered stretch but with the magnetic trims, OMG! The trim break on the first hill for example threw me forward in my seat! There were a few other places too that were like this. For example the covered area is now even slower due to these trims and the part before the second lift hill seems only about half speed. Now there is ONE area that I welcomed the new trims at, and that was the downhill portion on the finale helix. I like the trims here because it makes the helix a little more bareable on the body but that's it! So in closing is this coaster in my top 10 wooden coasters anymore? Nope. Will I be voting it in the Amusement Today poll? Nope. Remove some of the trims (espicially the one on the damn first hill) and I'll change my mind. Tom
  14. I don't think the ride is better at all. Unless a preshow comes back and theming is installed I think most of the general public will walk away from this ride (especially those who rode the original) thinking wtf was that? Add theming and bring back a preshow. Btw side note: After discovering this change after going last year I did email the park voicing my displeasure in this and my displeasure for the now OVERLY trimed Beast (they ruined it too imo).
  15. I'll have to respectfully disagree with you x1,000 on that. When I went in August last year all the theming in there had been removed, the preshow was gone. It was just a Huss Topspin inside a building. That ride is ruined for me untill the theming comes back.
  16. I miss Batman Knight Flight.... *cough* Dominator
  17. Yay I remember being there! Hope you have fun!
  18. My first looping coaster was Vortex at Kings Island. Nothing like 6 loops to start you off right? Then next was King Cobra standing up! I thought that was pretty sweet in middle school lol.
  19. Thanks for the POV..... That's a quick ride
  20. Great photos! Did you happen to take a POV video of it?
  21. Hmmm I wonder if this is a place like Iran where as Amadenajda (probably wrong spelling but I could care less) "there are no gays" lol
  22. Now if the government would only let us drill for our own oil, and at the same time adjust our infastructure to start creating hydrogen fueling stations, places like Dubai will be ghostowns in a decade or so!
  23. Ok thanks for the tip. It's going to boil down to probably when is the convenient time for us to go cause I'll be with a group of people to see my brother perform at a comedy club in LA that he won a trip out there to perform so that's actually my real reason of going. Would love to do a SFMM trip but I couldn't be there all day. BUT since I am a Cedar Fair passholder, I might as well stop by. I'll suggest Sunday to the group!
  24. Getting back to the Intamin reliability issue, having gone to the park quite a bit last summer I will say Dragster ran pretty well this past season. And I can think of only 3 times when I personally witnessed issues with Maverick (and I've had a lot of rides) and one of the times was a wave cap getting caught in one of the train wheels and they had to take the train off the track so I don't really count that.
